Description

The invention relates to an engine block with a pump chamber in which a pump with a pump neck is arranged rotatably about a pump chamber axis, the pump neck being arranged eccentrically with respect to the pump chamber axis and a hood with a hood opening being provided for the pump neck.

If the pump neck of the pump is rotated eccentrically with respect to the pump chamber axis, it always has room in the hood opening to protrude under the hood and to be covered by it. This is particularly advantageous if the driven gear, e.g. B. is mounted for a driving toothed belt. This toothed belt can be tensioned in that the pump neck with the driven wheel can be rotated eccentrically with respect to the pump chamber axis and can change its position in relation to the toothed belt to tension the same. In this case too, the driven gear with the toothed belt should be under the hood. The hood has the general purpose of possibly covering the pump neck with the driven gear and the toothed belt, so that it is inadvertently impossible to intervene in the parts mentioned or dirt, such as. B. dust, stones or oil can penetrate to the parts mentioned or the pump neck and thus can impair the operation of the parts mentioned and also the pump itself. Finally, the hood also serves to soundproof the pump or the parts arranged on it or on its neck.

Since the pump neck is arranged eccentrically with respect to the pump chamber axis and can be freely rotated in the hood opening, the hood opening will always have to be larger than the pump neck itself, so that there is always a correspondingly large free space between the pump neck and the hood opening.

The invention has for its object to also close the free space between the pump neck and the hood opening, so that no further impairments can penetrate here, in particular no dust, stones or oil, and that here too there is sound shielding, while nevertheless the eccentric rotatability of the pump neck in the hood opening should be possible.

This object is achieved in that a base plate with a neck opening for the pump neck in the same eccentric position relative to the pump chamber axis as the pump neck is rotatably arranged about the same in the hood opening. The neck opening can now be selected as closely as the outer contour of the pump neck. Since it is in the same eccentric position with respect to the pump chamber axis as the pump neck, the pump neck can be rotated eccentrically around the pump chamber axis as before, whereby the base plate with the neck opening in the hood opening can follow it.

It is preferred that the hood opening and the base plate are round and are arranged concentrically to the pump chamber axis, the base plate lying in the hood opening between a lower lip and an upper lip. In this case, the base plate between the lower and the upper lip is guided round in a groove between them, the round guide being concentric to the pump chamber axis, that is to say corresponding to the rotational movement about the same. Since the pump neck is also rotated about the pump chamber axis, the neck opening in the base plate can exactly follow the rotary movement of the pump neck.

In order to be able to bring the base plate between the lower and the upper lip, it is preferred that a cutout with a step is provided in the outer edge of the base plate and a recess is provided in the lower lip. The step can then first be introduced into the recess in the lower lip, otherwise space is given between the base plate and the lower lip due to the cutout in the base plate. Then the base plate can be screwed in with the step between the lower and the upper lip until the entire circumferential edge of the base plate is accommodated between the lower and the upper lip.

The selected cross section runs along the pump chamber axis 22 and the shaft axis or shaft opening axis 21, which runs parallel to it but is objected to by the eccentricity distance 24. The pump chamber 12 is left in the motor block 11. The pump chamber 12 has the round pump wall 23 against which the round pump housing plate 10 bears. The pump housing plate 10 is sealed with the seal 9 with respect to the motor block 11. The pump housing plate 10 can thus be rotated on the pump wall 23 in the pump chamber 12 about the pump chamber axis 22. The pump neck 8 protrudes outwards, in the figure upwards, from the pump housing plate 10. A shaft 7 is mounted in the pump neck 8 and the rotor 6 in the pump chamber 12 the pump carries. On the pump neck 8, ie outside the same, the shaft 7 carries the driven wheel 5, on which the belt 4, in particular a toothed belt, runs. In addition, the hood 2 with the lid 1 is arranged. A foam rubber 19 is provided between the cover 1 and the hood 2; it should be noted that the cover 1 only completes the hood 2, that is to say that the cover 1 is in itself part of the hood 2 or the hood 2 conceptually encompasses the cover 1. The pump neck 8, the driven wheel 5 and the belt 4 are thus covered by the hood 2 with the cover 1 in a manner known per se. The hood opening 26 known per se is provided between the pump neck 8 and the hood 2. According to the invention, the base plate 3, which has a neck opening 17 for the pump neck 8, now lies in this hood opening 26. The neck opening 17 is flush with the pump neck 8, and the base plate 3 is also flush on its circumference with the groove between the lower lip 15 and the upper lip 16 at the edge of the hood opening 26.

In Fig. 2 the shape of the base plate can be clearly seen in plan view. The neck opening 17 for the pump neck lies eccentrically in the round sheet metal 3, which is concentric with the pump chamber axis 22. The neck opening 17 has a collar 20 in order to enlarge the contact surface between the base plate 3 and the pump neck 8. A cutout 25 is provided on the circumference of the base plate 3 and is terminated by a step 13.

In FIG. 3 the base plate from FIG. 2 is shown in cross section along the section line 111-111. The stiffening bead 18 serves to stiffen the base plate 3 in a manner known per se.

The hood 2 is not completely round, but has two belt passages 27. At these points, the belt can enter the hood to the drive wheel, which cannot be seen. This is known per se. The recess 14 is indicated in the lower lip 15, which is however covered by the cover 1 and the upper lip 16. The recess 14 means a section in the lower lip 15 which extends to the bottom of the groove between the lower lip 15 and the upper lip 16.

In this recess 14, the base plate 3 can be inserted with the step 13 and finally screwed completely between the lower lip 15 and the upper lip 16 and thus inserted. As a result, the base plate 3 then lies with its outer edge completely between the lower lip 15 and the upper lip 16. The base plate can then be rotated between the lips, even if only by overcoming a clamping friction.

This ensures a tight seal between the hood opening and the pump neck, although the pump neck can be moved eccentrically in the hood opening in a manner known per se.

The channel between the lower lip 15 and the upper lip 16 in the hood opening 26 can be clearly seen.
