   jeweils zwischen dem Verstellmechanismus dieser Signalringe und dem Räderwerk ein ungleichförmig abtreibendes Getriebe eingefügt ist.

Diese Kraft muß also über die gesamte Betriebszeit der Uhr bereitstehen, obwohl sie nur über einen kurzen Zeitraum innerhalb eines Tages benötigt wird. Dieser Mangel macht sich insbesondere bei den modernen elektrischen Armbanduhren bemerkbar, die möglichst klein und leicht ausgeführt werden müssen und auch eine sehr hohe Standzeit der eingesetzten Batterie gewährleisten sollen. Die Standzeit der Batterie ist jedoch außer vom internen Batterieaufbau auch von der Leistungsentnahme beziehungsweise der Leistungsanforderung durch das Uhrwerk abhängig. Hierbei ist nicht nur die Höhe der Leistungsentnahme maßgebend, sondern auch die Schwankungen in der Größe dieser Entnahme. So sind derartige in modernen Armbanduhren eingesetzte Batterien insbesondere daraufhin ausgelegt, einen verhältnismäßig niederen Strom über sehr lange Zeit zu liefern. Durch die Wahl der Kurbelarmgröße kann hierbei das Drehmoment und die Drehgeschwindigkeit des Schaltrades bestimmt werden. Nachteilig macht sich allerdings die fehlende dauernde Verbindung zwischen diesen beiden Schaltgliedern bemerkbar. Einen grundsätzlich anderen Weg zeigt die DE-A-15 23 772 auf mit einem Zahnradgetriebe, das aus Zahnrädern besteht, die ineinander greifen und einen sich ändernden Teilkreisradius aufweisen. Zu dieser Art Getriebe zählen auch noch diejenigen, die in der US-A-37 57 508 sowie der FR-A-929 179 beschrieben sind. Zu erwähnen wäre schließlich auch noch eine sogenannte Lemniskatenuhr, die neben einem Gelenkviereck drei Ellipsenräder und zwei kreisrunde Zahnräder aufweist.
