Description

The invention relates to a ski binding according to the preamble of claim 1.

AS 28 46 475 describes such a ski binding, for example. In the known devices, it is necessary to first cover the openings in the sole extension of a shoe with the pins that fit exactly into these openings on the upper side of the shoe 7 u. This requires considerable attention, which is particularly undesirable in a so-called step-in binding.

In addition, the relatively cumbersome insertion of the locking pins into the openings of the sole extension or their removal is disadvantageous in the known ski bindings. The object of the invention is to provide a binding of the type outlined above, in which boarding can be carried out comfortably without actuation of the binding by hand or a ski pole and in which the merging of locking pins and retaining bracket when boarding the Binding takes place by itself. This object is achieved by the characterizing part of claim 1.

The task of comfortably getting into the binding is achieved in that the shoe is first inserted into the bracket formed as a type of tip pocket, which can be facilitated by appropriate design of the side walls of this tip pocket. In this case, the holding bracket can be pressed down by the boot itself, so that it is not necessary to actuate the binding by hand or a ski pole. During this depression, the locking 7 automatically penetrate into the openings provided in the sole extension, since these are already held in the correct position by the retaining bracket.

If the releasable lock is designed as a spring-loaded pawl, which snaps into the closed position when the retaining bracket is pivoted, then the releasable lock is locked automatically when entering the binding, the only manual actuation of the binding takes place when the latter is opened; it consists in pressing the pawl, which can also be done using the ski pole or a boot that has already been released from the binding.

A more detailed explanation of the invention is given below using an exemplary embodiment which is shown in the drawing.

In dieser ist Fig. 1 die Draufsicht auf das vordere Ende eines für die erfindungsgemäße Bindung bestimmten Langlaufschuhs, Fig. 2 ein vertikaler Längsschnitt durch die montierte Bindung im Verwendungszustand, Fig. 3 eine Fig. 2 entsprechende Draufsicht.1 is a plan view of the front end of a cross-country shoe intended for the binding according to the invention, FIG. 2 is a vertical longitudinal section through the mounted binding in the state of use, FIG. 3 is a plan view corresponding to FIG. 2.

The ski binding according to the invention is intended for use in connection with a shoe 14 according to FIG. 1 which is already on the market and whose front sole area is extended. The sole extension 12 is rigid in its foremost region and has openings 15 there. Between these and the shoe 14 there is a flexible area 13, which allows the heel of the shoe to be lifted while the front part of the sole extension 12 remains clamped on the ski.

The binding shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 serves to fasten the shoe. Its most important part is the bracket 1 for the shoe 14, which is pivotable about a transverse axis 4. This transverse axis is arranged on a base body 3, which is fastened to the ski 6 by means of screws 7 is. Locking pins 2 are firmly connected to the base body and, in the position shown in FIG. 2, penetrate the interior of the retaining bracket 1. The transverse axis 4 is surrounded by a leg spring 5, which attempts to pivot the retaining bracket 1 into the position shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 2, in which the retaining bracket 1 is separated from the locking pin 2. However, this pivoting is only possible if the pawl 10 loaded by the spring 11 has been pivoted out of the shoulder 17 of the retaining bracket 1. It is sufficient if a moderate pressure is exerted in the region of the recess 9 towards the pawl 10 with a ski stick or also by hand.

When entering the open binding shown in dash-dotted lines in FIG. 2, the shoe 14 is inserted obliquely into the holding bracket 1, the pawl 10 engaging over the upper edge of the holding bracket 1. Then the shoe 14 is pivoted together with the retaining bracket 1 in the direction of arrow 16 and penetrated through the locking pin 12. The pawl 10 slides over the upper edge. d d s bracket 1 and is finally locked in its paragraph 17.

To open the binding, it is only necessary to pivot the pawl 10 out of the shoulder 17 of the holding bracket 1, as described. The retaining bracket 1 is then pivoted upwards until the locking pins 2 no longer engage in the openings 15 in the sole extension 12 of the shoe 14.

The bracket 1 is provided in the illustrated embodiment with side walls 8 which form a guide when inserting the shoe, through which it facilitates is to bring the holding pin 2 or the openings 18 in the bracket 1 with the openings 15 in the sole extension 12 to cover. In addition, these side walls provide additional protection against lateral pivoting of the shoe 14.

The particular advantage of the device shown is its simple operation, that is to say that the binding is closed just as easily as in the case of the safety ski bindings known under the name "step-in binding". The arbitrary opening by loading a latch and then swiveling up the movable binding part is very simple and in particular does not require the user to bend down.
