Claims (22)

1. A traveling device able to be halted for holding sacks at the upper edge thereof comprising a pivoting lever (2) pivotally mounted about a horizontal shaft in the lower section of the frame of the device, said lever (2) having a foot part (21), which on being kicked down against the force of a spring presses a brake means (24) against the floor to halt the device and by pivoting of the pivoting part serves to open a device lid, arranged over the sack opening, or an elastically deforming sack holding part (12 and 17) holding the upper sack edge, characterized in that the foot part (21) of the pivoting lever (2) or its pivot shaft (13) is provided with a head (25a and 28) or with an eccentric (34 and 35a), which is slidingly or rollingly seated on a rail (23, 27 and 36) which is mounted (pivotally if needed) on the frame of the device and carries a braking and halting stay (24) able to be pressed against the floor (B), said rail (23 and 36) or the head (25a and 28) being able to be resiliently fully bent.
2. The device as claimed in claim 1 characterized in that the rail (23, 27 and 36) is urged by the pulling or pushing action of a spring (30) towards its initial setting.
3. The device as claimed in claim 1 characterized in that the lower section of the braking and halting stay (24, 24a and 38) is provided with a soft, resilient frictional covering (26,41 and 41a).

The device as claimed in claim 1 or claim 2 characterized in that the rigid head (25a and 28) of the foot part (21) or the eccentric (35a) or the actuating wheel (35) or the rigid head of the shaft (34,34a and 13a) and the rail (23, 27 and 36) are arranged in the vertical longitudinal central plane (M) of the device.
5. The device as claimed in claim 1 characterized in that the rigid head (28) of the foot part (21) is at an angle of 120° or more to the rail (23 and 36).
6. The device as claimed in any one of the claims 1 '¡¡rough 5 characterized in that it comprise a retainer lock.
7. The device as claimed in claim 6 characterized in that a pivoting setting part (51) is pivotally mounted on the rigid head (28) of the foot part (21) and the front end edges of the part (51) rest against the braking and halting stay (24) in the braking position.
8. The device as claimed in claim 7 characterized in that a compression spring (58) is arranged between the pivoting setting part (51) and the rigid head (28).
9. The device as claimed in claim 8 characterized in that the setting part (51) is designed with a U-like cross section and adjacent its rear end edges (52) it is provided with holes (53) in its side walls, through which walls the shaft carrying the sliding roller (29) extends.
10. The device as claimed in any one of the claims 7 through 9 characterized in that the upper side of the setting part (51) is placed at the same level as the foot part (21) of the foot lever (2) or approximately at the same level.
11. The device as claimed in claim 6 characterized in that the rail (27) carries an operating latch whose moving latch member (rod 142) is able to be moved by the head (25a).
12. The device as claimed in claim 1 characterized in that the operating latch is formed by the rail (27) between the frame strut (8) and the braking and halting part (24a) and furthermore by a resilient finger (130) and the moving latch part (rod 142).
13. The device as claimed in claim 11 characterized in that the resilient finger (130) has its foot part connected with the rail (27), in its center part (133) has a recess or a cutout (137) and has its end (134) remote from the foot part resting on the rail (27).

The device as claimed in any one of the claims 11 through 13 characterized in that the rail (27) is provided with one or more parts (141 and 45) like barbed hooks for the bent down end (143) of the moving latch part (rod 142), which is or are arranged adjacent to a rail edge near the moving latch part (rod 142).
15. The device as claimed in claim 14 characterized in that the parts like barbed hooks are upwardly bent parts (141 and 145) of an outwardly formed tag.
16. The device as claimed in claim 14 characterized in that the parts like barbed hooks are cams.
17. The device as claimed in any one or more of the claims 12 through 16 characterized in that the moving latch part is in the form of a rod (142) pivotally mounted on the eccentric, the head (25a) or the like and having a rectangular bent part (143), which slides on the rail (27) and drops through the recess or the cutout (137) in the resilient finger (130) onto the rail (27).
18. The device as claimed in claim 13 characterized in that the recess or the cutout (137) in the resilient finger (130) extends from its longitudinal edge (136) adjacent to the moving latch part (rod 142) and extends as far as a position past the end (143a) of the bent part (143) of the moving latch part (rod 142) towards the oppositely placed longitudinal edge.

The device as claimed in any one of the claims 14 through 16 characterized in that the operating latch has a comma-like bolt (158), whose one end (158a) is pivotally mounted on one limb (151) of a U-like section (150), which is arranged on the rail (27) carrying the braking or halting plate (24a).
20. The device as claimed in claim 19 characterized in that the second limb (152) of the U-like section is provided with one or more inclined cutouts (153 and 154).
21. The device as claimed in claim 20 characterized in that the cutout or the cutouts (153 and 154) is or are designed to slope upwards towards the front end of the rail (150).
22. The device as claimed in any one of the claims 19 through 21 characterized in that there is a securing pin (160) arranged over the comma-like pivoting bolt (158) to prevent the bolt (158) from being knocked over.
