Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a member for steel radiators, which is formed from two adjacent steel sheets, each of which has a hub in the area of each end face, at least two parallel channels between the hubs, one welded to the adjacent longitudinal bead of the other steel sheet between two channels Longitudinal bead and on the edge of a circumferential web welded to the adjacent web of the other steel sheet.
Members of the aforementioned type are known, for. B. of steel radiators according to DIN 4722. The known links consist of uniformly shaped, mirror-symmetrical steel sheets. The inner surface of the web lies in the same plane with the inner surfaces of the longitudinal beads. The adjacent, circumferential webs of the steel sheets are welded to one another, as are the adjacent longitudinal beads. A steel radiator is created by welding together a selectable number of links in the area of the hubs.
To reduce the manufacturing and operating costs, it is necessary, among other things, that radiators are optimally designed as heat-transferring elements. A radiator transfers the heat from its outer surface and its indirect heating surfaces by assembly to the surrounding air and by radiation to the surrounding room surfaces. The convective Heat is released from the outer surfaces through free or natural buoyancy.
DE-A-1 944 7O7).Steel radiators according to DIN 4722 have the disadvantage that only the outer surface of the individual link is the surface that transfers the heat. There has been no shortage of attempts to at least partially remedy this. It is known to provide each link with additional lateral cross-pieces to increase the heat-emitting outer surface and with window openings between two links to increase the air circulation (cf. DE-U-7 326 657); to form ribs on the link or on a web integrally formed on the link (cf. DE-U-7 538 771); in addition to increasing the air circulation, openings in the ribs (cf. DE-U-7 435 443) or guide ribs (cf. DE-U-7 119 844); extend the web of the links by edge flanges and bend them to the edge flanges of the adjacent link to form an air shaft (cf. DE-A-1 944 7O7).
In the known solutions, conventional radiators are converted into radiators with changed cross sections and external shapes. The parts to be welded to the link are cast and cannot be changed after the casting. The effort is small in relation to the increase in heat emission.
Hier will die Erfindung Abhilfe schaffen. DE-U-8 21O 732).The invention seeks to remedy this. The invention, as characterized in the claims, achieves the object of creating a device which can optionally be attached to a radiator, if the heat output is to be increased by changing its outer surface. Meandering slats of the type used in the invention are known per se, namely in the case of flat radiators (cf. DE-U-8 21O 732).
In the invention, the surface of the radiator, e.g. B. a steel radiator according to DIN 4722, by the formed of sheet steel or the like, compared to the two halves from which the member of the radiator is welded, supplemented with thinner plate thickness made lamella. The lamella significantly increases the surface of the radiator member on the view side to which the lamella is attached. Increases in the heat emission compared to a radiator element without lamella up to 50% were found in the test.
It is possible to weld the lamellas using the direct welding process only to the non-water-bearing longitudinal beads between the water-carrying channels. It is also possible to spot weld the fins to the water-bearing channels using the indirect welding process. However, it is preferred in the invention to spot weld the fins to the longitudinal beads and to keep them pressed against the channels under pretension. In this preferred further development, only spot welding machines are required, such as those used for. B. for the production of flat radiators with fins that are only applied to the beads, are known. Such spot welding machines are available and comparatively inexpensive. The radiator with fins does not suffer any loss in heat transfer: the fins lie after welding with the longitudinal beads under prestress on the channels, whereby an intimate contact is achieved. The heat transfer in the area of the channels is approximately the same for the lamella according to the invention as for a lamella which is welded in this area. The radiator according to this preferred embodiment is therefore produced more economically with the same thermal behavior.
DE-U-8 4O8 599).Steel radiators according to DIN 4722 have another disadvantage: The welded all-round webs form a projecting edge on the link, which increases the risk of accidents. In order to avoid protruding edges, it is known to lengthen the webs and to bend the lengthened web part into a plane perpendicular to the plane determined by the circumferential rest web (cf. DE-U-8 424 O9O and DE-A-1 944 7O7); furthermore, an outer side wall of one steel sheet formed by part of the outer groove is welded directly to the other steel sheet with its edge, forming a round weld seam (cf. DE-U-8 4O8 599).
The risk of accidents due to the projecting circumferential edge of the link is avoided in a further development of the invention in that the parts of the slat arranged on the longitudinal edge rest against the respective outer channel, are angled in the direction away from the channel and are angled again in the direction of the web so that its free edge on the side facing away from the lamella reaches behind the web. The installation behind the web can be done under pre-tension. In this embodiment, the long side of the lamella completely surrounds the Bridge of the limb. The sharp edge, which is twice the thickness of one limb, is replaced by the more than one centimeter side surface of the lamella. The risk of accidents, as is given by a pronounced edge, is avoided. In particular in the case of a system under prestress, a welding process is omitted and assembly is made easier.

The elements chosen as an embodiment for a steel radiator consist of two
In the exemplary embodiment, four
With the
The member for steel radiators also has
In the embodiments of the links for steel radiators shown in FIGS. 3 to 5, the
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the
The
