Definitions
- the invention relates to a profile extruded from plastic for refrigerators, cooling compartments, cool boxes or the like.
- the invention has for its object to provide a plastic extruded profile for refrigerators, refrigerated compartments, cool boxes or the like cooling containers, which is suitable for the simplified design of the front of these cabinets or the like and in particular is designed so that it is able to collect occurring water .
- the profile has two leg regions arranged at a right angle to one another and in that one leg region has a channel which is open to the outside of the leg region.
- This profile offers the advantage that the shaped trough can be used as a water collecting trough that is regularly required for the cooling containers of the type described, and which therefore no longer has to be molded into the sheet steel areas of the containers. This results in a cost-reducing simplification in the manufacture of these containers; because the front design and the water channel design of the cooling containers can be carried out with a uniform profile.
- Another advantage of this gutter design in the profile is that the gutter, for example, with a vertically installed profile or in the upper area of the loading horizontal profile can be used as a receptacle for cables and wires, which saves corresponding structural facilities on the cooling containers and thus further reduces the manufacturing costs.
- the profiles are not mitred, they are arranged so that a lower horizontal profile extends to an end outer wall of the container, the ends of the profile can then be provided with an end cap or connected to a water drain pipe, depending on the choice . Accordingly, an upper horizontal profile can be led out of the front of the container housing and the cables and lines can be inserted into the housing here, so that the housing does not have to have any special cable or line openings.
- the other leg region of the profile has at its free end a receptacle open to the rear for a wall plate of the refrigerator or the like.
- the structural arrangement of the profile can be made so that the wall panels of the outer wall and the inner wall of the refrigerator or the like are inserted into the profile, such that the outer wall is inserted into the rearwardly open receptacle of the profile and the inner wall is angled inwards the channel of the profile is inserted.
- the second leg region near the profile corner has a groove section open to the outside and a box section section adjoining it.
- a seal together with a stop bar is in the groove section arranged. If the front wall of a refrigerator or the like is assembled from horizontally and vertically arranged profiles, the groove sections form a groove area surrounding a compartment opening and the circumferential seal inserted into the groove sections forms a sealing stop for a door closing the compartment opening to be arranged on the front wall. Specifically, a tab of the stop bar can then protrude into the groove section and another tab partially cover the groove section and be aligned parallel to the front surface of the box section, so that the associated door, equipped with a magnetic bar, can strike the further tab.
- the first leg region between the profile corner and the channel has a flat front surface and accordingly has the box profile of the second leg region on a flat front surface.
- These flat outer surface sections make the profile additionally suitable as a component for the front design of the cooling containers.
- the design can be such that at least one web is arranged in the corner area of the profile between the box profile and the channel, which stiffens the corner area. Cavities can also be limited with the webs. These cavities significantly improve the heat insulating properties of the profile.
- the extruded profile 1 shown in FIG. 1 has two leg regions 2 and 3 arranged at right angles to one another.
- the leg area 2 has a web section 4 adjoining the profile corner, which is followed by a channel 5.
- the web section 4 has a flat front surface 8 and merges with its free longitudinal edge into a nose 8a projecting to the rear.
- the channel wall 11 runs from the back of the web section 4, somewhat laterally offset to the nose 8a, in an annular shape such that its free end lies in the plane of the web section 4.
- a flange 12 is formed, which is parallel to the front surface 8, and which projects on both sides of the channel wall 11 and has a nose 12a, which projects backwards corresponding to the nose 8a.
- a web 9 extends at right angles to the rear, the free end of which merges into a web 10 which runs at an angle to the channel wall 11.
- the web section 4, the webs 9, 10 and the channel wall 11 thus enclose a cavity 32.
- the leg region 3 forming the other leg of the profile 1 has a groove section 6 adjoining the profile corner, which is open to the outside, and an adjoining box profile section 7 with a box profile 16.
- the groove section 6 is initially formed by a groove web 14 running inwards from the profile corner, which has an inclined section 14a adjoining the profile corner and a rear grip section 14b widening the rear part of the groove section 6, which merges into the web 9.
- the web section 4, the groove web 14 with its sections 14a and 14b and the web 9 enclose a cavity 33.
- the other side of the groove section 6 is formed by one end face of the box section 16, which is connected to the web.
- the box profile 16 has a rectangular cross section and a front surface 17 which is flat and forms an angular surface of the profile 1.
- the box section 16 encloses a cavity 34.
- the web 18 forming the free end face of the box section 16 is extended to a web projection 19 projecting rearward beyond the box section.
- the front surface 17 of the box section 16 is extended beyond the free end face of the box section 16 and has at its free edge a flange 20 which runs parallel to the web 18 to the rear.
- a seal 13 is arranged together with a stop bar 15.
- the design is such that the stop bar 15 projects into the groove section 6 with a tab and rests there against the box section 16 and partially covers the slot section 6 with another tab and is aligned parallel to the front surface 17 of the box section 16.
- FIG. 2 and 3 show the structure of a wall-hung refrigerator using profile sections which are designed in accordance with the profile shown in Fig. 1.
- FIG. 2 shows the left end region of such a refrigerator housing 22, which can extend to the right over the length of several compartments.
- the front front of the refrigerator housing shown has a longitudinal profile section 25 and 26 at the top and bottom, which form a frame with transverse cross section sections 27, 28 and 29, which has a plurality of compartment openings. Connection screws are designated 31.
- Fig. 3 shows this training in a sectional view.
- the main body of the refrigerator housing consists of two angled sections genes at a distance from each other parallel walls, from an outer wall 23 and an inner wall 24. In the embodiment, these walls are made of stainless steel sheet. The cavity between the walls is filled with insulating foam. Cross walls (not shown) are arranged at the ends and between the compartment openings.
- the upper free edge and the lower free edge of the outer wall 23 are inserted into the upper longitudinal profile section 25 and into the lower longitudinal profile section 26, in each case in the space that is between the web 18 and the flange 20 (Fig . 1).
- the free edges of the inner wall 24 are angled outwards to form flanges 30 which protrude into the groove 5 of the two profiles 25 and 26. This ensures that water forming in the refrigerator compartments can run into the channel 5 of the lower longitudinal profile section 26.
- the refrigerator housing has a water drainage device, not shown, which is connected at a suitable point to the channel 5 of the profile section 26.
- the trough 5 of the upper longitudinal profile section 25 can be used, for example, to accommodate electrical cables. Because the trough 5 of the transverse profile sections 27, 28, 29 at the joints with the longitudinal profile sections 25, 26 openly merge into the troughs 5 of the longitudinal profile sections, if necessary, cables running in the trough 5 of the longitudinal profile section 25 can run without can also be inserted into the grooves 5 of the transverse profile sections 27, 28, 29.
- the doors that separate the cabinet surface are not shown in FIGS. 2 and 3. These doors can have magnetic tapes which, in a known manner, put on the stop bars 15 and the seals 13 of the profiles when the doors are closed.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a profile extruded from plastic for refrigerators, cooling compartments, cool boxes or the like.
The invention has for its object to provide a plastic extruded profile for refrigerators, refrigerated compartments, cool boxes or the like cooling containers, which is suitable for the simplified design of the front of these cabinets or the like and in particular is designed so that it is able to collect occurring water .
This object has been achieved according to the invention in that the profile has two leg regions arranged at a right angle to one another and in that one leg region has a channel which is open to the outside of the leg region.
This profile offers the advantage that the shaped trough can be used as a water collecting trough that is regularly required for the cooling containers of the type described, and which therefore no longer has to be molded into the sheet steel areas of the containers. This results in a cost-reducing simplification in the manufacture of these containers; because the front design and the water channel design of the cooling containers can be carried out with a uniform profile. Another advantage of this gutter design in the profile is that the gutter, for example, with a vertically installed profile or in the upper area of the loading horizontal profile can be used as a receptacle for cables and wires, which saves corresponding structural facilities on the cooling containers and thus further reduces the manufacturing costs. If the profiles are not mitred, they are arranged so that a lower horizontal profile extends to an end outer wall of the container, the ends of the profile can then be provided with an end cap or connected to a water drain pipe, depending on the choice . Accordingly, an upper horizontal profile can be led out of the front of the container housing and the cables and lines can be inserted into the housing here, so that the housing does not have to have any special cable or line openings. These simplifications mentioned are also advantageous because the walls of the containers are double-walled for good insulation on the one hand and, on the other hand, any breakthrough of these walls creates the risk of cold losses.
According to a development of the invention, the other leg region of the profile has at its free end a receptacle open to the rear for a wall plate of the refrigerator or the like. The structural arrangement of the profile can be made so that the wall panels of the outer wall and the inner wall of the refrigerator or the like are inserted into the profile, such that the outer wall is inserted into the rearwardly open receptacle of the profile and the inner wall is angled inwards the channel of the profile is inserted.
According to another development of the invention, the second leg region near the profile corner has a groove section open to the outside and a box section section adjoining it. According to other developments of the invention, a seal together with a stop bar is in the groove section arranged.
According to other developments of the invention, the first leg region between the profile corner and the channel has a flat front surface and accordingly has the box profile of the second leg region on a flat front surface. These flat outer surface sections make the profile additionally suitable as a component for the front design of the cooling containers.
Furthermore, the design can be such that at least one web is arranged in the corner area of the profile between the box profile and the channel, which stiffens the corner area. Cavities can also be limited with the webs. These cavities significantly improve the heat insulating properties of the profile.
