Description

The invention relates to a kit for furniture elements, consisting of a frame resting on the floor with at least one elongated support profile, which is detachably connected at least in a horizontal corner region of the frame with at least one surface element and / or at least one further support profile, one along the support profile cable duct open to the outside of the profile is provided. In the case of office furniture in particular, there is often a desire to be able to use a limited number of uniform elements to produce a variety of furniture elements adapted to the particular purpose. In addition, especially in office furniture, there is also often the need to route cables from electrical work equipment in such a way that they do not hinder the work and do not interfere with the appearance.

In a known kit for furniture elements of the type mentioned (DE-A 3 019 546), the frame itself consists exclusively of vertical and horizontal support profiles to form in particular table and chair frames, to which surface elements such as table tops or chair seats can be attached. Cable ducts, which are produced as separate hollow profiles and run parallel to the elongate support profiles, are fastened to the support profiles by means of rivets. The cable channels open to the outside of the profile are closed off by a cover profile made of soft plastic material. In the corner area, the support profiles and cable ducts, which are open at the end, are each closed off with a duct angle connector. This construction is intended to connect additional support profiles as attachment bars for horizontal or vertical expansion of the frame instead of the corner connectors either in the horizontal or vertical direction.

The invention has for its object to provide a kit of the type mentioned, which allows the creation of different, guides for cables having furniture elements without the need to lay cable ducts as separate components.

This object is achieved in that For at least one support profile for the creation of furniture elements with surface elements adjoining one another at an angle, a corner connection element is formed with at least two fastening surfaces parallel to the longitudinal direction of the profile and at an angle to one another for two surface elements to be connected that the fastening surfaces are each a distance from the cutting line through the fastening surfaces have planes and that between these planes and the adjoining the edges of the fastening surfaces adjoining externally accessible profile surface a parallel to the profile longitudinal direction, usable as a cable channel cavity is formed. This ensures that regardless of the specific shape of the furniture element, cables can always be guided along the support profiles, the cables not having to be laid before the furniture elements are assembled, but can also be inserted into the cable ducts after the furniture elements have been created. If surface elements, for example wall parts of furniture elements, are fastened to the fastening surfaces, a channel runs parallel to the longitudinal direction of the profile and can be inserted between the latter and the profile outer surface lying between the fastening surfaces. If the furniture element is, for example, a table in which a rear wall and a side wall are connected by a corner connecting element according to the invention, the connecting cables of electrical devices arranged on the table surface or above the table surface can be connected through the cable duct formed between the rear wall, side wall and profile body be performed without the need to lay your own cable ducts.

The fastening surfaces do not need to be directed at an angle of 90 ° relative to one another, but can include an angle deviating from the right angle, wherein angles of 60 ° or 120 ° are particularly suitable for combining several furniture elements with one another.

The fastening surfaces are expediently formed on flanges projecting from the rest of the profile body, to which the surface elements can be fastened in a simple manner, for example by means of screws.

According to a further essential feature of the present invention, the profile body has at least one first channel with a circular inner cross section and at least one second channel with a polygonal inner cross section parallel to the longitudinal direction of the profile. The channels serve to receive the legs of carrying brackets for surface elements or devices, the legs of the legs corresponding in each case to the inside cross section of one of the channels. A carrying handle with only one leg, which has a circular outer cross section, can be used for pivotable mounting of, for example, a monitor, a telephone or the like on a desk. If the leg has a polygonal cross section in adaptation to the second channel, then the carrying handle cannot be rotated relative to the corner connecting elements. The channels can also be intended for receiving foot parts of a furniture element, provided that this does not rest on the wall parts alone.

In particular for the creation of tables, it is advantageous if at least one support profile is formed by a cross member, with which, for example, a surface element serving as a table top can be connected pivotably about an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cross member. It is sufficient if the surface element can only be pivoted by a limited angle about the longitudinal axis of the cross member. This enables, for example, the angle of inclination to change the table top to suit specific working conditions or the height of a person. Preferably, the traverse is formed by the central section of a C-shaped bracket with legs directed perpendicular to the central section, which can be inserted into support profiles formed by hollow profiles. These support profiles can be formed, for example, by the corner connecting elements mentioned above.

A support bar parallel to its longitudinal axis can be arranged on the crossmember, which is inclined relative to a plane perpendicular to the legs of the carrying handle and has elongated perforations for receiving engagement elements fastened to a surface element. This enables a structurally simple and easy-to-assemble connection between the surface element and the crossmember, regardless of the specific shape of the crossmember, while still maintaining a certain mobility between the surface element and the crossmember. The engaging elements can consist, for example, of an elastic material and have a shaft part and a head part which is larger in diameter than the width of the slot-like openings in the support strip. In this case, to establish the connection between the surface element and the cross member, it is sufficient to press the engagement elements into the elongated perforations.

According to another advantageous embodiment of the invention, the cross member has a circular outer cross section, clamps at least partially encompassing the cross member being fastened to the surface element which can be connected to the cross member. This execution form is also very easy to assemble and allows a larger swivel angle of the surface element around the longitudinal axis of the crossbar. In both embodiments, the cable duct on the crossmember can be formed by an upwardly open profile strip parallel to its longitudinal axis, which can be fastened to the crossmember or can be formed, for example, in one piece with the crossmember. If necessary, the support bar and the profile bar can also be made in one piece, for example in the form of a bent sheet which is fastened to the cross member formed by a simple hollow profile with a polygonal or round cross section.

Further features and advantages of the invention emerge from the subclaims and the following description, which explains the innovation on the basis of exemplary embodiments in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

The kit shown in Fig. 1 for creating a desk includes two side walls 10, a rear wall 12, two generally designated 14 corner connectors for connecting the side walls 10 to the rear wall 12, a C-shaped bracket 16 insertable into the corner connectors 14 and one table top 18 which can be placed on this. Feet 20 are arranged on the lower edge of the side walls 10, on which the assembled table rests, while the corner connecting elements 14 and the rear wall 12 are at a distance from the floor.

In the following, the corner connecting element 14 is first described in more detail with reference to FIG. 3. The profile body forming the corner connecting element 14 essentially consists of two axially parallel channels 22 and 24 surrounded by walls of the same thickness, the first of which has a substantially circular cross section and the second a rectangular cross section. Connected to the channel walls via webs 26 are two fastening flanges 28 and 30 which are oriented at right angles to one another and which are used to fasten a side wall 10 or the rear serve wall 12. For this purpose, the fastening flanges 28 and 30 each have bores 32 and 34, through which bolts 36 for fastening the side wall 10 and the rear wall 12 can pass. In order to be able to insert and rotate the screw bolts 36 through the bores 34, bores 38 are provided in the wall of the channel diametrically opposite the bores 34, which bores allow the insertion of a screwdriver or, for example, an Allen key.

The fastening flanges 28 and 30 end at a distance from the cutting edge 40 of the planes 46 and 48 running through their fastening surfaces 42 and 44. In this way, after the side wall 10 and the rear wall 12 have been screwed on, the fastening flanges 28 and 30 are formed between the inner surfaces of the side wall 10 and the rear wall 12 on the one hand and the outer wall of the profile body facing them, which is formed by two webs 26 and the partially cylindrical boundary wall 50 of the first channel 22 lying between them, on the other hand a cavity 52, which is used, for example, as a cable channel for on or Electrical devices arranged above the table surface 18 can be used. The insertion of the connection cable into the cable duct 52 is facilitated in that the side wall 10 and the rear wall 12 do not abut one another at the table corner, but rather leave a gap 54 free.

The channel 22 is used, for example, to receive a leg 56 of a carrying handle 58 with a circular cross section, the free support arm 60 of which carries, for example, a data display device 62, which in this way is held on the table pivotably about the channel axis 64 (FIG. 5).

The second channel 24 of the corner connecting element 14 preferably serves in each case to receive a short leg 66 of the C-shaped carrying handle 16, the central section 70 of which forms a cross member for supporting the table top 18. The height adjustment of the carrying handle 16 in the channels 24 of the corner connecting elements 14 can be carried out in various ways which are known per se, for example by means of plug pins which penetrate the bores in the corner connecting elements and on the short legs 66 of the carrying handle 16, or by suitable clamping elements.

A support bar 72 with a Z-shaped cross section for supporting the table top 18 is arranged on the cross member 70, e.g. welded on. The support bar 72 has an upper leg 74 sloping from the rear wall 12 toward the front of the table with openings 76, into which buttons 78 made of an elastic material such as rubber and arranged on the underside of the table top 18 can be hung. The table top 18 has notched flanges 80 on its side edges, which are intended to rest on bolts 68 which can be inserted into bores 82 of different heights in the side walls 10. In this way, the table top 18 can be changed in its inclination.

The lower part of the support bar 72 is designed as a channel-shaped horizontal cable duct 84, into which connection cables for electrical work tools arranged on or above the table top 18 can be inserted through a gap 86 between the rear wall 12 and the table top 18.

98 rechtwinklig abstehen. Der Mittelabschnitt 90 des Eckverbindungselementes 88 weist lediglich rechteckige Kanäle 90 auf, die zur Aufnahme von Steckelementen, beispielsweise Schenkeln von Tragebügeln mit reckteckigem Querschnitt dienen.FIG. 4 shows a simplified form of a corner connecting element 88 with a central section 90, at the ends of which fastening surfaces 92 and 94 having flanges 96 and 98 protrude at right angles. The middle section 90 of the corner connecting element 88 has only rectangular channels 90, which serve to receive plug-in elements, for example legs of carrying brackets with a rectangular cross section.

In Fig. 1 with 100 in the respective channels 22 insertable foot elements are designated, which are only indicated by dashed lines, and can be used when the furniture element is not, as in the case shown, resting on its side walls or on feet connected to it.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the C-shaped carrying handle 16 in turn comprises legs 66 which can be inserted into the channels 24 of the corner connecting elements 14. The cross member 102 forming the central section of the C-shaped bracket 16 is, however, formed by a simple tube having a circular cross section. A cable duct or a cable receiving channel 104, which is bent from a sheet metal, is fastened, for example welded, to the crossbar.

The table top 18 intended for connection to the cross member 102 has on its underside U-shaped clamps 106 which can be placed over the cross member so that the table top 18 remains pivotable about the longitudinal axis of the cross member 102. 7 shows the connection of a clamp 106 to the table top 18 on the one hand and the cross member 102 on the other hand.

The clamp 106 is fastened to the table top 18 by means of two screws 108 (only one of which is shown), which penetrate the clamp legs 110 parallel to their longitudinal direction and each engage in a radial threaded bore of a bolt 112 which engages in a bore 114 in the table top 18 is used. The screws 108 can be actuated by means of a tool from the free end of the clamp legs 110.

The clamp legs 110 each have a bore 116 (FIG. 6) through which, after the clamps have been placed on the crossmember 102, a locking pin 118 is inserted, which prevents the table top 18 from being lifted off the crossmember 102, its pivotability with respect to the longitudinal axis of the Truss 102, however, is not hindered. The locking pins 118 each have a locking tab 120 which prevents the pins 118 from accidentally falling out of the clamps 106.

The sheet metal forming the cable duct 104 can be provided in its section adjoining the cross member 102 with openings 122 indicated by dashed lines, which allow the clamps 106 to pass through when the table top 18 is pivoted about the longitudinal axis of the cross member. If necessary, however, the cable duct 104 can also consist of individual sections, each lying in the longitudinal direction of the cross member 102 between the clamps 106.
