Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for filling containers with oxygen-enriched breathing air for use in medical oxygen therapy.
For the use in medical oxygen therapy, oxygen enrichment devices or oxygen concentrators are known which enrich the oxygen in the ambient air with relatively low power and release a breathing air which is highly enriched with oxygen. The capacity of these devices is designed to meet the needs of one or fewer patients during the treatment, which is normally also sufficient. The patient is connected to the device via hose lines during the treatment and must visit a doctor's office to use the multi-step process. So that the patient can continue the oxygen therapy independently at home, an oxygen container is therefore left to him for the oxygen supply, which contains at least the amount of enriched breathing air required for the intended application. The oxygen tank is filled from oxygen bottles, which are delivered filled by the relevant suppliers.
The invention is based on the object of specifying a device of the type mentioned at the outset which enables or simplifies the filling of the oxygen containers in the practices themselves and makes them more economical.
This object is achieved according to the invention in a device of the type mentioned in the introduction in that a compressor for compressing the oxygen-enriched breathing air is connected to an oxygen enrichment device and that the outlet of the compressor is connected to at least one oxygen tank to be filled. A particularly useful and advantageous embodiment of the device according to the invention results from the fact that a plurality of oxygen containers to be filled are connected to the outlet of the compressor via at least one valve and that actuating means are provided which interrupt the valve or the valves from the connection to the oxygen containers Switch blocking positions one after the other into consecutive oxygen tanks with filling positions connecting the outlet of the compressor. The device designed in this way makes it possible to automatically fill several oxygen containers with enriched breathing air one after the other. A further embodiment of the invention is that at the outlet of the Uer - dichters over several series-connected valves are connected to be filled several oxygen container and that are provided for the valves one after the other in the filling switching actuating means. In order to ensure that the oxygen containers are filled as completely as possible, the invention further provides that at least one pressure monitoring means is provided for monitoring the pressure in the respective oxygen container during the filling process and that a control arrangement connected to the pressure monitoring means and to the actuating means of the valves is provided for switching on of the valve or the valves in the next filling position for filling the next oxygen tank as soon as the pressure in the oxygen tank concerned reaches a predetermined value during the filling process. According to the invention, a display device connected to the control arrangement shows the filling state of the connected oxygen containers. In this way it is easy to determine how far the filling process has progressed is.
In continuation of the invention, the storage containers can be a storage medium, e.g. a zeolite. A space-saving and rationally manufactured arrangement results if the oxygen enrichment device and the compressor are designed according to the invention as a basic device and are accommodated in a common housing, which can also contain the changeover valves, their actuating means and the control arrangement. The storage containers can be freely movable gas bottles or they can be accommodated in a separate storage device, the housing of which can advantageously be identical to that of the basic device.
The device proposed according to the invention has the advantage that oxygen containers for the use of oxygen therapy in medical practices can be filled in a simple and economical manner with oxygen-enriched breathing air. The operation of the device is very economical because the enrichment device can be used during treatment breaks or overnight to fill the oxygen tank. In this way, an enrichment device with a relatively small capacity is sufficient to fill the oxygen container, which is normally designed for use in medical practices. The handling of the device according to the invention is simple and can also be carried out by technically not trained practical personnel.

An seiner Frontseite weist es eine Schalteranordnung 26 für die Überwachung und Einstellung des Verfahrensablaufs auf.1 in FIGS. 1 and 2 denotes an oxygen enrichment device which enriches the oxygen in the ambient air and releases a breathing air which is highly enriched with oxygen. This device contains in a housing 19 (see FIG. 2) two
With devices of this type, the oxygen content in the air can be enriched up to 90% and above.
Fig. 2). In order to be able to take off highly oxygen-enriched air directly from the collecting
In the position of the
Via the
For actuating the
In order to facilitate the handling of the device by the personnel, a
As indicated by dashed lines in FIG. 1, the
