Abstract
Description
The invention is directed to a decorative element consisting of a core and a wire made of metal wound spirally around the core.
A 4 238 935).Such a decorative element is known for example from US-A 3 783 081, which is used to produce a metal wire with a metal core from e.g. disclosed a precious metal. In order to add other decorative elements, e.g. in order to be able to hang the neck, the hand or the ankles, it is also known to pull fine chains of metal, in particular of precious metal, for this purpose. Such chain links ensure high elasticity. It is also known to use very soft cords made of leather or other material, onto which beads made from a wide variety of materials, small pieces of pipe or the like can be strung (US Pat. No. 4,238,935).
The object of the invention is to provide a decorative element with a special aesthetic appearance, which can replace chains or wire loops.
In the case of a decorative element of the type mentioned at the outset, this object is achieved according to the invention in that the core consists of plastic, in particular of a highly wear-resistant and / or transparent plastic. This structure enables a very different and very diverse design of the jewelry element. It is in fact possible to use thin metal wires that would not be suitable for chain formation without endangering the strength and resilience of the decorative element, since the loads can be absorbed by the plastic core inside.
The materials as they are known, for example, as tennis racket covering should be mentioned here merely as an example. These plastic threads are highly wearable, i.e. they endure very high loads and can therefore be used here with advantage.
In an embodiment, the invention provides that the spirally wound metal wire consists of a noble metal. However, the invention is not limited to this. Wires, e.g. made of non-ferrous metal, although the use of precious metals is explicitly in the foreground.
A special decorative effect can be achieved, for example, in that at least two metal wires are wound in parallel around the core in a spiral, and, as is also provided by the invention, the spiral winding around the core can be carried out close to one another and / or at a distance.
If the winding is carried out at a distance, the nature and design of the soul offers a special opportunity to increase the desired decorative effect. Especially with a transparent soul, the winding appears to float completely, which has a special aesthetic appeal.
Other decorative effects can also be achieved through the cross-sectional shape of the coiled metal wires. They can be round, elliptical, rectangular, triangular or polygonal in cross-section, or they can be made from mixed forms of these basic geometric shapes.
If metal wires are wound, which for example have two differently colored sides, u. a. For this, the invention proposes that the metal wire is applied to the plastic core in a twisted manner about its longitudinal axis.
Diese zeigt inThe invention is explained below with reference to the drawing, for example. This shows in
Fig. 1-3 drei unterschiedliche Gestaltungsformen des Schmuckelementes sowie in denFig. 1-3 three different designs of the jewelry element and in the
Fig. 4-7 Längsschnitte durch Teile des Schmuckelementes in unterschiedlicher Gestaltung.Fig. 4-7 longitudinal sections through parts of the jewelry element in different designs.
In Fig. 1, the decorative element designated 1 there consists of a
Another type of winding is shown in FIG. Here the decorative element 1 'consists of a plastic core 2' around which a wire 3 'is wound at a distance, for example in a rectangular cross-sectional shape, in such a way that the core 2' is always visible in some areas. The corresponding cross-sectional shape results in this design from FIG. 5. The wire 3 'can also be wound there so tightly that it penetrates into the core 2' in some areas, which is not shown in any more detail, however.
In Fig. 6 ist eine Möglichkeit dargestellt, die Metalldrähte 4' und 5' unterschiedlicher Färbung im Abstand zueinander zu wickeln, derart, daß die Seele 2" wieder bereichsweise sichtbar ist.6 shows a possibility of winding the metal wires 4 'and 5' of different colors at a distance from one another in such a way that the
Finally, FIG. 7 shows the possibility of winding a cross-sectionally oval metal wire 6 spirally on a
Of course, the described exemplary embodiments of the invention can be modified in many ways without departing from the basic idea. Thus, as already stated, the invention is not restricted to a special cross-sectional shape and / or a special metal and / or a special coloring of the metal wires, as also applies to the type and design and coloring of the soul.
