Description

The invention relates to a payload projectile according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

In a known type of payload projectile of the same type, the seat for the disk with the same diameter merges into the space for the detonator, while the rear surface of the lifting ring screw is formed flat. For safety reasons, there is no detonator in the space provided for it during storage and transportation of the payload floor. To ignite the payload projectile on site, the lifting ring screw is first unscrewed, the igniter inserted and then the lifting ring screw screwed in again. In the ignited state, the disc between the igniter and the discharge charge serves to protect the igniter: its central bore forms an ignition channel on the one hand to initiate the discharge charge and on the other hand protects the igniter during the build-up of pressure, so that the pressure that builds up is largely available for the discharge process.

While the fuse in a passage of the lifting ring screw already responds at a temperature of approximately 95 ° C, the ignition temperature of the discharge charge is in the region of 130 ° C. In spite of this, in the event of fire or strong sunlight, the fuse was actuated in time, despite the fact that the fuse had been actuated in time: the washer had come to rest against the flat rear surface of the lifting ring screw, and the passage cross-section of the ignition channel was not sufficient to prevent damaging internal pressure.

The invention has for its object to provide a generic payload projectile in which an ejection of the submunition in the unlit payload projectile is avoided with certainty.

This object is achieved according to the teaching of claim 1 with the inventive features specified in the characterizing part.

The invention is explained below with reference to a preferred embodiment shown in the drawing.

Es zeigen, jeweils in einem längsaxialen Schnitt,They show, each in a longitudinal axial section,

  • Fig. 1 ein Nutzlastgeschoß mit der Erfindung undFig. 1 is a payload floor with the invention and
  • Fig. 2 einen zum Verdeutlichen von Einzelheiten vergrößert dargestellten Vorderteil des Gegenstands nach Fig. 1.FIG. 2 shows a front part of the object according to FIG. 1 shown enlarged to clarify details.

If the internal pressure building up in the pressure chamber 54 after the initiation of an ejection charge 18 exceeds a predetermined value, then the force causing an intended shear effect is transmitted directly to the part 48 for ejecting the submunition 50 via the ejection disk 52 and the column formed by the submunition 50.

Fig. 2 shows in the pressure chamber 54, the receptacle 14 with a sleeve 16 for the ejection charge 18, a seat 20 for the disc 22 with its central bore (ignition channel) 24, a space 26 for a detonator 27 shown in dashed lines and a bore with an internal thread 28 for a lifting ring screw 30. The latter has a body with an external thread 32 and an unspecified surface for fixing a seal 33. In the rear surface 34 of the lifting ring screw 30 there is a passage 36 for the fuse 38. The space 26 for the igniter 27 has a larger clear diameter than the seat 20 for the disk 22. If the discharge charge 18 is initiated unintentionally in the absence of the igniter 27, A pressure building up in the sleeve 16 can move the disk 22, overcoming a predetermined mechanical resistance, from its seat 20 in the direction of the longitudinal axis A of the bullet against the rear surface 34 of the lifting ring screw 30. (See dash-dot representation of disc 22). Protrusions 40 on the rear surface 34 ensure that the hot gases flow not only through the ignition channel 24, but also around the disk 22, as indicated by flow arrows 56 and 58, and through one of the fuse 38 (as not shown) released passage 35 can emerge without an internal pressure leading to the ejection of the submunition 50 being able to build up in the pressure chamber 54. With the invention, the security against unintentional ejection of the submunition in a payload projectile can not only be ensured in a very simple manner, but also no additional manipulation is required when the payload projectile is fired, which - especially under operating conditions - not only resulted in a loss of time but also could also be forgotten.
