Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a medical elevator with two articulated struts arranged by crosswise and pivotable about a common, horizontal axis, formed from upright and horizontal spars, on which steerable front wheels and preferably manually drivable larger rear wheels are rotatably arranged and on which upward , backrest spars holding a backrest, depending on the folding movement, can be moved up and down, seat spars carrying a seat surface and a footrest are supported by means of support arms.
From US Pat. No. 4,082,348, a medical elevator constructed in this way has become known, which consists of a metal construction and is therefore stable, but has a high weight, which makes transportation and handling difficult.
Furthermore, in this known medical elevator, its two side frames are made of metal pipes and sockets which are connected to one another by welding, partially nested and can be fixed against one another by additional means, which are complex and expensive to manufacture and, as essential, load-bearing components of the medical elevator, are of great weight determine.
Based on this prior art, it is an object of the invention to provide a medical elevator with simple and inexpensive to produce, light weight and stable side frame, which at the same time provide safe management, storage and mounting points for the associated parts of the elevator.
This object is achieved by the characterizing features of
Further features of the invention can be found in subclaims 2 to 15. The object of the invention extends not only to the features of the individual claims, but also to their combination.
Der erfindungsgemäße Krankenfahrstuhl zeigt folgende Vorteile:
- 1. The entire elevator consists predominantly of plastic, so that a great weight saving compared to conventional elevators is achieved and the handling, driving comfort and transport have been significantly improved,
- 2. the two side frames are each made of plastic and at the same time have guide and bearing mounts and fastening parts for the seat pillars, the rear wheel axle block, the footrest, the front wheels and the side parts in terms of manufacture,
- 3. the side frames are largely tubular in their spars, which gives good stability,
- 4. The seat upright, which can be moved up and down as a function of the folding movement, engage the tubular guide uprights with vertical guide rails made of metal the side frame, so that additional stabilization of the side frame is achieved,
- 5. the side parts are made of easy-to-manufacture and stable plastic parts which can be quickly and securely attached and detached to plastic receptacles on the side frame and on the backrest bars by means of molded plug-in and locking means,
- 6. Furthermore, the side parts have height-adjustable armrests, which engage with molded strips in the grooves of the side parts and can be locked in the set height by means of a latching means,
- 7. In addition, the plastic parts of the hospital elevator can be executed in different colors, so that the cold metallic version of the hospital elevator is no longer available, but the colored design appeals to a disabled person and no longer has the character of a wheelchair and thereby reduces the antipathy of disabled people.
