Abstract
In the case of a plastic sheet bung welded together from two or more parts with a jacket part, a base part and a lid part which has bung openings (eg 9) recessed in the recesses, on the inner surface (12) of each recess (eg 11) of the lid part (4) A barrier (13) is formed in one piece from the jacket part (14) and runs in an arc around the respective bung opening (9) and forms a collecting shell for a residual content (16) of the barrel. This allows complete emptying when the barrel is tilted. The barrier (13) is lower in the area around the bung opening (9) than in the areas towards the casing part (14), so that the barrier (13) is not a hindrance when cleaning the barrel.
Description
The invention relates to a plastic sheet bung, welded together from two or more parts, with a jacket part, a base part and a cover part, which has bung openings sunk into recesses.
In the case of bung barrels of this type, it is not possible to completely empty the contents because of the arrangement of the bung sunk for their protection, because this residue accumulates on the lid part around the inwardly projecting depressions when the barrel is tilted and therefore cannot flow out through the bung openings.
The invention has for its object to design the bung of the type mentioned so that a complete emptying of the same is possible.
This object is achieved in that on the inner surface of each recess of the cover part an integrally formed from the shell part extending around the respective bung opening barrier forming a catchment for a residual content of the barrel. The barrier around the bung opening can be lower than towards the jacket part.
The new bung can be emptied down to the last drop of liquid content due to the catch bowl formed by the barrier, because when the barrel is tipped, this residual content is inevitably directed through the barrier to the bung opening and not laterally past the recesses that protrude when the barrel is tilted can run into the lower part of the lid.
Dabei zeigt
- Fig. 1 einen Längsschnitt durch das erfindungsgemäße Spundfaß,
- Fig. 2 eine Teildraufsicht im Bereich einer Spundöffnung,
- 1 shows a longitudinal section through the bung barrel according to the invention,
- 2 is a partial plan view in the area of a bung opening,
- Fig. 3 is an enlarged partial section along the line III-III in Fig. 2 and
- Fig. 4 is a partial section in the area of a bung with the barrel tilted.
The bung (1) shown consists of a jacket part (2), a bottom part (3) and a lid part (4), all of which are made of plastic, the bottom part (3) and the lid part (4) being plastic injection-molded parts, while the jacket part (2) produced in a different way, for example blown or extruded. Bottom and cover part (3, 4) have circumferential rings (5) and are welded to the casing part at (2a) and (2b). The bottom part (3) can also be formed in one piece with the jacket part (2).
The cover part (4) has two diametrically opposed, integrally formed bung (6, 7) which can be set up for screw closure and form bung openings (8, 9) which can be closed with appropriate screw plugs (not shown). The bung (6, 7) are arranged in their recesses (10, 11) in the cover part (4) to protect them.
A barrier (13) is integrally formed on the inner surface (12) of each of the depressions (10, 11), which starts from an edge (14) of the cover part (4) which merges into the casing part (2) and is curved around the respective bung opening ( 8, 9) runs around. In the arcuate region (15) of the barrier (13), this is lower, and its height gradually rises to the edge (14) of the cover part (4), as can be seen particularly clearly from FIG. 4, which shows a radial section through the cover part (4 ) shows in the area of the bung (7), the barrel (1) being tilted for complete emptying.
In Fig. 4 a small remainder (16) of the barrel content is shown, and it can be clearly seen that this remainder (16) is held by the barrier (13) when the barrel (1) is tilted further and is fed to the bung opening (9) , so that this remainder (16) cannot flow back into the barrel (1) when it is tilted or turned upside down into the then lower areas next to the then upstanding recess (11). If the rest (16) is larger, it can of course happen that when the barrel (1) is tilted for the first time, part of the rest (16) spills over the barrier (13). After a second tilting of the barrel (1), however, the last remainder (16) of the barrel content should be emptied, so that environmental damage or other damage that could arise from the rest of the barrel content can be avoided. In addition, the internal cleaning of the barrel (1) is easier, and so that this cleaning is not hindered by the barrier (13), this is kept lower in the arcuate region (15) near the bung opening (8) or (9).
