Description

The invention relates to seating furniture according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

In a known piece of seating of this type (EP-A 0 185 388), the adjustment device forces a simultaneous synchronous adjustment of both the front seat part and the backrest, as well as the pelvic lumbar support, the output section of which, when the seating furniture is transferred from the working position to the rest position extends at least over the entire lumbar region of the spine of the chair user. If the known seating furniture is in the working position, the seating surface runs approximately horizontally. The adjusting device comprises an adjusting lever which is curved over approximately 90 ° and which is articulated on the seat part carrier and articulates on the backrest. The adjusting lever can be swiveled using a pneumatic cylinder. The pelvic lumbar support is supported on the adjusting lever by an approximately vertically arranged spring.

It is also known in a chair to divide the chair contour supporting the user into a part forming the seat surface, a pelvic support part and a part forming the backrest and to make the pelvic support adjustable.

The latter also such that the user has no influence on the adjustment (DE-C 1 256 840, column 3, lines 39-47).

In a known armchair of a similar type, the rocker arm can be fixed in a set position by means of a friction-locking lamella package through which a clamping bolt passes, and a forced and synchronous tilt adjustment of the seat part and backrest is provided in a ratio of approximately 1: 2 (WO 86/00508, embodiment of the Figures 6, 6a).

The invention has for its object to develop a piece of seating of the type mentioned in such a way that its shell elements, which divide the armchair shell contour into stable support and flexible elastic zones, change automatically and continuously when the seating position of the armchair user changes, and much better the movements taking place , i.e. adapt to the active body motor and support the body of the chair user in the pelvic lumbar area throughout.

This object is achieved by the features mentioned in the characterizing part of patent claim 1.

With such a design, about a third of the seat is formed by the pelvic lumbar support. The third joint axis (36) is so low that it is still within the lumbar region of the chair user (= static mean of the body sizes). The forced pivoting relationship between the pelvic lumbar support B and the front seat part S has the consequence that the seat surface has a kink to a certain extent when the seating is in the working position by the supporting surface of the input section b of the pelvic lumbar part (B) with the adjacent supporting surface of the front seat part S obtuse angle (ß in Fig. 2) includes. With the possibility of a motor-driven swiveling of the backrest part articulated via the third swivel axis backwards against the force of a spring, a multiple need, in particular young people, for backward stretching is taken into account, which is carried out in the working position, in the rest position but also in intermediate positions of the seating furniture can. Extreme retraction of the spine is associated with a correspondingly desired stretching of the stomach and abdominal region.

The weight-based, adjustable spring base of the swing arm of the chair that holds the seat shell, in conjunction with a harmoniously graduated upholstery of the various support areas of its seat shell, ensures pleasant contact with the seat and back thanks to the large area of the body load. The synchronous adjustment of the seat, rear transition zone and backrest profile results in a fatigue-free balance of the upper body with optimal mobility and prevents the pelvis from tilting excessively in every sitting position.

The invention is explained below with the aid of exemplary embodiments.

The schematic representation according to FIG. 1 shows the possible transfer of the seating furniture from a position that is optimal for the posture of the working user (working position according to solid lines) to an extreme rear resting position (dashed lines), but also the basic structure of the seating furniture :
  • The pedestal 10 comprises a height-adjustable support spindle 10a. A seat part carrier 11, which is shown in FIGS. 6-8, is rotatably received by the latter. The seat part carrier is plugged onto the upper end of the support spindle 10 in the region of its receiving part 11 a provided with a receiving bore. The seat part carrier 11 extends to the front while being prepared, where it ends in a bearing section 11b (in FIG. 4) which runs linearly and transversely to the plane of symmetry bb. Bearing eyes for a first pivot axis of a rocker 14 formed by coaxial axle bolts 12 and further bearing eyes for coaxial axle bolts 32 of synchronous levers 25 are formed on this bearing portion 11b, as shown in particular in FIGS. 6-8 in connection with Fig. 4 can be seen. The vertical parallel projection of the seat part carrier 11 corresponds approximately to an isosceles triangle, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 7. The front seat part S is formed from the rocker 14, an associated seat shell 18 and upholstery 18a and is articulated via the rocker 14 with the aid of the first pivot axis 12 in an area adjacent to the front edge of the seat part S on the seat part carrier 11. A rear pelvic-lumbar support B with shell 15 'is connected to the rocker 14 via a horizontal second pivot axis 17'. The body-motorized pivoting of the seat part S and pelvic lumbar support B is synchronized with the aid of the synchronizing lever 25 such that pivoting the seat part S forces the pivoting of the pelvic lumbar support by a pivoting angle which is 2.5 times greater is as the swivel angle of the seat part S. The backrest R is closed directly at the upper edge of the pelvic lumbar support B and connected to it via a third swivel axis 36. A swiveling out of the backrest R caused by body movement takes place counter to the action of a spring force. This is preferably formed by leg springs 42 (in FIG. 2) which are received by the axle bolts forming the third pivot axis 36 and whose legs rest on the one hand on the pelvic lumbar support B and on the other hand on the backrest R.

As in particular from FIGS. 2 and 3 can be seen, the input section b of the pelvic lumbar support B adjoining the seat part S runs approximately perpendicular to its output section b 'adjoining the backrest R. This output section b 'is approximately half as long as the input section. The inlet section and outlet section merge into one another via an arcuate section k (FIG. 2). The synchronizing levers 25 engage on the seat part carrier 11 via the coaxial axle bolts 32. The axle bolts 32 are located approximately in a vertical plane aa passing through the pivot axis of the rocker 14 (FIG. 3). At the other end, the synchronizing lever 25 is articulated via a transverse axis 30 to a support plate 15 arranged on the lumbar-lumbar support part B. The transverse axis 30 is offset relative to the second pivot axis 17 'of the rocker arm 14 formed by the axle bolts 17 in such a way that a pivoting ratio between the rocker arm 14 and the pelvic lumbar support B is approximately 1 / s. To lock the set inclinations of seat part S and pelvic-lumbar support part B, two friction-locking plate packs 24, 33 are provided, which lie symmetrically to the plane of symmetry bb (FIG. 4) and are penetrated by a clamping bolt 22 which can be controlled manually by means of an eccentric. The pelvic lumbar support B arresting frictional lamella pack 24 is rigidly connected to the pelvic lumbar support B via the transverse axis 30 and via a transverse bolt 31 parallel to this transverse axis 30 and extends forwardly under the seat part S. At the front, essentially widened end, the friction-locking plate pack 24 has a circular arc-shaped, penetrated by the clamping bolt 22 longitudinal slot. The friction plate pack 33 for locking the rocker 14 is pivotally mounted on a stationary bearing axis 23 of the seat part carrier 11, extends approximately in the vertical direction. The length of its elongated hole limits the potential pivot angle of the rocker 14 and thus the seat part S. The friction plates of the friction plate pack 24 for the pelvic lumbar support B and the friction plates of the friction plate pack 33 for the rocker 14 are in the range of Clamping pin 22 alternately, which results in a space-saving arrangement of the locking means. A coil spring 13d for supporting the rocker 14 is arranged symmetrically to the plane of symmetry aa (FIG. 2) between the support spindle 10a and the front edge of the seat part S and is caught between a support bearing of the rocker 14 and a lower bearing plate 13e. The coil spring 13d is provided with a device 13 for changing its pretension. This device 13 comprises a screw bolt 13b which is provided with a handwheel 13a and which engages with the internal thread of a screw nut 13c fixed in the seat part carrier 11, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 2. The bearing plate 13e sits on the screw bolt 13b and can thus transmit the axial movement component of the rotating screw bolt 13b to the coil spring 13d. Two further helical springs arranged on both sides of the plane of symmetry bb are provided for the suspension of the rocker 14. Their arrangement in the space between the bore 10a 'and the support spindle 10a and the helical spring 13d results from FIG. 7, where the abutments 11f are indicated for these further helical springs. The position of the helical spring 13d also results from FIG. 7, in that the support surface 11 can be seen there, on which the bearing plate 13e with a low preload the coil spring 13d rests. 11 i denotes a recess corresponding to the screw nut 13c, in which this screw nut 13c is received in a form-fitting manner.

The axle bolts 17 (FIGS. 2, 3) forming the second pivot axis 17 ′ (FIG. 1) pass through bearing eyes 14b of the rocker 14, which is mounted on the first pivot axis 12 via the bearing eyes 14a. The rocker 14, as can be seen in particular from FIG. 10, has two legs 14c which extend between the bearing eyes 14a and 14b and are connected to one another via a bridge 14f. With 14d formations are designated, which form a bearing for the clamping device for locking the inclination of the seat part S and pelvic lumbar support B. The third pivot axis 36 of the backrest R is about 14 cm above the second pivot axis 17 'of the pelvic lumbar support B when the armchair is in the working position. When the armchair is extremely at rest, the supporting surface of the input section of the pelvic lumbar support B and the supporting surface of the seat part S are in a common, slightly backward inclined plane cc (Fig. 3).

In special cases, it may be expedient to pivot the pelvic lumbar support B from its lower pivot position (FIG. 3) into its upper pivot position (FIG. 2) by the action of a spring force, preferably by leg spring 37 (FIGS. 2, 3 ) to support.

If the person sitting on the seating leans back after releasing the locking of the set inclinations of the seat part S and pelvic lumbar support B, the seating furniture is moved from a working position (Fig. 2, 15) to a rest position (Fig. 3, 16 ) transferred. In the rest position, the seated person can stretch or bend his back back against the force of the spring 42. This results in a significant shift of the body's center of gravity backwards, so that there is a risk of the seating furniture tipping over backwards. This risk can be countered, for example, by a corresponding restriction of the backrest R being able to be swung out backwards.

In many cases, however, the greatest possible swiveling of the backrest R to the desired back extension is required. In this case, a device can be provided to reliably avoid the risk of the seating furniture tipping backwards, which causes the center of gravity to be shifted forward when the seated person leans backwards to the maximum extent that the backrest can be pivoted out. How this device is constructed and works is shown in the diagrams of FIGS. 15 and 16:
  • The axle bolts 12 of the rocker 14 are horizontally displaceably mounted in horizontal slots 50 of the stationary seat part carrier 11. The maximum displacement path X corresponds to the length of the elongated holes 50. As can be seen from a comparison of FIGS. 15 and 16, the shell contour formed from the front seat part S, pelvic lumbar support B and backrest R is the body-supporting shell contour during the transition of the seating furniture from the working position ( Fig. 15) in the rest position (Fig. 16) by the distance X to the rear. The displacement is effected with the aid of a lever system H which is articulated to the rocker 14 for the seat part S, the support plate 15 for the lumbar lumbar support B and the stationary seat part carrier 11. This comprises two levers 51 which are articulated on one end to the stationary seat part support 11 by means of axle bolts 52 and at the other end on the rocker 14 by means of axle bolts 53. With upper extension ends 51 'of the lever 51, two further levers 54 are connected in an articulated manner via axle bolts 56, which are articulated on the back by means of axle bolts 55 of the support plate 15 for the pelvic lumbar support B. The swiveling of the back part R against the action of the spring 42 (FIG. 2) about the axis 36, which can be effected by the body motor, is illustrated by the position of the backrest which is not swiveled out and which is indicated by broken lines. The horizontal displacement of the body-supporting shell contour formed by the distance X backwards from the front seat part S with rocker 14, the pelvic lumbar support B with support plate 15 and the backrest R is effected by the pivoting of the pelvic lumbar support B backwards. As can be seen from a comparison of FIGS. 15 and 16, the levers 54 are essentially forward to a position according to FIG. 15 due to a forced guidance of the axle bolts 55 about the axis 17 ′ in a circular arc K ′ from a position according to FIG. 15 16 postponed. As a result, the levers 51 are pivoted from their position according to FIG. 15 into the position according to FIG. 16 about the stationary axle bolts 52. Since these levers 51 are articulated in their upper half via the axle bolts 53 to the rocker 14, the movement unit referred to above as the shell contour is shifted forward by the distance X by its pivoting. This results in a shift of the center of gravity of the seated person to the front during the transition of the seating furniture from the working position according to FIG. 15 to the rest position according to FIG. 16. As a result, the risk of the seating furniture tipping over to the rear is reliably avoided, even if the seated person leans backwards in the rest position with the backrest swung out to the maximum.

The division of the shell contour, which is determined by the pelvic lumbar support B, according to the anatomical principles of the seat, the specific synchronous position of the seat part S and the pelvic lumbar support B and the possibility of springing back of the backrest adjoining the latter result in a "dynamic sitting" in the pelvic lumbar region erect spine.
