Additionally, the pressure responsive member is provided with an internal passage-way 19 which communicates with a further area 20 located to act in a sense to enhance the bias of spring 18 in the presence of pressure in the chamber 6.
- the whole assembly of the unloader valve is held together by a vented closure member 21 located in the cylinder head by an internal circlip 22.
- the closure member 21 being provided with a spigot 25 having an annular seal 23 upon which the valve member is sealingly slideable.
- the unloader valve tends to close during induction strokes but to partially open on compression strokes, such opening being caused by recovering reservoir pressure enhanced by compression chamber pressure acting on the valve closure area of 17.

Claims (2)
- Gaskompressor, umfassend einen sich hin- und herbewegenden Teil (2), der eine bewegliche Wand einer Kompressionskammer bildet für zyklisches Vergrößern und Verkleinern von deren Volumen, um Gas einzuführen und komprimiertes Gas an eine Abgabeöffnung (10) zu liefern, ein Entladungs- bzw. Druckregelventil, welches mit dem Kopf des Kompressors einheitlich ausgebildet ist und ein vorgespanntes Ventilglied (15) umfaßt, welches im Sinn eines Schließens eines Entlüftungsdurchganges (17) wirkt, der mit der genannten Kammer in Verbindung steht, wobei das Entladungs- bzw. Druckregelventil durch ein Druckmittelsignal betätigbar ist, welches auf eine auf Druck ansprechende Fläche (24) in einem Sinn wirkt, in welchem der Vorspannung entgegengewirkt wird, um dadurch die Kompressionskammer während Kompressionshüben des genannten Teiles zu entlüften, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Ventil eine weitere Fläche (20) hat, die dem Druck in der Kompressionskammer unterworfen ist, wodurch der Druck auf das Ventil im Sinn einer Unterstützung der Federvorspannung wirkt.
- Gaskompressor nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die weitere Fläche (20) wenigstens so groß wie die Fläche ist, die von dem Ventilglied in seiner geschlossenen Stellung dem Druck in der Kammer dargeboten wird.
