Zwischen den Gleitstückbacken ist so viel Spielraum gelassen, dafs die massiven Glieder d² mit ihren Oesenansätzen bequem hindurchgehen können. Das Gleitstück wird auf den Gliedern a¹ d² angebracht, indem man nach Fertigstellung des Schuhes die 'sämmtlichen Kettenglieder mit einander kuppelt und hierauf das oberste Ende in die Oeffnung d² des Gleitstückes d hineinschiebt und an den Seiten wieder herauszieht, worauf es für immer auf den beiden Ketten bleibt. Damit das Gleitstück beim Schliefsen des Schuhes nicht aus Versehen von der Kette abgezogen werden kann, ist an dem oberen Kettenende ein Ring α^β angeordnet, der als Anschlagpunkt für das Gleitstück- dient.The slider d (Fig. 3, 5 and 6) consists of two jaws, which are held together by means of a triangular or similarly shaped block d ^l .
