Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a foldable deck chair according to the preamble of the main claim.
Collapsible seating furniture is widely used and known in the camping and hunting sector and also serves as transportable spectator seats for sporting events, for example.
Such seating is described in its basic structure in DE-GM 79 13 089 and this known seating consists of a plurality of interconnected rods made of wood, plastic or metal, the rods forming several stiff individual Fachwe ken. The usable area, i.e. a seat, a backrest or the like can be used, with the known seating furniture this usable area being formed by gratings which increase the stability of the entire chair.
In many areas of today's leisure offer a collapsible deck chair would be of great importance, this deck chair would have to be collapsible so small that it can be easily transported on a bicycle, so that cycle hikers, drivers and the like. The like. The possibility is given, for example on a campground or the like. To build up a high-comfort deck chair, but as little as possible when not in use Requires space.
The object of the invention is to create a deck chair that can be collapsed to the smallest dimensions.
This problem is solved by the features of the characterizing part of the main claim.
The invention is based on the consideration that the longest bar for forming a deck chair is the back bar and on this basis it is proposed that armrest bars must be connected to this back bar, which, since they must have a relatively large length in a deck chair, in two parts seen their longitudinal axis are formed and are firmly connected to each other via a joint bearing. This armrest bar is supported by support bars, which again consist of two individual bars, which are articulated and thus firmly connected to one another and which support the individual bars of the armrest bars in a supportive manner. The foremost single bar of the armrest bar is carried by a front bar, which is supported at its other end, ie the lower end, at the outer end of the front single bar of the support bars. In this way, a side support element is created, which essentially consists of the back bar, the armrest bars, the front bar and the support bars, this side support element now combined with another side support element forming a frame into which the actual cloth seat of the deck chair can be inserted ; the connection of the side support elements are made using cross strips, which not only have the task of carrying the fabric seat, but also fulfill the task of keeping the side support elements at a distance and locking them against each other.
In addition, lateral and front and rear reinforcing struts can be provided in the lower region of the frame formed in this way, which are also designed to be foldable and thus do not interfere with the folding of the deck chair.
If the deck chair is to be folded up, the cloth seat with the cross bars is detached from the two side support elements, the two side support elements are folded together and the entire deck chair now only consists of the support frame folded up in the smallest space, which is formed by the side support bars and a kit consisting of a cloth seat and crossbars. Both parts can be stored in a simple bag that can be kept so small that it can be transported on a bicycle.
