Description
The present invention relates to a process for producing a toroidal winding of small dimensions and optimal geometry. The object of the present invention is precisely to eliminate this drawback by proposing a method which makes it possible to obtain turns wholly located strictly in radial planes.
In order for the difficulty solved by the invention to be better appreciated, it should be emphasized that the dimensions of the torus on which the winding is to be carried out are very small: the inside diameter is of the order of a millimeter and the outside diameter of the order of a few millimeters. It is precisely because of these small dimensions that the winding carried out by hand necessarily has imperfections.
- - make a second insulating cylinder having an outside diameter equal to the inside diameter of the first hollow cylinder on which we want to make the winding,
- - produce a third insulating cylinder having an inside diameter equal to the outside diameter of the first hollow cylinder,
- - machining on the outer surface of the second and third cylinders N grooves parallel to the generatrices of these cylinders and regularly spaced,
- - make N pins as a conducting wire, each pin being formed by two parallel strands and an elbow connecting them. this conducting wire having a sufficiently reliable diameter so that it can be introduced into the grooves made in the cylinders with an outside diameter very close to the width of a groove to avoid defects of the
12c and 12d,type - - arrange the first and second insulating cylinders one above the other and along the same axis, and orient them so that the N grooves of one of the cylinders are aligned with the N notches of the other and with the common axis of the cylinders to form N angularly equidistant radial planes,
- - introduce the N pins into the N grooves thus arranged, one strand of a pin being disposed in a groove of the second cylinder and the other strand of the same pin in the groove of the third cylinder located in the same radial plane,
- - introduce the second insulating cylinder with its strands inside the first hollow cylinder and pass the third cylinder with its strands around the first hollow cylinder,
- - electrically connect the ends of the strands leaving each groove of the second cylinder except one, with the end of the strand leaving the groove of the third cylinder situated in the adjacent radial plane, the two strands which remain unconnected forming two connections for the winding.

- FIG. 2 represents an axial section of two inner and outer cylinders used to set up conductive pins,
- FIG. 3 is an end view of the two cylinders,
- FIG. 4 shows, in axial section, the connected assembly,

In Figures 2 and 3, we see an
Furthermore, N pins are made of
Then the
A continuous winding is thus obtained, the ends of which are accessible by the two
Given the shape of the grooves which guide the conductor rigorously along the generatrices of the inner and outer cylinders, it is clear that the turns of such a winding are located exactly in radial planes.
On y voit notamment le fil de saturation 40 disposé au centre du cylindre intérieur 22.FIG. 7 illustrates the final arrangement obtained at the end of the process. We see in particular the
For purely explanatory purposes, it may be indicated that the Applicant has produced a device of this type under the following conditions. The support for the ferromagnetic thin layer is a quartz cylinder with an outside diameter of 2 mm and an inside diameter of 1 mm. The thin layer is deposited on the periphery of this cylinder by a vacuum deposition operation. These two auxiliary tubes, interior and exterior, are made of quartz or ceramic. The inner tube is a hollow cylinder with an outside diameter of 1 mm, pierced with a channel of 0.3 mm in diameter, this channel being crossed by a copper wire which constitutes a saturation wire. This allows, on the one hand. to polarize the magnetization of the layer by saturating it and, on the other hand, to reinforce the anisotropy of the thin layer.
The grooves have a rectangular section of width 0.08 mm, a value which is very close to that of the diameter of the wire forming the winding (enamel diameter included 0.075). This dimension limits the number of turns of the winding to 20, the pitch being 18 °, this in order to preserve a sufficient quantity of material between each groove of the inner cylinder (see FIG. 7).
Un usinage au centième de millimètre minimise l'erreur angulaire entre la normale aux spires du circuit et la tangente à l'axe facile de la couche mince (axe circonférentiel) à une valeur de l'ordre de 3,10-4 radian soit 0,02° .Machining a hundredth of a millimeter minimizes the angular error between the normal to the turns of the circuit and the tangent to the easy axis of the thin layer (circumferential axis) at a value of about 3,10- 4 radian either 0 , 02 °.
A cette fréquence, l'épaisseur de peau du cuivre est de 54 pm.The process which has just been described, in addition to the advantages which have just been outlined, has the advantage of allowing optimization of the number of turns and their diameter as will be explained now. The excitation frequency of the magnetometer is of the order of 1.5 MHz. The choice of this value results from a study to minimize the noise of the magnetometer. At this frequency, the skin thickness of the copper is 54 µm.
- soit KC'
- soit encore K' h (a)
- où h(a) est la fonction a(a - 1 + e-a) - et K' une constante.
- either KC '
- let K 'h (a) still be
- where h (a) is the function a (a - 1 + e -a ) - and K 'a constant.
Cette fonction décroît très vite quand a augmente à partir de 0 (décroissance en a- au voisinage de 0).Figure 8 shows the variations of the function h (a) as a function of a. This function decreases very quickly when a increases from 0 (decrease in a- near 0).
Le nombre de spires du circuit de prélèvement est alors égal à 10.When a is greater than 1 and increases. h (a) tends to 1 and decreases very slowly. Or. Taking into account the diameter of the interior cylinder. a cannot reasonably exceed the value 1.5, i.e. d OPT = 0.165. The number of turns of the sampling circuit is then equal to 10.
En fait, toute forme convient (fond cylindrique, en toit, etc...).Naturally, it is only for explanatory purposes that the grooves have been presented as formed by rectangular grooves. In fact, any shape is suitable (cylindrical bottom, roof, etc.).
