Description

The invention relates to an arrangement for connecting socket or pin contacts arranged in socket or plug housings with connecting wires by means of projections cut on strip parts arranged on the socket or pin contacts, which can be pressed against the connecting wires and in which the strip parts with which the approaches have Part can be bent transversely to the longitudinal axis of the socket or pin contact between two tabs cut on the socket or pin contact.

In the case of socket or pin contacts axially inserted in socket or plug housings, the latching thereof often proves to be insufficient, as a result of which, under the influence of plug or release forces, the socket or pin contacts are inadvertently pushed out of their housings, which leads to a low level of operational reliability. For axially fixing socket and pin contacts in housings, it is known to provide a 90 degree outlet for the connecting wires, as a result of which the plug-in force acts on the socket or plug housing via the rear ends of the contacts. In a socket or pin contact formed by a sheet metal part (DE-A 2 747 246), it is known to provide a tab with crimp attachments for fixing the electrical conductors, which is bent at a partial length at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the contacts and with the bent part protrudes freely into the space between two tabs arranged on the contacts. The bent part of the flap, however, shows a tendency to bend back under the influence of releasing forces applied to the contacts, as a result of which reliable axial support of the contact in the housing is eliminated.

It is an object of the invention to make the axial support of socket or pin contacts stable and secure in receptacle housings.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the lugs can be placed on the rear end face of the socket or pin contact by means of the strip part and the bent strip part can be overlapped by the tabs.

By overlapping the tabs, unintentional bending back of the strip part is prevented and thus permanent fixation of the socket or pin contacts in the housing is achieved. The possibility remains to first press-connect the connecting wire with the lugs in the axial strip part and then to fix and secure the connection (crimp) thus created after the strip part is bent axially on the contact by means of the tabs.

According to a preferred embodiment of the connection arrangement, the socket or pin contact and the strip part with the lugs and the tabs are made of an electrically conductive material, e.g. Bronze, formed. The socket or pin contacts can thus be cut from a strip material and erected by subsequent bending processes.

It is further provided to provide the socket or pin contact with radial expressions and to fix them axially by engaging them in recesses in the socket or plug housing and to keep them non-rotatable. Plug-in forces can thus be transferred directly to the socket or plug housing via the expressions, which relieves the connection of contacts and connecting wires, in particular in the case of release processes.

It is further provided that the blank for the socket contact has recesses and projections on the longitudinal edge edges and that the longitudinal edge edges of the erected socket contact blank can be locked to one another by mutual engagement of the extensions and recesses. It goes without saying that long socket contacts can optionally have a plurality of axially offset recesses and lugs at a distance from one another. Finally, it is also provided that a lamellar cage is freely arranged in the socket contact for contact improvement, which is axially fixed in the socket contact by means of indentations formed on the socket contact.

The socket contact 1 shown in the figure is formed by a flat blank according to FIG. 8. At its end facing away from the plug side, the socket contact 1 has a strip part 2, which carries lugs 3 on both sides. The strip part 2 of each socket contact is connected to a strip strip 4 (FIG. 8) and can be separated therefrom by a cutting process. The socket contact 1 is provided in the region of the longitudinal edge edges 1 'with projections 5 and recesses 6 which, when the socket contact is erected, bring about a fixation of the longitudinal edge edges 1' to one another by mutual engagement. In addition, as can be seen in FIGS. 1 to 3, the socket contact 1 is provided with expressions 7 which, by engaging in recesses (8) (FIG. 4) of the socket housing 9, ensure an axial fixation of the socket contact 1 in the socket housing 9. The lugs 3 are bent obliquely to the level of the strip part 2 (Fig. 5) and take a connecting wire 10 between them. By pressing of the approaches 3 to the connecting wire 10, a firm and an electrically secure press connection (crimp) of the connecting wire 10 and the bush contact 1 is achieved. The connection of the connecting wire and socket contact 1 can advantageously take place with the strip part 2 stretched. The strip part 2 is then bent transversely to the longitudinal axis of the socket contact and its lugs 3 are brought into contact with the rear end face 1 ″ of the socket contact 1. Two tabs 11 are arranged on the socket contact 1, as shown in FIGS. 1, 2 and 8. which, by overlapping the strip part (Fig. 3), form a securing means for the bent strip part 2. This prevents unintentional bending back of the strip part 2. Although the arrangement of two tabs 11 is expedient, it corresponds to the essence of the invention that a single tab also already leads to a securing of the bent strip part 2. The socket contact 1 is further provided with indentations 12, which fix a lamellar cage 14 between them, which results in a particularly secure contact with a pin contact 13 according to FIGS. 6 and 7.

The pin contact 13 can also be erected from a flat blank (FIG. 8). At the pin contact in turn engages a strip part 2 with lugs 3, which enable the connection to a connecting wire 10 under the action of pressure. The connecting wire 10 can also be connected to the lugs 3 with the pin contact 13 when the strip part 2 is stretched. Subsequent bending of the strip part 2 into the position of FIG. 6 causes the lugs 3 to come into contact with the rear end face 13 ″ of the pin contact 13. The tabs 13 arranged on the pin contact 13 can be bent to secure them.

With the arrangement, the advantage of the 90 ° outlets of connecting wires in the case of socket and pin contacts is achieved with the advantage of additionally securing the position of the 90 ° outlet on the respective contact.
