Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a contact device with a plunger which is longitudinally displaceable in the housing against the force of a compression spring and which has one or more recesses, a contact bridge with movable contact pieces and a contact pressure spring projecting on both sides of the recess being arranged in each recess, and wherein the movable contact pieces cooperate with the formation of openers and / or closers with fixed contact pieces, a component cooperating with the contact bridge being provided in such a way that positive opening of adhesive or welded contacts between the movable and fixed contact pieces is ensured.
Contact devices of this type can be found in practice in many switchgear with a wide variety of designs and uses. The limit switches manufactured in large numbers in practice should be mentioned here only as an example. These contact devices have in common that there is either a tappet, which is actuated either by hand or usually by machine, and which simultaneously serves as a contact bridge support. In some switching devices, only one contact bridge is present, while in other switching devices, several contact bridges are provided one above the other and / or next to one another. For reasons of switching reliability, the actuation stroke of the plunger or contact bridge support must be greater than the working stroke of the contact bridges with the movable contact pieces. In addition, the contact pressure between the movable and fixed contact pieces can not correspond to the actuating force that acts on the plunger. For this reason, a pressure spring is present in the known contact devices, which returns the plunger to its rest position after it has been actuated and holds it there, and on the other hand, a contact pressure spring is inserted into a recess in the plunger for each contact bridge with the latter. These springs precisely determine the required and desired contact pressure. Each contact bridge is thus held in the recess of the plunger so that it can move under the pressure of the contact pressure spring. This results in the following disadvantage. During the switching operations, arcing or overheating in places at the contact points between the movable and the fixed contact pieces can occur, which can lead to the contact pieces sticking or even being welded in places. As a result, when the plunger is actuated, one or the other movable contact piece can get stuck and either the contact does not open at all or only after the contact bridge has been covered over a larger part of the working stroke, the contact bridge being inclined and finally the tearing of the adhesive or weld. For the reasons explained above, there is therefore insufficient switching reliability of the known contact devices.
A special contact device explained at the beginning in a constructive design as an electrical snap switch is known from DE-B-1 935 225. In this construction, swivel levers are pivoted on both sides of the actuating plunger by means of pins in the housing of the snap switch. The ends of the pivot levers pointing towards the actuating plunger can engage in recesses in the actuating plunger, the recesses being delimited by inclined surfaces. The pivoting of the pivoting levers takes place in such a way that the ends of the pivoting levers first move in the depressions when the actuating plunger is actuated, but then abut the inclined surfaces. As a result of the pivoting movement caused thereby, the other ends of the pivoting lever come into contact with the contact bridge. As a result, with further movement of the actuating plunger, the contact pads of the contact bridge are separated from the fixed contact pieces. In the case of adhering or welded contacts, a separation is inevitable. The forced separation, he f order- union forces are in this case act relatively close to the contact points on the movable contact parts. By mounting the pivot lever by means of fixed pivot pins in the housing, there is a reversal of movement, ie the lever ends acting on the contact bridge move in the opposite direction to the actuating plunger, which also moves the contact bridge in the opposite direction. This reversal of the direction of movement is in line with the movement conditions of the snap switch, triggered by the three-part structure of the contact bridge, each with middle and two outer tongues. The direction of movement would also be reversed in the case of a rigid contact bridge. In addition, considerable play is provided in the known construction and is also necessary until the contacts are forcibly separated. This can result in unfavorable larger inclinations of the contact bridge from one end to the other. Finally, the contacts are only forcibly separated for the normally closed contacts, but not for the later opening of the normally open contacts.
Another contact device of the type explained at the beginning is known from EP-A-0 050 675. With this construction sit on the two out of the recess of the plunger Genden contact bridge parts, the components in the form of outwardly trapezoidal tapered blocks which are pivotable in a small angular range to the direction of displacement of the plunger, with a projection being provided on the inside of each block, which engages in the recess. The inclined surfaces of the trapezoidal blocks interact with the inner edges and / or inclined surfaces of the housing in such a way that each projection comes out of engagement with the recess after part of the displacement path of the plunger. The main advantage of this contact device is that the positive opening of the contacts takes place practically without delay, ie without any major play beforehand. It is also achieved that the respective direction of movement of each contact bridge corresponds to the direction of movement of the plunger.
The invention has for its object to provide a contact device while maintaining the previously explained advantages, which requires very little material and manufacturing costs and is particularly suitable for mass production.
The object is achieved in that the component is designed as a U-shaped bracket and is inserted with its web between the contact bridge and the contact pressure spring, and that the legs of the bracket and stepped extensions in the adjacent housing surfaces are designed such that the bracket and the contact bridge is forcibly carried along by this over a first part of the stroke of the plunger and the legs of the bracket spread outward over the further part of the stroke and release the plunger.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims.

- Fig. 2 shows a cross section through the plunger along the section line 11-11 in Fig. 1 and
- Fig. 3 shows a longitudinal section corresponding to Figure 1, however, the actuating position is shown.
The contact device shown in simplified form in the drawing as an exemplary embodiment has a housing 1 and a
In a
In the
In the area between the
The operation of the contact device explained above is essentially as follows.
If the
It should be expressly noted here that the housing construction explained above can also be carried out differently. For example, the housing can also consist of two other halves or housing parts which are formed by parting planes perpendicular to the image plane or parallel to the image plane according to FIGS. 1 and 3. Furthermore, the power connection rails 3, 4, 9 and 10 can be designed differently, for. B. after the two opposite side faces and be provided with contact terminal screws. In the exemplary embodiment explained above, only one
In the exemplary embodiment explained above, the housing 1 has a
In the above description, a distinction was made between
