Definitions
- the invention relates to a multi-pole electrical connector, consisting of contact pins arranged in a two-dimensional field with a transverse and longitudinal axis and corresponding contact springs.
- plug connections In the case of multi-pole plug connections, the individual contact pins regularly have different geometrical dimensions in the plug direction. When plugging and unplugging plugs in or out of plug-in receptacle elements, these tolerances and an imprecise manual guiding of the movable plug-in connector part or parts during operation with a voltage supply can lead to undesired charging or discharging processes in circuit parts which are connected to the plug-in connection.
- plug connections are already known which have so-called leading contact pins.
- the leading contact pins are subjected to high mechanical stresses when inserting and removing, if only they, but not the other contact pins, slide in the pin receiving elements. This applies in particular if, as in assembly systems, for example, one of the two plug connection parts has a considerable mass.
- the invention is based on the object of designing a multi-pole plug connection in such a way that plugging operations are not uncommon regardless of the mass of the plug connection parts during operation with a voltage supply desired charging or discharging processes in connected circuit parts.
- multi-pole plug connections according to the invention do not need any special other devices for guiding, such as guide rails, or that these other guiding devices are relieved and only have a supporting function.
- the asymmetrical arrangement of the guide pins prevents errors when plugging the connector parts together.
- guide pins as contact pins makes it possible to reduce the number of contact pins in plug-in connections according to the invention.
- the part of an assembly system shown in FIG. 1 consists of a backplane 1 with a zen Trierelf 13 and from a circuit board 2 with a female connector 21st
- both a plurality of contact pins 11 and at least one guide pin 12 are fastened in the rear wall circuit board 1.
- the guide pin or pins 12 have larger geometrical dimensions than the contact pins 11 and, due to their material and / or their structure, are mechanically and / or electrically loadable to a greater extent than the contact pins 11.
- the arrangement of the pins 11 and 12 with respect to one another is described below described by FIG 3.
- the centering strip 13 is pushed over the contact pins 11 and the guide pins 12 so that it lies directly on the backplane 1 and the pins 11 and 12 protrude into the interior of the centering strip 13. For this purpose, it has corresponding openings for receiving the pins 11 and 12 and gives them additional hold in the assembled state. Details are described below with reference to FIG 2. As the name of the centering strip 13 indicates, it serves to center both parts of the multi-pole electrical connector according to the invention.
- the female connector 21 has receiving openings 211 for the contact pins 11. In the interior of the female connector 21 are shown in FIG 1, not shown, corresponding to the contact pins 11 contact springs, which are arranged in rows of contact springs A ⁇ , B ⁇ , C ⁇ , D ⁇ , E ⁇ .
- the female connector 21 also has at least one receiving opening 212 for the guide pin (s) 12.

- the guide pin 12 can also be designed as a contact pin. Of course, it then consists of electrically conductive material and it is assigned a corresponding contact spring.
- the screw fastening of guide pins 12 on the backplane 1 enables the exchange of (electrically non-conductive) guide pins into conductive contact pins, of contact pins into mere guide pins and the exchange of guide pins or contact pins 12 of different cross-sections, which will be discussed in connection with FIG. 3. In this way, the multi-pole electrical connector according to the invention can be designed in different ways.
- the guide or contact pins each have the same shape at their base, for example the shape of a hexagon in the region of the housing wall of the centering strip 13 resting on the backplane 1.
- the contact pins 11 and guide pins 12 are each arranged in a two-dimensional field with a transverse and longitudinal axis.
- the leading guide pins 12 or contact pins 11 can, as shown in FIG. 1, lie symmetrically to the central axis of a two-dimensional field; but they can also, as shown in FIGS. 3a, 3b and 3c, be arranged asymmetrically with respect to the transverse axis and / or with respect to the longitudinal axis.
- FIG. 3a shows two guide or contact pins arranged asymmetrically with respect to the transverse axis.
- 3b shows an arrangement of three guide or contact pins 12, two of which lie on the longitudinal axis, but are arranged asymmetrically with respect to the transverse axis, the third guide or.
- Contact pin 12 is arranged on the transverse axis.
- 3c shows an arrangement with two guide or contact pins 12, one of which lies on the transverse and longitudinal axes.
- the leading guide or contact pins 12 can have a cross section of the same shape, for example a circular cross section, like the contact pin te 11.
- the guide or contact pins 12 can also have continuously different cross-sections than the contact pins 11.
- the leading guide or contact pins 12 can have differently shaped cross sections, for example circular and rectangular cross sections. These arrangements are shown in Figures 3b and 3c. The asymmetrical arrangement of the guide or contact pins 12 and their different cross-sectional shapes rule out errors when the multi-pole electrical plug connection is plugged together.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a multi-pole electrical connector, consisting of contact pins arranged in a two-dimensional field with a transverse and longitudinal axis and corresponding contact springs.
In the case of multi-pole plug connections, the individual contact pins regularly have different geometrical dimensions in the plug direction. To solve such problems, plug connections are already known which have so-called leading contact pins. The leading contact pins are subjected to high mechanical stresses when inserting and removing, if only they, but not the other contact pins, slide in the pin receiving elements. This applies in particular if, as in assembly systems, for example, one of the two plug connection parts has a considerable mass.
Entladevorgängen in angeschlossenen Schaltungsteilen führen. The invention is based on the object of designing a multi-pole plug connection in such a way that plugging operations are not uncommon regardless of the mass of the plug connection parts during operation with a voltage supply desired charging or discharging processes in connected circuit parts.
This object is achieved in a device of the type mentioned in the opening paragraph according to the characterizing part of the first claim.
It has proven to be advantageous that multi-pole plug connections according to the invention, for example in assembly systems, do not need any special other devices for guiding, such as guide rails, or that these other guiding devices are relieved and only have a supporting function.
The asymmetrical arrangement of the guide pins prevents errors when plugging the connector parts together.
The formation of guide pins as contact pins makes it possible to reduce the number of contact pins in plug-in connections according to the invention.
- FIG 3 verschiedene Anordnungen von Kontakt- und Führungsstiften.
- 1 shows a part of an assembly system with a multi-pole electrical connector according to the invention,
- 2 shows a part of a multi-pole electrical plug connection with contact pins and a guide pin,
- 3 different arrangements of contact and guide pins.
The part of an assembly system shown in FIG. 1 consists of a backplane 1 with a zen Trierleiste 13 and from a circuit board 2 with a female connector 21st
As schematically shown in FIG. 1, both a plurality of
The centering strip 13 is pushed over the
The female connector 21 has receiving
The female connector 21 is fixedly connected to the printed circuit board 2, for example by means of female connector fastening
The contact springs, not shown in FIG. 1, arranged in the receiving
The tips of the
When the plug connection is plugged in or unplugged, the
The
Even bare guide pins that do not function as contact pins can be made of electrically conductive material, so that there is no need to replace a pin when the mechanical guide function is supplemented by the electrical contacting function. When using the same backplane 1 and centering strips 13, the guide or contact pins each have the same shape at their base, for example the shape of a hexagon in the region of the housing wall of the centering strip 13 resting on the backplane 1.
The leading
The leading guide or
