Auch ist es möglich, die Dichtblätter in der Überlappungszone miteinander, vorteilhafterweise punktförmig zu verbinden, um die Dichtwirkung zu erhöhen. Die bisherigen Versuche haben jedoch gezeigt, daß eine Verbindung zwischen den Dichtblättern, abgesehen von ihren Befestigungszonen mit den Siebelementen bzw. Rahmenseitenteilen, nicht erforderlich ist. Die erfindungsgemäße Dichtung eignet sich für alle Siebvorrichtungen, bei denen die Roststäbe gegenüber den Rahmen eine Bewegung ausführen. Diese Bewegung kann senkrecht zur Siebfläche gerichtet sein, so daß sich das Sieb abwechselnd zwischen den Roststäben nach oben oder unten durchwölbt. Die Richtung der Bewegung der Roststäbe kann auch parallel zur Siebfläche verlaufen. Die erfindungsgemäße Dichtung ist jedoch mit besonderem Vorteil dort anzuwenden, wo die Roststäbe eine kreisende Bewegung ausführen.The invention is not restricted to the exemplary embodiment shown. 1. 5. A lateral seal according to any one of claims I to 4, characterised in that the overlap zone of the sealing laminae (5) in the screen direction (8) is equal to 1/6 to 1/3 of the distance between the grating bars.
6. A lateral seal according to any one of claims 1 to 5 characterised in that the overlap zones of the sealing laminae (5) between the zones (6, 10) where they are fixed to the screen elements (2) and to the frame side parts (3) are not interconnected.
