Um ein sauberes Schriftbild zu erhalten, müssen die Heizpunkte mit einer bestimmten Andruckkraft gleichmäßig gegen das Papier gedrückt werden. Dies setzt eine über die Länge der Heizpunktreihe sehr gleichmäßige Andruckkraft einerseits und eine sehr genaue achsparallele Ausrichtung der Lagerachse der Halterung des Thermokopfs und der Welle der Transportwalze andererseits sowie eine sehr genaue Zuführung der Papierbahn voraus. Der Thermokopf muß also bei der Fertigung, aber auch nach jeder Reinigung oder Erneuerung, sehr genau justiert werden. Der Thermokopf 6 in Form einer mit nicht näher dargestellten Heizpunkten und entsprechender Ansteuerlogik bestückten Keramikplatte ist mit einem hitzebeständigen Kleber an den mit "x" bezeichneten Auflagepunkten auf eine Halteplatte 3 aus glasfaserverstärktem thermoplastischem Kunststoff aufgeklebt, wobei zur positionsgenauen Ausrichtung Anschläge 3d dienen, die parallel zu nutartigen Führungen 13 mit Anschlagflächen 3b, 3c in seitlichen Stegen 9 der Halteplatte 3 hergestellt sind. Der Thermokopf 6 wird über die Halterung 3 in nachfolgend noch näher zu beschreibender Weise im Bereich seiner Heizpunkte gegen eine Papierbahn 8 gedrückt, die rückseitig durch eine gummibeschichtete Transportwalze 7 geführt und abgestützt wird, die auch als Gegendruckwalze bezeichnet werden kann. Die Transportwalze 7 wird durch einen nicht dargestellten Motor angetrieben. Sie bildet also das Gegenlager für die einzelnen, in Reihe dicht nebeneinander angeordneten Heizpunkte 11 des Thermokopfs 6. Um ein sauberes Schriftbild zu erhalten, müssen die Heizpunkte 11 mit einer bestimmten Kraft gleichmäßig gegen die Papierbahn 8 gedrückt werden. Dies wird erfindungsgemäß dadurch erreicht, daß die Halteplatte 3 in Anstellrichtung gegen die Papierbahn 8 in nur einem Auflagepunkt eines noppenartig vorspringenden Ansatzes 3a in der Mitte zwischen den beiden nutartigen Führungen 13 auf der im nicht näher gezeigten Gestell des Laufwerks gelagerten Achse 4 aufliegt. Das heißt, der Nutgrund der Führungen 13 berührt die Achse 4 im Normalfall nicht. Die Halteplatte 3 ist also einerseits in Vertikalrichtung der Darstellung nur im Bereich der Anschlagflächen 3b, 3c der Führungen 13 und in Horizontal- oder Anstellrichtung nur am Auflagepunkt des Ansatzes 3a abgestützt. Die Andruckkraft und deren glechmäßige Verteilung auf den durch einpunktförmige Abstützung sozusagen "schwimmend" über die Halteplatte 3 gehaltenen Thermokopf 6 wird durch eine Blattfeder 2 erreicht, die im Bereich zwischen der punktartigen Abstützung der Halteplatte 3 durch den Ansatz 3a und den Anschlägen 3d an der dem Thermokopf 6 abgekehrten Außenseite der Halteplatte einseitig eingespannt ist und an ihrem freien (distalen) Ende entweder am Gestell des Laufwerks anliegt oder - wenn die Andruckkraft einstellbar sein soll - mittels einer im Gestell verankerten Schraube 1 in ihrer Andruckkraft eingestellt werden kann.
