These cutter bars 29 are, as can be seen in FIG. 2, by means of a clamping wedge 30 which has a pull rod 32 below it The effect of a spring assembly 33 is clampable in the longitudinal recess 1a. The pull rod 32 carries at its end facing away from the clamping wedge 30 a piston 34 which is guided in a cylinder piece 35 and can be acted upon by a pressure medium via a feed line 36 in a manner not shown. When the piston 34 is acted upon by the pressure medium, the tensioning wedge 30 is brought out of tension against the action of the spring assembly 33 and the knife bar 29 can slide in the longitudinal recess 1a. If the holding surfaces 27a of the stop pieces 27 act on the two end faces 29a of the cutter bar 29 in the manner shown in FIG. 1, the cutter bar 29 remains in the position shown while the cutterhead 1 when the motor 40 is actuated by the spindle 20 via the cylinder sleeve 14 and the latter Inner ring collar 14a is displaced axially in the direction of the arrows V in one direction or the other. The displacement path is shown by the actuating arm 21 on the scale (not shown), and the device can then, after the knife bar 29 has been clamped in the longitudinal recess 1a with the aid of the clamping wedge 30 and the spring assembly 33, by retracting the locking cam 23 into a hole in the Perforated disk 24 can be locked. Claims (6)

1. Device for the setting of the blade gap at drum shears, the blade drums (1, 2) of which sit firmly on a carrier shaft pair (3, 4) with helically toothed drive wheels (5, 6) and display longitudinal recesses (1a) for the reception of blade bars (29), which are displaceable therein and clampable fast with the aid of pressure-loadable fastening elements (32, 34, 35) engaging at clamping wedges (30), in which the spigot (3b), which is remote from that spigot (3a) of the carrier shaft (3), which carries the drive wheel (5), is connected with an axial displacement drive arranged in the carrier frame (9) of the drum shears, characterised by retaining abutments which are arranged in the carrier frame (9) and fix the blade bars (29) in their position relative to the axial displacement during an axial displacement of the carrier shaft (3) with the blade drum (1).
2. Device according to claim 1, characterised thereby, that the retaining abutments in the region of the end faces (29a) of the blade bars (29) display extendable and retractable abutment members (27) acting on the latter.

Device according to claim 2, characterised thereby, that the abutment members (27) are displaceable in guides arranged in the crossbeam (9a) of the carrier frame (9) and driven by piston- cylinder units arranged on the crossbeam (9a) and display mutually facing retaining surfaces (27a) inclined slightly to the vertical.

Device according to one or more of the claims 1 to 3, characterised thereby, that the axial displacement device consists of a cylinder sleeve (14), which is displaceable in the manner of a piston in the carrier frame (9) in axial direction of the carrier shaft (3) by a spindle (20) and displays an internal annular flange (14a), which is connectable with a spigot projection (12) of the carrier shaft (3), wherein a fixable setting arm (21) sits on the spindle (20).
5. Device according to claim 4, characterised thereby, that a setting indicator scale is associated with the setting arm (21).
6. Device according to the claims 4 and/or 5, characterised thereby, that the setting arm (21) displays a detent dog (23), which is extendable into the retractable out of holes in a hole disc (24).
