Auch diese Ausführung eignet sich wenig für Schmuckzwecke. Lockable ornamental chain, ornamental necklace which can be altered to match the neckline, having gripping tooth members which alternately lock into one another and which are run onto one another in opposite gaps and can be opened and closed by means of a slide in the manner of a slide fastener, the tooth members (1) of each row being connected so as to be moved with the neighbouring members (1, 2) in each case via their base part (2), and in each case a loop (3) connecting two neighbouring base parts (2) is provided, projections locking into one another on closing, characterized in that the loop members (3) lie in the chain plane to movably connect the tooth members (1) with links (4) lying vertically to the chain plane, and on closing both these loops (3) and the widened base parts (2) lock like gripping fingers (6) on the opposing side in arched recesses (7, 8) of the base parts (2).

Lockable ornamental chain, ornamental necklace which can be altered to match the neckline, having gripping tooth members which alternately lock into one another and which are run onto one another in opposite gaps and can be opened and closed by means of a slide in the manner of a slide fastener, the tooth members (11) of each row being connected so as to be moved with the neighbouring members (11, 12) in each case via their base part (12), and in each case a loop (13) connecting two neighbouring base parts (12) is provided, projections locking into one another on closing, characterized in that the loop members (13) lie vertically to the chain plane to movably connect the tooth members (11) with links (14) lying in the chain plane, and on closing tooth heads (16) lock on both sides into arched recesses (17, 18) of the base parts (12) and the loops (13) both limit the top and bottom position of the tooth head.
3. Lockable ornamental chain according to claim 1, characterized in that the tooth arches lock into one another like arched gripping fingers (6), the catch being provided on the back of the same (7).
4. Lockable ornamental chain according to claim 2, characterized in that the tooth heads (16a - 16c) are ball-shaped or cylinder-shaped, whereas the securing links for the loops (13) form arches (11 a 11 c) for the tooth heads.
5. Lockable ornamental chain according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the base parts of the tooth members are formed as solid members (Figure 1) or frame members (Figure 2).
6. Lockable ornamental chain according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the tooth members connected by means of loops (3,13) to base parts are formed as flat punched members.
7. Lockable ornamental chain according to one of the previous claims, characterized in that the base parts (2, 12) and/or the loop parts (3, 13) are formed as an ornamental setting or gem mounts (9,19).
