Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a liquid constituent support of a detergent formula, a substance based on said support and on an antifoam, as well as their preparation process and the detergent formulas containing said substances.
  • liquid or solid detergent compositions for washing natural or synthetic textiles is today widespread. This washing can be carried out in an artisanal way by hand or automatically using machines.
  • liquid component of detergent formulas defoamers, perfumes, fabric softeners, nonionic type surfactants.
  • soaps As an anti-foaming agent, it has already been proposed to add a relatively large proportion of soaps with a long alkyl chain (18 to 20 carbon atoms). These soaps have several drawbacks: they must be used in large quantities, they have a weakened anti-foaming power in very soft water and are not versatile, that is to say that they do not have the same anti-foaming power for washing compositions. rich in nonionic agents, for detergent compositions composed essentially of soaps or for conventional detergent compositions.
  • the anti-foaming substances as well as certain liquid constituents of the detergent formulas used in the solid detergent compositions must have a certain number of characteristics:
  • the antifoaming agent or composition must be stable over time within the detergent formula. It should be remembered that the detergent formula is a formula in most cases very alkaline and which has a great greed for water. This greed for water often leads to hydrolysis of fragile compounds which include defoamers.
  • This anti-foaming substance meets the first two characteristics, that is to say on the one hand, it has an anti-foaming function at all temperatures and with all types of formulas, and on the other hand, it is in powder form. .
  • the present invention has made it possible to achieve the characteristics described above. It relates to a support for liquid constituents of a washing formula characterized in that it consists of 54% to 67% by weight of anhydrous sodium tripolyphosphate, water and an acid orthophosphate and / or acid pyrophosphate sodium.
  • Sodium tripolyphosphate preferably has a phase 1 level greater than 50%. It is advantageously obtained by atomization and is preferably presented in granular form with particles having an average diameter of approximately 300 wm.
  • the tripolyphosphate preferably has a density of between 0.3 and 0.6.
  • a support consisting of sodium tripolyphosphate and sodium acid pyrophosphate.
  • the support according to the invention preferably has the following weight composition: Even more preferably, the support has the following constitution:
  • a completely preferred anti-foam support according to the invention has the following formula:
  • This support can be prepared using two different techniques.
  • the sodium tripolyphosphate and pyrophosphate and / or sodium acid orthophosphate solids can be dry mixed then spray the water on this mixture or spray on the anhydrous tripolyphosphate an aqueous solution of acid pyrophosphate and / or sodium acid orthophosphate.
  • the anti-foam substance is composed of the support described above and an anti-foam composition.
  • the antifoaming substance can be prepared by mixing the antifoaming composition with the support as defined above. It can also be prepared by spraying an aqueous emulsion of the antifoam composition on the mixture of anhydrous tripolyphosphate-acid pyrophosphate and / or sodium acid orthophosphate powders. This mixture should preferably be left to mature after manufacture for a minimum period of approximately 24 hours.
  • the anti-foaming substance according to the invention preferably contains at most about 15% of anti-foaming composition by weight relative to the support.
  • a protective substance such as paraffins or fatty acids.
  • anti-foaming substances can be included in all types of detergent formulas, in particular all-soap formulas, formulas rich in nonionics or more conventional formulas.
  • an amount of anti-foam substance is used such that the weight ratio of anti-foam substance to the detergent formula is between 0.15 and 0.5% and preferably about 0.3%.
  • the anti-foaming efficiency tests were carried out on non-stored anti-foaming substances, therefore incorporated into the detergent formula and immediately tested, on anti-foaming substances stored outside the detergent formula for 1 month at 40 ° C. then incorporated into the detergent formula and tested immediately and finally on anti-foaming substances stored inside the detergent formula for 1 month at 40 ° C.
  • the efficiency is measured by the height of the foam (Table III) appearing during a washing cycle in a household machine with a front window allowing the levels of foam to be visually monitored on a strip.
  • the program used has a washing phase, the temperature of which changes from ambient to 90 ° C-95 ° C; detergents are tested at 6 g / I in the presence of a load of laundry close to 5 kg.
  • a comparative test was carried out on a substance composed of 80% of support consisting of hydrated tripolyphosphate without pyrophosphate and of the same antifoaming composition (20%) as previously incorporated into a washing formula at the rate of 0.3% of active and aged material. 1 month at 40 ° C.
