Definitions
- the present invention relates to a childproof screw closure which is resistant to overturning (known from US Pat. No. 4,436,211).
- Such childproof screw caps are used for storage containers with household chemicals or the like, in particular for bottles containing cleaning liquids.
- the closure is also for other containers, such as. B. suitable containing medicinal products.
- Closures for detergent bottles are known in which the opening is carried out by pressing opposing screw cap parts together and simultaneously rotating them counterclockwise.
- the childproof lock consists in corresponding stops of the screw cap which have radially spreading catches on the bottle, the stops being behind them in the closed state.
- the screw cap is formed in two parts, the periphery represents the actual (carrying the stops) elastically deformable by hand force, inside a threaded part is arranged concentrically.
- the present invention has therefore set itself the task of creating a screw closure of the type described above, which can be manufactured in an injection molding process while increasing the functional reliability.
- the separate internal threaded part is understood to mean a preferably cylindrical part with an internal thread.
- the outer cap shell is formed on the head side in such a way that it can be pressed together by hand to release the stops located behind the catches.
- the design as a two-start thread each with a wrap angle of s180 °, creates two half-threads on the spout, the upper lower edge of the half-thread running out over the upper edge of the respective lower half-thread.
- Such a thread can be produced without an undercut, but is limited to a relatively shallow pitch and is therefore not secure against overturning.

Abstract
Description
B. Arzneien enthaltende geeignet. The present invention relates to a childproof screw closure which is resistant to overturning (known from US Pat. No. 4,436,211). Such childproof screw caps are used for storage containers with household chemicals or the like, in particular for bottles containing cleaning liquids. The closure is also for other containers, such as. B. suitable containing medicinal products.
Closures for detergent bottles are known in which the opening is carried out by pressing opposing screw cap parts together and simultaneously rotating them counterclockwise.
Overtightening these closures when closing is made difficult by the correspondingly large dimensioning of the thread used, the childproof lock consists in corresponding stops of the screw cap which have radially spreading catches on the bottle, the stops being behind them in the closed state. The screw cap is formed in two parts, the periphery represents the actual (carrying the stops) elastically deformable by hand force, inside a threaded part is arranged concentrically.
Because of the necessary strong thread design and the resulting undercuts, such bottles and their closures are manufactured using the blowing process.
The present invention has therefore set itself the task of creating a screw closure of the type described above, which can be manufactured in an injection molding process while increasing the functional reliability.
- a) the spout 1 has a two-start
external thread 2, - b) each thread of
thread 2 encompasses an angle of :: ii 180 ° , - c) the gears do not overlap or only overlap,
- d) sleepers 4 are arranged between the radially spreading
notches 3 and the spout 1. - e) the
screw cap 5 has a corresponding two-start thread 6 on the internal threadedpiece 7. - f) the internal threaded
piece 7 has opposite wedge-shaped incisions 8 as an anti-overturning device withabutting edges 9 in the screwed-on state on the sleepers 4.
The separate internal threaded part is understood to mean a preferably cylindrical part with an internal thread. On this the outer cap shell is formed on the head side in such a way that it can be pressed together by hand to release the stops located behind the catches.
The combination of the above-mentioned features makes it possible to produce a body which can be manufactured without undercuts and thus by injection molding.
The design as a two-start thread, each with a wrap angle of s180 °, creates two half-threads on the spout, the upper lower edge of the half-thread running out over the upper edge of the respective lower half-thread. Such a thread can be produced without an undercut, but is limited to a relatively shallow pitch and is therefore not secure against overturning.
According to the invention, the over-tightening device is therefore separated from the screwing function and is designed as a pair of abutting edges and thresholds. The thread starts and their pitches are designed so that the abutting edges hit the sleepers when the closure is fully screwed in, with the cap also normally resting on the vessel envelope.
A thread depth of approx. 0.5 mm has proven itself for the thread, as this simultaneously combines sufficient stability and function with the required demoldability.
For the present injection molding process, polypropylene has proven itself well because of its material properties. The closures according to the invention produced therefrom engage precisely, snap in childproof even after frequent use, and the spring constant and thus the manual force required for opening remain constant. A wear and tear, particularly abrasion on the material edges, which could impair the functional safety could not be observed.
If the abutting edges created by the wedge-shaped incisions are too narrow and therefore sharp-edged to save material, it is proposed to provide the abutting edges with plates to protect the sleepers.
The thread on the spout is advantageously located on a ring arranged on the spout. On the one hand, the thread area can be enlarged, on the other hand, this ring can also serve as a stop for a deferred and z. B. secured by a bouncing spray nozzle or the like.
A thickness of approx. 2 mm has proven itself as the shape geometry for sleepers and notches and a width of at least approx. 1 mm for the sleepers, whereby the dimensions can be easily adapted to the respective material conditions.
A smaller design can also lead to malfunctions in functional safety when using the relatively hard and resistant polypropylene.
Preferably, the closure is made of the same material with the upper part of the vessel, the upper part of the vessel being produced by injection molding with its lower part, for. B. is connected by bouncing and welding or gluing.
