Definitions
- the invention relates to a device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- the system to be monitored can become so large on the monitoring desk that it is difficult or even impossible for the operator to control. For this reason, the operating and reporting levels are often separated from each other in such systems.
- the operator has an operating panel on which he can carry out the operating actions while the actual monitoring of the operating state takes place on a large-scale message board which is arranged at a certain distance from the operator.
- a switchboard signal box is known for example from DE-PS 10 56 649.
- the actual control panel is designed as a number control panel.
- the elements to be operated in the outdoor area are numerically coded and can be selected individually by pressing the appropriate pushbuttons and activated if necessary.
- the selected one Number is visually marked on the control panel and on the panorama board; the associated actuating job is only carried out when the operator is satisfied with the correctness of the operator action entered and has pressed a special release button.
- the well-known switchboard signal box with separate operating and reporting levels has the disadvantage that there is no direct relationship between the operating action and the process. The operator must convert the operating action into a numerical input before it is carried out and then check by eye on the panorama board whether the desired operating action corresponds to the operating action to be carried out. He also has to monitor the reaction resulting from the operating action on the panorama board.
- the object of the invention is a device according to the Oberbe handle of claim 1 to specify, which allows to display on a control panel provided in addition to the panorama panel even in large-scale systems as the operator is used to from the panorama panel and to provide with controls that can be activated in a known manner by means of a coupling pin and the activation of which can be recognized by the observer on the control panel; this is particularly important for monitoring such operations that consist of several operating steps.
- the operations should be as tiring as possible and they should be reliable, in particular they should not lead to incorrect entries due to parallax symptoms.
- the device according to the invention for controlling the operation in control rooms consists of the panel 1 of a control panel, on which the operator performs operating actions.
- the operator can follow the operation of the system to be controlled on a panorama board, not shown in the drawing, which is located at a distance in front of the control panel in the viewing direction.
- the panorama board contains the switching means for identifying the operating events of the system to be controlled
- the panel 1 contains, in addition to a schematic representation of the system to be controlled, operating elements with the aid of which the operating actions are carried out can be.
- the system to be controlled in the exemplary embodiment shown a station system, represents a scaled-down representation of the system on the panorama board.
- each control element - only two such control elements are indicated in Figure 1 - consists of a control field and a message field.
- the control fields 3 are identified in the drawing by a black dot, the message fields 4 by a white dot.
- An infrared diode is assigned to each control field, and a diode for emitting light in the visible spectral range is assigned to each detection field.
- the field of view 2 which is preferably represented by a film printed on the back, has cutouts for the two diodes in the area of the control and signaling fields which are transparent to the radiation emitted by the associated light-emitting diode.
- a coupling pin 5 designed as a light pen.
- the coupling pin 5 is placed with its reading head on the control field 3 of an operating element.
- the hand of the operator guiding the coupling pin rests on the essentially horizontally arranged control panel.
- the infrared diodes assigned to the control fields are briefly cyclically switched on in succession by a control device.
- An evaluation device connected to the coupling pin 5 and to the control device determines the respectively activated control field from the point in time at which an infrared diode illuminates the reading head of the coupling pin 5 and then initiates the connection of the light-emitting diode assigned to the respectively associated detection field.
- the control element marked on the control panel is thus identified for the observer.
- the evaluation device which is preferably represented by a computer or a computer system that also evaluates and carries out the operating actions as such, switches on the light-emitting diode associated with the detection field of an activated control field for a predetermined period of time.
- the LEDs assigned to the controls are activated until the operation is completed.
- An operating action can be completed, for example, by activating the second operating element.
- This release switching means can be a separate control button or a control panel on a special function field 6 next to the field of view 2. The input of an operator action is then carried out by placing the coupling pin 5 on the corresponding control panel of the special function field 6.
- the panel 1 of the control panel has two further function fields 7 and 8. Both function fields contain a certain number of control elements that can be activated either directly or by means of the coupling pin 5.
- the controls of the function field 7 correspond to the group keys of the usual signal box circuit, via which auxiliary actions are carried out. For example, the individual switch conversion depends on the activation of the control field assigned to a switch and the activation of an operating element of the functional field 7 assigned to the switch conversion.
- the controls of the function field 8 are used to enter alphanumeric characters, such as those e.g. are required for train number reporting.
- the light-emitting diodes 13 and 14 assigned to the individual operating elements are arranged in a grid and fixed on a circuit board, which, as seen by the observer, is arranged behind the field of vision 2. Behind this board there is another board at a short distance, on which the control logic for activating the LEDs is housed.
- the light-emitting diodes can be designed to be pluggable, the circuit board then having to be provided with corresponding sockets for receiving the light-emitting diodes.
- those assigned to each control element two LEDs 13 and 14 arranged in a common housing. In this embodiment, only a single radiation-permeable recess needs to be provided for the two light-emitting diodes assigned to an operating element on the field of view 2.
- control fields are assigned infrared diodes, the radiation of which is to be detected by a coupling pin.
- the arrangement can also be such that the coupling pin itself is designed as a radiation transmitter and the control fields as receivers for this radiation.
- the radiation can be optical or other electromagnetic radiation. To avoid false influences, the radiation emanating from the transmitter of the coupling pin must be modulated in a defined manner and the determination of the control field activated by the coupling pin must be made dependent on the presence of this defined modulated radiation.
- the radiation receivers of the control fields can be designed, for example, as phototransistors.
- the device according to the invention for controlling operating events makes it possible to make the system shown on a panorama board visible to the observer on a greatly reduced scale because it is freed from the means for monitoring the operating events and only the means, which are quite small in their dimensions, for includes performing operations and the feedback switching means provided to control the operations.
- This makes it possible to associatively control such extensive systems with a single, relatively small-volume control panel that previously could either only be controlled in a non-associative manner or that had to be displayed more or less abstractly on video screens.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device according to the preamble of
To monitor the process in a plant complex, it is known to depict the plant in question schematically on a display panel and to mark the process state of the individual plant elements in color. So there is e.g. in the signal boxes of the railway system, control and monitoring desks, on which the outdoor area, the station to be controlled, is shown with all its elements such as tracks, switches and signals. The respective operating status of these elements can be recognized by the colored illumination of the permanently assigned message fields. Operating devices in the form of buttons are also integrated into the course of the illustration, the actuation of which specifically causes either the reversal of a specific individual element of the exterior or the route-wise reversal of a large number of elements of the exterior.
In the case of large-scale complexes, such as large train stations, the system to be monitored can become so large on the monitoring desk that it is difficult or even impossible for the operator to control. For this reason, the operating and reporting levels are often separated from each other in such systems. The operator has an operating panel on which he can carry out the operating actions while the actual monitoring of the operating state takes place on a large-scale message board which is arranged at a certain distance from the operator. Such a switchboard signal box is known for example from DE-PS 10 56 649. There the actual control panel is designed as a number control panel. The elements to be operated in the outdoor area are numerically coded and can be selected individually by pressing the appropriate pushbuttons and activated if necessary. The selected one Number is visually marked on the control panel and on the panorama board; the associated actuating job is only carried out when the operator is satisfied with the correctness of the operator action entered and has pressed a special release button. The well-known switchboard signal box with separate operating and reporting levels has the disadvantage that there is no direct relationship between the operating action and the process. The operator must convert the operating action into a numerical input before it is carried out and then check by eye on the panorama board whether the desired operating action corresponds to the operating action to be carried out. He also has to monitor the reaction resulting from the operating action on the panorama board.
In order to maintain the direct relationship (associative determination) between the operating action and the process, it is known to display the system to be controlled by means of a video device on the control panel and to trigger the operating actions by placing a coupling pin on certain operating fields in the diagram shown. The operating point activated by the coupling pin flashes to show the operator the control panel he has marked (Signal und Draht 75 (1983) 5, pages 79 to 83). This known control device for signal boxes has the disadvantage that the representation of the system to be controlled on the video device is highly schematic and its shape does not match the representation on the additional panorama board, which is regarded as particularly expedient. The reason for this is that the screens of the video devices are limited in their dimensions, so that in the case of large-scale outdoor facilities, an extremely compact structure must be selected in the display. It is also disadvantageous that the operation via a light pen on an approximately vertical viewing screen is relatively tiring for the operator. When using screens, there is also the risk of operating errors due to parallax due to the thickness of the screen surface.
The object of the invention is a device according to the Oberbe handle of
The invention solves this problem both by the characterizing features of

- in

- in Figure 2 shows schematically the arrangement of the elements provided there for performing operations and the elements for feedback of the operations performed.
The device according to the invention for controlling the operation in control rooms consists of the
It is operated using a coupling pin 5 designed as a light pen. To perform an operating action, the coupling pin 5 is placed with its reading head on the control field 3 of an operating element. During the operating action, the hand of the operator guiding the coupling pin rests on the essentially horizontally arranged control panel. The infrared diodes assigned to the control fields are briefly cyclically switched on in succession by a control device. An evaluation device connected to the coupling pin 5 and to the control device determines the respectively activated control field from the point in time at which an infrared diode illuminates the reading head of the coupling pin 5 and then initiates the connection of the light-emitting diode assigned to the respectively associated detection field. The control element marked on the control panel is thus identified for the observer. The evaluation device, which is preferably represented by a computer or a computer system that also evaluates and carries out the operating actions as such, switches on the light-emitting diode associated with the detection field of an activated control field for a predetermined period of time. For multi-step operations, such as for setting a driving road through the start / destination markings are required, the LEDs assigned to the controls are activated until the operation is completed. An operating action can be completed, for example, by activating the second operating element. However, it is also possible to make the further processing of an operating action by the computer or the computer system dependent on the activation of a separate release switching means. This release switching means can be a separate control button or a control panel on a special function field 6 next to the field of
In addition to the field of
As can be seen from FIG. 2, the light-
In the exemplary embodiment explained above, it is assumed that the control fields are assigned infrared diodes, the radiation of which is to be detected by a coupling pin. However, the arrangement can also be such that the coupling pin itself is designed as a radiation transmitter and the control fields as receivers for this radiation. The radiation can be optical or other electromagnetic radiation. To avoid false influences, the radiation emanating from the transmitter of the coupling pin must be modulated in a defined manner and the determination of the control field activated by the coupling pin must be made dependent on the presence of this defined modulated radiation. The radiation receivers of the control fields can be designed, for example, as phototransistors.
The device according to the invention for controlling operating events makes it possible to make the system shown on a panorama board visible to the observer on a greatly reduced scale because it is freed from the means for monitoring the operating events and only the means, which are quite small in their dimensions, for includes performing operations and the feedback switching means provided to control the operations. This makes it possible to associatively control such extensive systems with a single, relatively small-volume control panel that previously could either only be controlled in a non-associative manner or that had to be displayed more or less abstractly on video screens.
