Definitions
- the invention relates to a golf shoe sole with the features according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a golf shoe sole of the type specified above is known (cf. Comp. catalog "Shoes" sales program I April 1980).
- This known golf shoe sole has a continuously flat, i.e. heel-free barrel side and carries inserts that serve for the detachable fastening of gripping elements. Gripping elements and thus inserts for fastening them are provided both on the front sole and in the heel area.
- the inserts are arranged in two groups near the edge of the sole in such a way that they stand along a line roughly reflecting the contour of the respectively assigned edge of the sole.
- a golf shoe sole of the same type is already known (DE-OS 31 20 349), in which the arrangement of the inserts for the gripping elements on the two soles of a pair of golf shoes is different, namely such that the sole edge of each sole is seen in the direction of impact the front one is assigned a larger number of inserts for gripping elements.
- inserts for the gripping elements For right-handers, for example, these are the outer edge of the left sole and the inner edge of the right sole.
- These two sole edges should have a particularly strong grip on the swing, which is achieved by the aforementioned larger number of gripping elements and thereby that the entire sole edge from the tip to the heel area is continuously equipped with gripping elements.
- this arrangement of the gripping elements means that walking with this known golf shoe sole is uncomfortable.
- appropriately adapted golf shoes must be kept in stock for right-handed and left-handed users.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of providing a golf shoe sole which allows a better coordination of the grip by the gripping elements to the rolling process of the sole to the side which takes place during the swing.
- the invention is based on the finding that the concentration of stress by the sole, ie the so-called “pressure zone”, is concentrated approximately in the outer ball area in the front golf shoe in the direction of impact and approximately in the toe region in the rear golf shoe in the direction of impact. For this reason, at least in the two outer ball areas of the golf shoe sole, directly next to the group of inserts arranged there, but offset to the center of the sole, at least one further insert or another group of inserts is arranged. This further insert or the further group of inserts thus brings about a concentration of the grip on the ground precisely in the important pressure zone, in that the gripping element arrangement is extended there flat to the middle of the sole. More advantageous inserts or further groups of inserts are also provided in the two toe areas down to the inner ball in order to be able to fasten corresponding gripping elements there.
- the golfer Since the soles according to the invention are mirror images of one another and the gripping elements are detachably fastened in the inserts, the golfer has the possibility, depending on the right-handed or left-handed use, of providing a different arrangement of gripping elements that suits him individually on both soles of a pair of golf shoes. Those additional inserts or further groups of inserts that are not required depending on the right or left handedness can be closed with blind screws. In this way, an adaptation to the individual circumstances of the individual golfer is possible despite the identical design of all golf shoe soles, for which separate protection is claimed.
- the pair of golf shoe soles shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is equipped for a right-hander *.
- Each of the soles 1 and 2 shown forms the actual outsole or wear sole, which on the lower surface is made of a resilient plastic material, e.g. foamed polyurethane, existing midsole is attached.
- the outsoles 1 and 2 shown each consist of a plate made of relatively hard plastic, e.g. hard set, but flexible polyamide, and have a continuous tread area from the top to the heel, i.e. they have no paragraph. In the heel area, four threaded inserts for fastening gripping elements are embedded directly into the plastic plate on two transverse bridges 3 and 4, which are achieved by thickening the material.
- the joint area 7, 8 of the two outsoles 1, 2 is reinforced by material thickenings provided on the edge, and the front soles 9, 10 are stiffened throughout by an increased material thickness and only have transverse grooves 11 to 13, through which local weakening and thereby bending zones are formed are. While the front grooves 11, 12 are essentially parallel to each other, the rearmost groove 13 diverges outward so that an approximately sector-shaped sole area is created at the rear end of the front sole. One of the pressure zones described at the outset is located in the vicinity of the outer edge of the sole.
- An imaginary line 16 runs near the outer edge 15 of the sole, ie at a distance of 1.3 cm therefrom, on which in the centers of thread inserts 17 for fastening gripping elements lie at equal distances from one another.
- the line 16 follows, as can be seen from FIG. 1, approximately the outer contour of the outsole 1, ie it lies approximately parallel or at a constant distance from the outer sole edge 15.
- an imaginary line also runs 19, on which the centers of further thread inserts 20 for fastening gripping elements are arranged at equal intervals.
- the groups of four inserts 17 and 20 assigned to the outer edge 15 and the inner edge 18 form first groups of inserts which are already known from the prior art golf shoe soles.
- a further line 21 or 22 is intended, on each of which a further group of two threaded inserts 24, 25 or 26, 27 lies with their centers.
- the arrangement of this further group of inserts 24, 25 and 26, 27 is such that the rear insert 25 of the further group assigned to the outer edge lies behind the groove 13, while the front insert 24 belonging to this group is located in front of it.
- the two inserts 26 and 27 of the further group of inserts assigned to the inner edge 18 of the sole lie in the sole area which extends from the inner ball area to the tip of the sole; the rear insert 27 is located on the inner bale itself.
- the inserts 24, 25 and 26, 27 of the other groups are "on a gap" with the inserts of the groups near the edge, so that the pressure zones mentioned can be covered “areal” by gripping elements in the corresponding area. Due to the aforementioned determination of the outsoles 1 and 2 for a right-handed golfer, the inserts 24, 25 of the outsole 1 and the inserts 26, 27 of the outsole 2 are not to be equipped with gripping elements when using the pair of golf shoes. Instead of gripping elements, blind screws are screwed in here, as is indicated in the drawings.
- the equipping of the soles 1, 2 with gripping elements differs in the state of use, namely in such a way that a larger number of gripping elements, namely six, is provided on the inner edge 18 of the outsole 1 than on the outer edge 15 thereof in the outsole 2; there six gripping elements are arranged near the outer edge of the sole, while the smaller number, namely only four gripping elements, sits on the inner edge of the sole.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a golf shoe sole with the features according to the preamble of claim 1.
A golf shoe sole of the type specified above is known (cf. adidas catalog "Shoes" sales program I April 1980). This known golf shoe sole has a continuously flat, i.e. heel-free barrel side and carries inserts that serve for the detachable fastening of gripping elements. Gripping elements and thus inserts for fastening them are provided both on the front sole and in the heel area. On the front sole, the inserts are arranged in two groups near the edge of the sole in such a way that they stand along a line roughly reflecting the contour of the respectively assigned edge of the sole.
A golf shoe sole of the same type is already known (DE-OS 31 20 349), in which the arrangement of the inserts for the gripping elements on the two soles of a pair of golf shoes is different, namely such that the sole edge of each sole is seen in the direction of impact the front one is assigned a larger number of inserts for gripping elements. For right-handers, for example, these are the outer edge of the left sole and the inner edge of the right sole. These two sole edges should have a particularly strong grip on the swing, which is achieved by the aforementioned larger number of gripping elements and thereby that the entire sole edge from the tip to the heel area is continuously equipped with gripping elements. However, this arrangement of the gripping elements means that walking with this known golf shoe sole is uncomfortable. In addition, appropriately adapted golf shoes must be kept in stock for right-handed and left-handed users.
Common to the known golf shoe soles described above is that the adaptation of the grip of the golf shoe sole to the side in need of improvement during the rolling process caused by the swing is in need of improvement.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a golf shoe sole which allows a better coordination of the grip by the gripping elements to the rolling process of the sole to the side which takes place during the swing.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features according to the characterizing part of claim 1.
The invention is based on the finding that the concentration of stress by the sole, ie the so-called “pressure zone”, is concentrated approximately in the outer ball area in the front golf shoe in the direction of impact and approximately in the toe region in the rear golf shoe in the direction of impact.
Since the soles according to the invention are mirror images of one another and the gripping elements are detachably fastened in the inserts, the golfer has the possibility, depending on the right-handed or left-handed use, of providing a different arrangement of gripping elements that suits him individually on both soles of a pair of golf shoes. Those additional inserts or further groups of inserts that are not required depending on the right or left handedness can be closed with blind screws. In this way, an adaptation to the individual circumstances of the individual golfer is possible despite the identical design of all golf shoe soles, for which separate protection is claimed.
Further advantageous embodiments result from the subclaims.
- Fig. 1 eine Untenansicht einer rechten Golfschuhsohle eines Paares;
- Fig. 1 is a bottom view of a right golf shoe sole of a pair;
- Fig. 2 is a bottom view of a left golf shoe sole of the same pair, and
- Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section along the line III-III in Fig. 2, in which, for reasons of clarity, the elevations present on the front sole for fastening gripping elements, insofar as they are not cut, are omitted.
The pair of golf shoe soles shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 is equipped for a right-hander *. Each of the soles 1 and 2 shown forms the actual outsole or wear sole, which on the lower surface is made of a resilient plastic material, e.g. foamed polyurethane, existing midsole is attached. The outsoles 1 and 2 shown each consist of a plate made of relatively hard plastic, e.g. hard set, but flexible polyamide, and have a continuous tread area from the top to the heel, i.e. they have no paragraph. In the heel area, four threaded inserts for fastening gripping elements are embedded directly into the plastic plate on two
Since the two outsoles 1 and 2 are mirror images of one another with regard to the arrangement of inserts for fastening the gripping elements on the front sole, the description of the right outsole 1 suffices below:
*mit GreifelementenAn
* with gripping elements
As can be seen from the drawing, the
