Abstract

Device for electrical heating assemblies by infrared radiation, in particular construction dryers for hardening concrete and the like. The object of the present invention is to form a light infrared radiator which can be adjusted by simple manipulation in different rotation positions and which, despite its low weight, has a stable, uneven construction and is resistant to the very harsh treatment of construction sites. These characteristics have been brought together by the fact that the housing (11) comprises a self-supporting plate box, in the form of a trough, with bulges (13) in the form of edges (13) extending in the longitudinal direction of the box at the bottom thereof, by the fact that the box is provided at both ends with a fixed regulating disc (14) extending essentially perpendicularly to an essential part of the bottom of the box and covering the latter, and by the fact that the regulating discs (14) have a common center of rotation (19) around which the housing (11) can rotate relative to the frame gables (15, 16) arranged outside the ends of the housing and be locked to said gables of the chassis in different positions of rotation.

Description

A DEVICE IN INFRARED RADIANT HEATING AGGREGATES
The present invention relates to a device in infrared radiating electrical heating aggregates, particularly building dryers for hardening of concrete and the like, and of the kind in which a number of infrared tubes with directional radiation through reflectors are arranged in a housing.
Background of the invention
Infrared heaters for accelerated concrete hardening are previously known. These heaters are based on petroleum gas operation and are a part of a petroleum gas central. Every individual infrared heater consists of a relatively large, unwieldy and heavy unit (it weighs ca : 20 kilos) and is connected to a petroleum gas central with a petroleum gas container for several infra-red heaters. The petroleum gas central is very bulky with hose box attached thereto and has a weight of nearly 300 kilos. Infrared heaters lack devices for directing the infra-red radiation in different rotational position.
It has been shown that large savings can be done by reducing the time of hardening, which has meant that moulding of concrete could also perfomed in the winter at some degrees below zero, and furthermore the time of building is reduced with several weeks and the work and material costs are also reduced .
An important working moment in connection with the heat treatment such as hardening or drying is moving of the heating aggregates to different working areas, which is rendered difficult if the heating aggregate is heavy and must be mounted several times with pipe couplings to the moulds in order to obtain the correct radiation angle and distance.
The object and most important features of t e invention The object of the present invention is to provide an infrared radiant electrical heating aggregate which weighs less than half of known aggregates and which does not require any heavy and unwieldy petroleum gas central or gas bottles at all, and which with simple manipulations can be placed in different rotational positions. The heat aggregate should in spite of its low weight have a stable construction, be rugged and withstand very rough handling which occurs on the building work places. These problems have been solved by the fact that the housing comprises a self-supporting, trough-shaped plate box, with ridge-shaped bosses extending in the longitudinal direction of the box in the bottom thereof, that the box at both ends is provided with a substantially perpendicularly to and over an essential part of the box bottom extending fixed regulating disc, and that the regulating discs are provided with a common centre of rotation about which the housing is rotatable with respect to frame gables arranged outside the ends of the housing and lockable to said frame gables in different rotational positions.
Description of the drawings
Fig. 1 shows a electrical heating aggregate according to the invention in a side view, fig 2 shows the heating aggregate according to fig. 1 in a view from above, fig. 3 is an end view of the aggregate according to fig. 1 and
2 and fig 4 is a section according to the line IV-IV in fig. 1.
Description of the embodiments
The heating aggregate according to the invention comprises a housing 11 in the form of a self-supporting, trough-shaped late box. In order to obtain enough rigidity in the longitudinal direction of the aggregate, there are arranged ridge-shaped bosses 13 extending in the longitudinal direction of the plate 12 in the bottom thereof. On the underside of the bottom of the box there is arranged a regulating disc 14 which extends across the entire bottom width, and which regulating discs contributes to the rigidity of the housing.
The housing is supported by a frame gable 15 and 16 rotatably mounted outside each end and which in the shown embodiment is made of a triangular frame 17 of a tube material, to which frame a breast plate 18 is fixed, in which a hole is provided for a screww serving as an axle of rotation 19 and which is passed through a corresponding hole in the respective regulating disc 15. The screw 19 serving as an axle of rotation is fixed to a handle 20, which with a tap 21 can be passed into recesses 22, placed on the regulating disc 14 along a part- circular arc, and by means of which tap the housing can be adjusted in different angular position.
At some distance from each end of the housing there is arranged a partition wall 23 in which a hole is made for supporting three intrared pipes 24 according to the embodiment shown. The plate box 11 is terminated at the ends by an plate 25 each, which together with the partition wall 23 makes a liquid-proof space 26 and 27 arranged for electrical connection means.
The upper free longitudinal end edges of the trough-shaped plate box are formed as guides 28, in which a reflector 29 and a screen grid 30 are insertable from the open ends.
On the under side of the box an intake member for connection of the infrared pipes to the electricity network is arranged.
