Abstract

The supporting and suspending frame, detachably assembled from a plurality of supporting frame elements, serves to suspend flat reproductions, in particular photographic reproductions, of paper, film or fabric smoothly in the frame by means of tensioning springs. Every supporting frame element has an at least partly circularly curved narrow side and a contiguous flat wide side at right angles thereto. The inside face of the wide side is provided with a supporting member that extends in the longitudinal direction of the wide side and is open in the transverse direction of the wide side. The tensioning springs, which are fastened to the edges of the reproduction by means of eyes, can be suspended directly in and displaced along the supporting member. As a result, it is possible to wrap the reproduction over the wide side and the narrow side toward the back side of the supporting frame element and there fasten it smoothly by means of the suspended tensioning springs, so that the reproduction is clamped or displayed in a "borderless" manner.

Aus der Europäischen Patentameldung Nr. 84 304 393.6 (Publikation Nr. 0 132 953) ist zudem eine Aufspannvorrichtung dieser Art bekannt gewor­den, bei welcher mehrere lösbar durch Klemmverbindungsele­mente miteinander zu einem Rahmen zusammengesetzte Rahmen­profilstücke innere Schienen aufweisen, in welchen Gleiter angeordnet sind, in welchen die an der Reproduktion be­festigte Spannfedern eingehängt werden können. Ein solcher an erster Stelle zu erwähnendes Profilteil ist ein in dem von der Schmalseite 1 abgewandten Endbereich der Breitseite 2 be­findlicher schienenartiger Vorsprung 5, der zum kreisbogen­ förmigen Endbereich 4 hin offen ist und der sich über die ganze Länge des Rahmenprofilstücks erstreckt. Wie darge­stellt, dient der schienenartige Vorsprung 5 zum Ein­hängen mehrerer Spannfedern 6 (nur eine in Fig. 1 sicht­bar), die mit ihren entgegengesetzten Enden in längs des betreffenden Randes der flächenhaften Reproduktion 7 ange­brachten Oesen 8 eingehängt sind. Zur Aufnahme der vorderen Längs-Klemmverbindungsele­mente 13 sowie der Schenkel der vorderen Eck-Klemmver­bindungslemente 15 ist die Innenfläche der Breitseite 2 mit zwei schienenartigen Vorsprüngen 18 und 19 versehen, von welchen der eine Vorsprung 18 einstückig mit dem zum Einhängen der Spannfedern vorgesehenen schienenartigen Vor­sprung 5, und der andere Vorsprung 19 einstückig mit dem ebenfalls zum Einhängen der Spannfedern vorgesehenen schienenartigen Vorsprung 9 ausgebildet ist. Zur Aufnahme der seitlichen Längs-Klemmverbindungselemente 14 und der Schenkel der seitlichen Eck-Klemmverbindungselemente 16 sind im Innern der halbkreisbogenförmigen Schmalseite 1 zwei weitere schienenartige Vorsprünge 20 vorgesehen. Eine solche Ausführungsform mit nur teilweise kreisbogenförmigen Schmalseiten kann wegen des kleineren Krümmungsradius an den Kanten besonders dann von Vorteil sein, wenn, wie bereits erwähnt, mehrere Aufspann­vorrichtungen der vorliegenden Art zur Herstellung eines Grossbildes aneinandergefügt werden.Embodiments of frame profile pieces have previously been described in which the narrow side of the profile piece is semicircular.
