Description

Ein derartiger Sicherungseinsatz ist bekannt (DE-OS 32 03 211).The invention relates to a fuse link, in particular for low-voltage high-performance fuses, called NH fuses, according to the preamble of claim 1. Thereafter, the fuse link between contact blades has a working fuse and, electrically in parallel with it, an indicator fuse with spring plate indicator. The indicator fuse is stretched between an indicator spring on one end plate and the opposite end plate, it holds down the free end of the indicator spring. If the fuse element melts, the indicator spring can spring open from the end plate and give a visual indication. Such a fuse link is known (DE-OS 32 03 211).

With the various fuse inserts with display devices on the market, the display fuse element is threaded through a relatively wide opening for filling in extinguishing sand and through a small opening in the opposite end plate with a cannula. This cannula is centered by a funnel-shaped expansion of the passage opening. Such a centering makes it possible to thread the display fuse element through the small passage opening, the diameter of which in practice is kept below 0.35 mm. With their small passage opening, one wants to avoid that extinguishing sand is lost and also prevent an arc from escaping when switched off.

In fuse links with a display fuse element of the type described, it can occur in practice that the display fuse element is held in place by grains of sand that jam in the start-up funnel or in the small passage hole, so that the indicator fuse element cannot release the spring plate indicator when activated. It has also sometimes happened that the fuse element has been welded to the live end plate.

The invention has for its object to develop a fuse link, the indicator on the principle of a spring plate indicator is insusceptible to the disturbances described.

The solution to the problem described is according to the invention in a fuse link with the features according to the characterizing part of claim 1. The end plate with the indicator spring is then protected on the inside by a seal through which the fuse element is pierced with a pointed cannula and through which Passage opening can be threaded in the cover plate. Such a sealing layer leaves the display fusible conductor in an annular gap only a smaller distance than the amount of the grain diameter of the quenching sand. If a funnel-shaped run-up is formed at the passage opening for the display fuse element, this cavity is sealed against extinguishing sand by the sealing layer.

In a known display device for fuse links, the fuse element is guided through a grommet-shaped sheath which is inserted through the end plate, between the fuse element and the um cover must also be provided for electrical insulation (DE-GM 76 12 790). In the fuse link according to the invention, special molded parts are unnecessary and assembly is facilitated.

Fuse inserts on the market, if they have a sealing layer, have a wide opening in the area of the passage opening, so that the quenching sand can fill the funnel-shaped run-up. In the case of a fuse link according to the invention, a funnel-shaped start-up of the passage opening is unnecessary if, during assembly, for example, a guide tube is used to ensure that the cannula for threading the fuse element meets the passage opening. The sealing layer can, however, also be designed such that when the cannula is moved sideways to seek the passage opening, the material rests so far that extinguishing sand cannot pass through.

It is expedient for the indicator spring on the end plate to protrude beyond the edge of the opening for the display fuse element in order to keep the indicator fuse element fixed on the outside of the end plate free in the passage opening against its wall. This ensures particularly well that the fuse element cannot weld to the end plate. This is already made difficult by the sealing layer.

The construction of a fuse link according to the invention makes it possible to cover the passage opening for the display fuse element in relation to its diameter over a wide area to train, which on the one hand facilitates threading and on the other hand ensures the function of the fuse element to an even greater extent.

The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown roughly schematically in the drawing:
  • In Figure 1, a fuse link is shown in longitudinal section.
  • FIG. 2 shows the view of a fuse link in the position according to FIG. 1 seen from the right.
  • FIG. 3 shows the fuse link according to FIG. 2 seen from below.
  • FIG. 4 shows a detail of the right end plate according to FIG. 1 on an enlarged scale.
  • An assembly measure is illustrated in FIG. 5 in the manner of the illustration according to FIG.

The fuse link according to FIG. 1 has a working fuse 3 between contact blades 1, 2. Above and electrically parallel to this, a display fuse element 4 with a spring plate indicator is arranged. The display fuse element 4 is stretched between an end plate 6 and the opposite end plate 7, the free end of the indicator spring 5 being held down. When the fuse element 4 melts, the indicator spring 5 can spring open from the end plate 6 and give a visual display.

The end plate 6 with the indicator spring 5 is provided on its inside with a sealing layer 14, which may consist of an asbestos replacement material. A paper-like material can also be used. This sealing layer can be pierced in the assembly by a pointed cannula 20 in a guide tube 8 according to FIG. 5 in order to thread the display fuse element 4 through the end plate 6 into its passage opening 9. The sealing layer 14 extends closer than the amount of the grain diameter of the sand to the display fuse element 4. The contact blades 1, 2 are held with their flanges 11 in an insulating material housing 10, for example made of ceramic.

The spring 5 of the indicator spring 5 can be matched to the fuse element 4 according to FIG. 2 by a notch 12. The display fuse element can be flipped behind the passage opening 9 in the end plate 6 and welded in order to hold down the display spring 5. In the exemplary embodiment, the display fuse element 4 passes through an opening 13 in the display spring 5. The end plates 6 and 7 can be clamped according to Figure 1 by screws 15 on the housing of the fuse link.

To the end plate 6 with the indicator spring 5 opposite, the fuse element 4 is fixed by the closure 16 of the filling opening for sand and is connected to a contact plate 17 according to FIG. The indicator spring 5 and the contact plate 17 ride on the contact blades 2 and 1, respectively. The indicator spring 5 and the contact plate 17 are fastened by knobs 18. It is advantageous if the indicator spring 5 on the end plate 6 over the edge of the passage opening for the display melt conductor 4 is formed above, as illustrated in Figure 4. As a result, the display fuse element is guided freely in the passage opening 9. The piercing opening 19 in the sealing layer 14 is illustrated in the drawing with an exaggerated diameter. The passage opening 9 for the display fuse element 4 can be designed to be spacious relative to its diameter, since the extinguishing sand of the fuse link is prevented from the passage opening 9 in the end plate by the sealing layer 14.
