Abstract
Vierzylindermotor mit verlängerter Expansion, bei dem zwei der Zylinder um 360° phasenverschoben nach dem Viertaktprinzip arbeiten und die weiteren Zylinder nach dem Zweitaktprinzip zur Nachexpansion und Nachverbren nung der Abgase der nach dem Viertaktprinzip arbeitenden Zylinder dienen, bei dem die Einlassöffnungen der der Nachexpansion dienenden Zylinder mit den Auslassöffnun gen der nach dem Viertaktprinzip arbeitenden Zylinder über je einen ventilgesteuerten Zwischenspeicher mitein ander verbunden sind, derart, dass die Abgase in jedem Zwischenspeicher während eines Taktes der nach dem Viertaktprinzip arbeitenden Zylinder zur weiteren Verbren nung verbleiben.
