Beyond the fan 10 as seen in the air flow direction, an orifice 12 or similar restriction is provided which causes the generation of a pressure difference along this restriction when the fan 10 is operating.
- Conduits 13 and 14 respectively are connected at both sides of the orifice 12 to both sides of an air pressure control membrane 15. Said membrane 15 is connected through a connection rod 16 or different connection mechanism to the membrane 7 of the gas pressure control 6.
- the appliance operates as follows, that, if the thermostat 11 is used, a control signal for producing heat in connection with the decreasing or too low temperature in the room, in which the temperature has to be controlled, said signal operates the fan 10 for operation with a higher or lower number of revolutions, whereby air, having a predetermined pressure is caused to flow in the direction towards the burner 3. Due to the pressure difference, which is established along the orifice 12, the air pressure membrane 15 is displaced and by means of the rod 16 also the gas pressure membrane 7 is displaced, so that gas is supplied to the conduit 5. The mixture of air and gas further flows in the conduit 2 towards the burners. The area of the membrane is computed such that therewith, also with modulating gas pressure control, always a correct combustion ratio is obtained.
- the thermostat 11 issues a control signal for more heat when the fan 10 is rotating already and the burners 3 are burning, e.g. if the thermostat is adjusted to a higher value. In that case the number of revolutions of the fan 10 is increased, whereby also an increased pressure difference along the orifice 12 is established and the gas supply is adapted to the increased air supply.
