Description

The invention relates to a device for stacking corrugated cardboard sections onto at least two stacks arranged next to one another in a format stacker of a corrugated cardboard system according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

From US Pat. No. 3,550,493 it has become known to divide a corrugated cardboard web in a slitting and creasing machine into individual panels which are usually deflected in groups in a transport device in front of the cross cutter and fed to the cross cutter. Some of the benefits are fed to lower cross-cutting tools and another part to upper cross-cutting tools. The cross cutting tools are Assigned conveyor devices that convey the corrugated cardboard sections in a scaled form to a format deposit. The number of benefits corresponds to the number of scale flows on the conveyor to the format deposit. The format depositor forms individual stacks that are relatively close to each other in accordance with the number of uses. If, for example, three streams of shingles are conveyed to a first stacking platform, three stacks are formed side by side on this.

The stacks in the format tray reach a considerable height. Especially in the case of narrow formats there is a risk that they will slip or even tip over.

The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a device for stacking corrugated cardboard sections onto at least two stacks arranged side by side in a corrugated cardboard system, which stabilizes stacks arranged side by side, regardless of the type and structure of the slitting and creasing machine. The device should also be able to be installed in existing corrugated cardboard systems.

This object is achieved by the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.

In the device according to the invention, at least one application device is arranged above the transport device between the slitting and creasing machine and cross cutter and is mounted such that it can be moved transversely to the web direction. With the aid of the application device, adhesive strips, self-adhesive paper sections or the like can be applied to adjacent panels. The adhesive strips, self-adhesive paper sections or the like form connecting webs between the stacks, as a result of which the stacks are given mutual stability.

From DE-OS 32 13 895 it has become known to form connecting webs between adjacent sheets of paper, which are folded like a leporello into a stack in a branch, in that the cutting knife is provided with corresponding cutouts. Applying this process to corrugated cardboard plants would lead to great expense for the slitting and creasing machine. A subsequent conversion of the slitting and creasing machine in existing corrugated cardboard systems would increase the effort. In addition, production would have to be stopped during the renovation. Due to the perforated longitudinal cutting, the spacing of the bars and the position of the bars relative to a format cannot be changed.

The device according to the invention has the advantage that it can be easily and without great effort in existing corrugated cardboard systems Effort can be built in without there being an interruption in production. The adhesive strips only need to have a very small thickness and width in order to achieve the desired stability effect. The application device according to the invention also has the advantage that the position and frequency of application of the adhesive strips can be determined arbitrarily. For example, the adhesive strips can be placed on the end faces so that they can be separated more easily when the stacks are separated, for example by hand.

The gluing of the adhesive strips or the self-adhesive paper sections need only be very weak, since it is only intended to ensure that the corrugated cardboard sections which are connected to one another are stacked together. Then the pressure of the stack ensures that the paper sections are firmly connected to the stack.

Since the position of the separating cuts can also change when the format is changed, the application device can be moved transversely to the web running direction. An embodiment of the invention provides for this that a positioning device is provided for adjusting the application device in accordance with the position of the cutting tools in the slitting and creasing machine. The positioning can be done manually, for example, or automatically via synchronization with the positioning of the cutting tools.

The edge position of the corrugated cardboard web fluctuates. It is therefore necessary to either correct the edge position or - the usual way - to follow the slitting and creasing machine to the edge position. One embodiment of the invention provides that a web edge control system tracks the application device transversely to the conveying direction in synchronism with the slitting and creasing machine via the positioning device.

Before going into the details shown in the drawings, it should be assumed that each of the features described is of importance for the invention, either individually or in conjunction with features of the claims.

In Fig. 1, a longitudinal cutting and creasing machine 10 is shown schematically, to which a corrugated cardboard web 11 is fed. The corrugated cardboard web comes from a conventional corrugated cardboard machine. Details of the slitting and creasing machine 10 are not described since they are state of the art. The machine 10 or its tool units can be moved in the transverse direction relative to the edge position of the corrugated cardboard web 11 in order to be traced back to the edge position. A controller, not shown, is provided for this. The slitting and creasing machine 10 cuts the corrugated cardboard web 11 into individual uses. In the present case it is assumed that it divides the corrugated cardboard web 11 into six uses. The blanks are fed to a transport device 12, which contains an endless vacuum belt 13 for transporting the blanks to a cross cutter 14. The transport device 12 contains a deflection roller 15, which is followed by two deflection surfaces 16, 17. The deflection surfaces 16, 17 are arranged side by side. For example, the deflection surface 16 directs the three left-hand benefits to an upper unit 17 of the cross cutter 14, while the downward deflection surface 17 directs the three other right-hand benefits to a lower unit 18 of the cross cutter 14. The corrugated cardboard sections produced in the cross cutter 14 are also in a scaly form via a lower and an upper conveyor section, which are not shown here Format store not shown supplied. The format depositor has two stacking platforms arranged one behind the other, on which three stacks are formed in the example described. A stacking platform 19 is shown schematically in FIGS. 2 and 3. It shows the three stacks 20, 21 and 22. If no special measures are taken, there is a risk that the stacks 20 to 22 can tip over to the side. Therefore, 13 application devices 23 are arranged above the vacuum belt. With six uses, a total of five application devices are necessary, since five separating cuts are made in the slitting and creasing machine. The application devices 23 can be moved in the transverse direction with the aid of rails 24. The setting of the application devices 23, which can be adjusted independently of one another, is carried out using suitable positioning devices (not shown) which, when the cutting tools are changed, follow the application devices 23 accordingly, so that they are each arranged over a gap of adjacent uses. The setting of the application devices 23 can also be carried out by hand. The movability of the application devices 23 is also synchronized with that of the slitting and creasing machine 10 in order to track the edge position of the corrugated cardboard web 10. With the help of the application device 23 individual easily detachable adhesive strips or the like are placed over the gap between applied neighboring benefits. The distances between the bridges thus formed between the panels are set using a suitable control device. The distances can be determined depending on the number of pieces or length. In any case, connecting webs are formed between some adjacent corrugated cardboard sections, which are indicated at 25 in FIGS. 2 and 3. They lead to the stability of the stacks 20 to 22. On the other hand, however, they can be cut or removed very easily if the stacks 20 to 22 are sent for further processing. In the case of a quantity-dependent application, the connecting webs 25 can be placed near the outer edges of the stacks 20 to 22, where they can then be easily severed by hand when the stacks 20 to 22 are fed for further processing.
