Abstract

There is provided a height adjustable rubber pot bearing for supporting or lifting bridges. The pot bearing has an elastomer plate for transmitting and lifting or lowering loads wherein pressurized fluid is introduced between the bottom of the pot and the elastomer plate to displace the elastomer plate. A narrow slot is provided extending around the plate a small distance from and parallel with the inner side of the pot. The slot opens downwardly and has a depth of three-fourths of the plate thickness. A circular cylindrical insert is provided in the slot consisting of two parallel strips joined at their top edge with a space between them, the bottom edges of the strips being angled at right angles to form edge strips extending parallel with the bottom in opposing directions.

Description

The invention relates to a height-adjustable rubber pot bearing with an elastomer plate for transferring and lifting or lowering heavy loads, especially in bridge construction, in which a locally displacing the amount of pressure fluid from the elastomer can be pressed in between the bottom of the pot and the elastomer plate.

Rubber cup bearings of this type are known, for example from "Bautechnik" 7/1984, page 227, Figure 13. In a bearing of this type, the task now is to seal the peripheral edge region of the elastomer plate against the inner wall of the bearing cup in order to press out the pressed-in parts To prevent hydraulic fluid. Starting from the well-known rubber pot bearing, the stated object is achieved in that the elastomer plate has a narrow slot at a short distance from the inner wall of the pot and parallel to it, which is open at the bottom and is up to 3/4 of its deep, and in the slot a circular-cylindrical insert is used, which consists of two strips leaving a small space between each other and parallel and integrally connected at their upper edges, which are angled at their lower edges at right angles to edge strips pointing in opposite directions and parallel to the bottom of the pot.

This configuration creates an annular cavity open at the bottom and enclosed by the two strips, in which the pressure fluid supplied from below can enter and the insert can spread apart. This increases the pressure of the sealing lips on the inner wall of the pot and improves the sealing effect.

According to a special embodiment, the two strips can be provided with beads running perpendicular to the angled edge strips, whereby these beads can be directed inwards from both sides of the strips and touch one another, or they can also be directed outwards from the space between the strips .

The further formation of these beads can be such that they only extend to a certain distance from the interconnected upper edges of the two strips, so that an upper edge area remains free of beads, thereby reducing the rigidity of the upper edge area and this part can perform a joint function to spread the two strips. This hinge function is further improved if the part connecting the two strips at their upper edges has a tubular, circular cross section. In a modification of this, the design can also be such that the part connecting the two strips at their upper edges has a tubular, rectangular cross section.

According to the invention, the insert can either consist of sheet steel or of a plastic. It can furthermore be advantageous if the angled lower edge strips running at right angles to the strips have incisions at regular intervals. By means of these incisions it is avoided that when the originally flat insert is deformed into a circular cylindrical structure, upsetting or excessive expansion stresses occur. It can furthermore be expedient if the peripheral surface of the elastomer plate is designed before it is pressed into the pot in such a way that it tapers upwards like a cone. In a further modified embodiment, the circular-cylindrical insert can consist of a plurality of separate individual sections, wherein the individual sections furthermore have a plug-like extension on one side and can be used to overlap astride one another.

It is provided that the insert inserted from the individual sections can slightly change its circumferential length or its diameter when the elastomer plate is pressed into the bearing pot.

It follows from this that the circular-cylindrical insert consists of a polygonal line in straight individual elements, the individual elements being slightly bent in the region of the expansion around the vertical axis in the case of small diameters of the elastomer plate.

In Fig. 1, the elastomer plate is denoted by 1, the pot side wall by 2 and the pot bottom by 3. The bearing cap 4 is placed on the elastomer plate 1. 5 with the lid edge seal is referred to, which is inserted into the elastomer plate 1.

Through the supply line 6, the pressure fluid is injected so that it covers the space between the lower surface of the Elastomeric plate 1 and the surface (8) of the pot bottom 3 fulfilled, which results in the space 7. The pressure fluid also penetrates into the cavities 22 of the insert from below and tries to spread them apart, so that the pressure of the sealing lip against the inner wall 10 of the pot side wall 2 is increased.

The open cavities 22 of the insert can be seen from FIG.

The side view of Fig. 3 of the insert shows that the beads 26 only make up about 2/3 to 3/4 of the total height of the insert, so that a strip 27 remains free of beads. As can be seen from FIG. 4, the inwardly directed beads 26 touch one another without being connected to one another. The upper, free of beads area 27 practically represents a hinge, so that the sides acting as expansion legs parts of the material strips can spread apart. In the embodiment according to FIG. 7, this joint function is further improved in that this upper region is designed to be annular.

It can be seen from the horizontal section B-B according to FIGS. 5 and 6 that the cavities 22 between the beads 26, which are filled by the pressure means, can spread apart under the effect of the pressing pressure of the pressure fluid supplied. As can also be seen from FIGS. 5 and 6, the angled lower edge strips can be provided with the slots 28 in order to avoid compression and expansion stresses when the originally flat insert is formed into the circular cylindrical shape.

Another advantageous embodiment of the elastomer plate 1 is shown in FIG. 8. Due to the conical tapering outer surface of the elastomer plate before it is pressed into the pot, the contact pressure of the sealing lip can be increased.

Die Randstreifen 25 liegen am Topfboden 8 und an der Unterseite 8 der Elastomere-Platte 1 an.This process is further illustrated in FIG. 8a, which shows the elastomer plate 1 before being inserted into the bearing pot, of which the inner wall 10 of the pot is indicated by dash-dotted lines. In the slot 13, the insert E (see FIG. 1) consisting of strips 21 is inserted, through which the gap is kept open in a radial width, which is designated by 12. The bottom of the pot is indicated by dash-dotted lines at 8. The edge strips 25 rest on the pot bottom 8 and on the underside 8 of the elastomer plate 1.
