Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a mounting table, with a work surface for mounting of printed originals on a carrier.
  • This carrier is used as a mount for photographic reproduction in offset printing.
  • the pre-printed mounts hitherto used in this Art cost prin ⁇ ters a considerable amount of money in preparation, and printers must always have a generous stock of such mounts.
  • the mounts must be stored at ro ⁇ n temperature and at a predete__mindes level of humidity in the storage roctn. If these requirements are not met, errors will easily occur in the printing run operation, in parti ⁇ cular in multicolour printing.
  • Prior Art mounts for mounting printed originals are fixed to a translucent panel on a light table.
  • the entire panel of these light tables is powerfully illuminated in work on the light table, even if the printed original is only to be set in a portion of the mount.
  • This powerful illumination light is extremely tiring for the printing staff who often spend an entire day working at the mounting table. .
  • the object of the present invention is to obviate these and other drawbacks inherent in mounting tables, this object being attained in that the present invention is given one or more of the characteristic features as disclosed in the appended Claims.
