Abstract

The present invention relates to a device (1) for receiving and supporting a book product (9), preferably a bound book or a loose-leaf collection, the device (1) having a coherent peripheral frame element (2) comprising a plurality of panels which are connected to one another and can be pivoted relative to one another (21, 22, 23, 24), wherein by pivoting the panels (21, 22, 23, 24) relative to each other the frame member (2) between a receiving state for receiving the book product (9) in an interior of the frame member (2) formed receiving space (3) and a supporting condition for supporting the book product (9) on the outside (210) of one of the panels (21, 22, 23, 24) of the frame member (2).

The present invention relates to an apparatus for receiving and supporting a book product, such as a bound book or a loose-leaf collection.

Based on the known state of the art, it is an object of the present invention to provide an improved device for receiving and supporting a book product, preferably a bound book or a loose-leaf collection.

The object is achieved by a device for receiving and supporting a book product, preferably a bound book or a loose-leaf collection, having the features of claim 1. Advantageous developments result from the dependent claims, the description and the figures.

Accordingly, a device for receiving and supporting a book product, preferably a bound book or a loose-leaf collection, is proposed, the device comprising a coherent, peripheral frame element having a plurality of interconnected and relatively pivotable panels. The device is characterized in that by pivoting the panels relative to each other, the frame member between an accommodating state for accommodating the book product in an accommodating space formed inside the frame member and a supporting state for supporting the book product on the outside of one of the panels of the frame member.

In the present case, a “panel” is understood to mean a plate-shaped object which has a significantly smaller thickness in relation to its length and width, and is therefore of thin-walled design. A panel comprises, at least in part, a rigid material.

The frame element is preferably embodied symmetrically in such a way that the frame element has a lateral opening on each of the two lateral sides.

The receiving space is preferably designed in such a way that the book product can be received completely, so that a cover of the book product is surrounded on all sides by the frame element.

Preferably, at least two panels of the frame element are connected to one another, preferably glued, preferably by overlapping parts or areas of the panels to provide the continuous surrounding frame element, it being found to be advantageous if, to provide the surrounding frame element, three are preferably previously used as individual semi-finished products present panels of the frame element are connected to each other to form the frame element, preferably glued.

It has turned out to be advantageous if, in the supporting state, the frame element for supporting the book product is formed on the outside of a cover panel of the frame element.

Preferably, the book product has a height-width-thickness ratio (HxWxD) of 1.95 x 1.55 x 1, with the book product preferably having a height of 19.5 cm, a width of 15.5 cm and a thickness of has 10 cm.

Furthermore, the receiving space preferably has a height-width-thickness ratio (HxWxD) of 1.9 to 2 x 1.6 to 1.65 x 1, preferably from 1.95 x 1.62 x 1, the receiving space preferably having a height of 20.5 cm, a width of 17 cm and a thickness of 10 .5 cm. As a result, an advantageous inclination of the book product supported by the device can be achieved, which provides an ergonomic viewing angle for a human observer onto the book product.

Alternatively or additionally, in the supported state, the rear panel and the top panel enclose a predetermined opening angle, with the opening angle preferably being 80°-120°, preferably 85°-95° and particularly preferably 90°. It has been found that the device is designed to be particularly stable in the supported state.

In the supporting state, the support formed by the underside panel is preferably designed to counteract a downhill force acting on a book product resting on the cover panel.

The support formed by the cover panel is preferably formed in such a way that it essentially absorbs the weight of the book product.

In the supported state, the rear panel is preferably intended to be supported on an external base or on an external support, for example a tabletop, on which the device is placed.

According to a further preferred embodiment, the underside panel comprises a dividing edge, which divides the underside panel into a part close to the top panel and a part close to the back panel, the part close to the top panel and the part close to the back panel being pivotably connected to one another via the dividing edge, with the part close to the top panel preferably providing a support for forms the underside of the book product resting on the cover panel.

Alternatively or additionally, at least one wing panel may be pivotally connected to the frame member on at least one of the panels, preferably the back panel and/or the top panel, along an open edge of the frame member extending along a lateral opening of the frame member.

The lateral opening can preferably be covered by the wing panel in the receiving state or covered in the transport state.

According to a further preferred embodiment, a wing panel for covering the respective lateral opening in the receiving state is pivotably arranged on one of the panels of the frame element, preferably on the rear panel, on both lateral sides of the frame element.

According to a further preferred embodiment, a contact panel for placing on an outer side of the frame element is pivotally connected to the wing panel on its side opposite the pivotable arrangement on the frame element.

It has proven to be advantageous if at least one magnetic element is provided in order to hold the frame element in the supporting state, with at least one magnetic element preferably being arranged on the swivel panel, which interacts in the supporting state with a further magnetic element arranged on the rear panel for holding the frame element in the supporting state, and/or interacts in the receiving state with a further magnet element arranged on the underside panel for holding the pivoting panel in a state in contact with the underside panel.

Detailed description of preferred embodiments

Preferred exemplary embodiments are described below with reference to the figures. Elements that are the same, similar or have the same effect are provided with identical reference symbols in the different figures, and a repeated description of these elements is sometimes dispensed with in order to avoid redundancies.
