Description

The invention relates to a diaphragm wall for the vertical sealing of liquid-bearing and / or gas-bearing layers, in particular for sealing contaminated layers of earth, wherein a slot is first introduced into the soil up to an impermeable horizontal layer, which is filled with a mass such as bentonite and a seal is sunk therein , which is composed of several sheets, which are connected to each other at the joints by a lock consisting of two interlocking profiles, one of which has a barbed tip.

Darartge diaphragm walls are used in everything for the sealing of landfills or in the sealing of liquid-holding containers or liquid-carrying lines or bends. As a rule, it is a prerequisite that there is a natural barrier layer below the area to be sealed laterally. Clay layers often occur as natural barrier layers. The diaphragm walls are then excavated to the side of the area to be sealed down to the clay layer underneath and at the same time filled with thixotropic mass. Bentonite is preferably used as the thixotropic mass. Bentonite itself forms a certain seal. To achieve a clear seal, however, an extremely thick bentonite layer is not required or the thin layer made of bentonite must be provided with an additional seal. For this purpose, it is known to lower sealing sheets into the bentonite layer. The waterproofing membranes have a width between 1 m and 2.5 m. Even if even larger sheets can be produced, the question arises of connecting the individual sealing sheets together to form a longer seal for a diaphragm wall. The common connection technology is a welding process. A sealing membrane created in this way is difficult to handle if it exceeds a certain length. Therefore, connections with a lock are provided at intervals of 1 to 3 m. Locks of this type are formed by profiles which can be pushed into one another. The profiles can be molded or welded on. The interlocking profiles form a kind of tongue and groove. The seal between the interlocking profiles is formed purely mechanically, i. H. By choosing a suitable socket, the interlocking profiles are so tight that hardly any liquid can penetrate between them.

Nevertheless, leakage can still occur in certain circumstances. The invention is therefore based on the object of improving the seal in the known lock.

A lock with several juxtaposed tips is known from EP-A-0 129 275. A labyrinth effect can be assigned to this castle.

According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the one profile of the lock has a central, two barbed tip and parallel and symmetrical to this each has a barbed tip and the other profile of the lock with two symmetrical, the central tip the first profile corresponding tip is provided and the two profiles interlock so that the seal is formed purely mechanically, the nested profiles so tight that hardly any liquid can penetrate between them.

The tips arranged next to one another are preferably of identical design. It is also advantageous to give the two corresponding profiles the same tips. Then there are two peaks arranged next to one another on the one profile, while the corresponding profile has a central tip and two half peaks arranged thereon.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the profile provided with the central tip has a channel extending in the longitudinal direction through the profile for pressing sealants.

An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.

This shows a profile with a central tip 10 and two half tips 11 arranged next to it. The tips 10 and 11 leave recesses 12 between them which show the cross section of the corresponding profile. The corresponding profile therefore has two tips with which it is pushed between the tips 10 and 11. All tips are the same in cross-section, with the difference that the tips 11 would only complement one another if they were put together. The profile is made by pressing or extrusion. In the manufacture of the tool for pressing or extruding, according to the invention, the tips with the barbs are made somewhat larger than the corresponding designs. This ensures that the profiles are pushed together.

The profile has a channel for pressing sealants. This is designated 13 and connected to the recesses 12 via openings shown in dashed lines.
