Zur Erzielung einer ausreichenden Stabilität der Informationstafel 30 weist deren Grundplatte 32 einen randseitig umlaufenden Steg 32' auf, dessen Höhe vorzugsweise etwa der Dicke der ausklappbaren Tafel 3 entspricht. Zur Erleichterung der Handhabung der Informationstafel 30 weist der umlaufende Steg 32' eine Griffnut 44 auf, durch welche eine Griffkante 44' an der Tafel 3 zugänglich ist. Wie bei diesem Ausführungsbeispiel klar ersichtlich ist, kann die hier vorgestellte Informationstafel 30 an beliebiger Stelle auf der Frontseite oder der Außenseite einer der Rahmenleisten 21 bis 24 aufgesetzt werden. Claims (4)

1. A picture frame with an information plate (3, 30) which carries information on the picture held in the frame (1) for a person looking at the picture, the information plate (3, 30) forming part of the picture frame (1) and the parts of the frame being pivotably connected to each other so that in the pivoted-out state a surface (31, 31') of the information plate which is arranged so as to be hidden in the frame (1) is directed at the person looking at the picture so that it is visible, characterised in that the information plate (3, 30) is one of the frame bars (21, 22, 23, 24) which is articulated to the frame (1) at its outer edge (23').
2. A picture frame according to the introductory clause of Claim 1, characterised in that the information plate (3) is part of a frame bar (21-24) which is articulated to the frame (1) by one of its edges (23').
3. A picture frame according to the introductory clause of Claim 1, characterised in that the information plate (3, 30) is arranged as a separate part (30) on one of the frame bars (21-24) of the frame (1) and is pivotably articulated thereto on the outside.
4. A picture frame according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the parts (3,21-24,30) of the frame (1) which are pivotable with respect to each other are provided with catch means or closing means for fixing in preferred positions and with gripping eyes or knobs (44, 44') for manipulation.
