Abstract

The invention relates to a method for galvanic Ab divorce hard, tarnish resistant, glossy white, nickel and cobalt-containing coatings by means of aqueous, acidic, metal ions and boric acid as well as an aliphatic additive Aldehyde and an aromatic carbonyl compound and if necessary. Baths containing wetting agents, characterized in that is that you have aqueous, nickel, cobalt and chloride ions as well Solutions containing boric acid with a pH of 3.8 to 4.2, and a nickel, / cobalt ion ratio of 8: 1 to 20: 1, an aqueous solution of an ali phatic aldehyde and an aromatic, water-soluble Carbonyl compound in a ratio of 20: 1 to 50: 1 sets, layers containing nickel and cobalt at a tem temperature from 50 to 55 ° C and a cathodic current density up to 7A · dm⁻² using nickel and cobalt metal in a weight ratio of 5: 1 to 10: 1 as an anode measure material suitable for galvanic nickel plating materials and the contents if necessary of the components in the bathroom solutions by resharpening with suitable additional solutions to the specified values sets.
