Abstract

A money box arrangement particularly for use in the cashier's stations of department stores, on bank counters or the like is proposed. This money box arrangement in particular will make possible a simple and secure carrying of the money between the cashier's station and a central cash office. It comprises a cash insert (10) which can be taken out of the cashbox (4) of a cash register (2), a portable strongbox (12) for receiving the cash insert (10) as well as other reserve money not located in this place, and moreover comprises a cover (14) which can serve for closing off the cash insert (10) and for closing off the portable strongbox (12). This arrangement makes it possible for the change in the cash insert (10) and the reserve money to be carried securely between the cashier's station and the central cash office. Since the reserve money is generally accounted for every night but the change can be stored without accounting for the next day, the further capability exists of closing off the cash insert (10) containing the change with the lid (10) and storing this unit, which is substantially smaller than the portable strongbox (12), in the night safe.

Description

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Geldkassettenanordnung der im Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1 genannten Art.The invention relates to a cash cassette arrangement of the type mentioned in the preamble of claim 1.

Cash registers of large department stores, bank counters or the like are generally all organized in the same way. At the beginning of a business day, the cashier receives a certain amount of loose change, i.e. Coins and banknotes, as well as a further supply of money, which consists of bundled notes and / or coins combined into rolls. At the end of the business day, the cashier brings the contents of the cash register, which in turn comprises a certain amount of change as well as bundled or bundled reserve money, to the checkout center for settlement.

It is common practice for the cashier to use a separate cassette for transporting the money from the cash center to the cash desk and back, which can hold the change and the reserve money in a common or in separate compartments. The change is then sorted into the cash drawer at the cash desk, while the reserve money generally remains in the cassette. In the evening, the money in the cash drawer is inserted into the cassette and brought to the cash register. This procedure is cumbersome and unsafe, since the transfer from the cassette into the cash drawer and back takes some time and because money can be lost during this process. In addition, each time the cashier leaves his cash desk, it is necessary for the cassette containing the reserve money to be taken along or locked, since this would otherwise be subject to third-party access. A cash cassette arrangement is already known in which the cash drawer itself also serves as a cassette for transporting the money between the cash desk and the cash center (brochure from ADS Anker GmbH, No. 40-020, 7.83). In this solution, the cash drawer is structurally separate from the cash register and is only connected to it via control lines. It has the form of a lockable cassette, the lid of which is actuated by a closing and opening mechanism controlled by the cash register. In this cash drawer, a cash insert for receiving the hard cash can be hung, with space for receiving the bank notes remaining below this hard cash insert. For the transport to the cash register, the control line, for example connected to the cash drawer via a plug, is released, so that the entire cash drawer can be carried away. A disadvantage of this arrangement is that the cash drawer is very heavy because of its structure, which also includes the closing and opening mechanism for the lid. Another disadvantage is seen in the fact that in general every cashier has his own transport cassette, which is only accessible to him with a personal key, since at least the change is not settled every day, but remains in the cashier's transport cassette overnight. This means that in the known solution, each cashier must be assigned his own cash drawer, which is expensive because of the closing and opening mechanism and the associated control elements. In addition, the well-known cash drawer is large and bulky; because the cash register because of the change remaining in them z. B. must be kept at night in a safe, especially in large department stores with a large number of cashiers sometimes used in shift work, a correspondingly large safe room is required.

It is the object of the invention to provide a cash cassette arrangement of the generic type which is simple and inexpensive in construction and safe to use and which, compared to the known solution, requires the smallest possible space for night storage.

This object is achieved by the features contained in the characterizing part of claim 1. Accordingly, the actual cash drawer is, in a known manner, an integral part of the cash register or the cash register, so that this complex and expensive component only has to be provided in a number corresponding to the number of cash registers but not to the number of cashiers. To transport the money from the cash desk to the cash register, the cashier removes the cash drawer from the cash drawer and inserts it into the transport safe belonging to it, which also contains the reserve money, puts the lid on and closes it with his personal key. In the cash register, he takes the till with the change that cannot be charged, closes it with his lid and deposits this small, compact container in the night safe; The easy-to-settle reserve money, which is bundled into bundles or rolls, and which largely consists of the daily income, is delivered to the cash register, so that the transport safe is empty and can be stored anywhere. The next morning, the cashier takes out his personal till, puts it in any transport safe and closes both with his personal lid after depositing the reserve money.

In a configuration of the invention it is provided that the transport safe is designed as a box open at the top, and that the cash insert, which has a lower height than the transport safe, can be used in the transport safe in such a way that a space for receiving the reserve money remains underneath the cash register. For this purpose, support stands are provided in the transport safe at a distance from the floor thereof, onto which the cash register insert is placed. Cashier use is preferred formed as a shell open at the top, the upper edge of which rests essentially over its entire circumference on the inner upper edge region of the transport safe. The checkout therefore closes the space used to hold the reserve money in the manner of a cover; the cashier is in turn completed at least in the area of the hard money compartments by the actual cover of the arrangement, so that the two cash areas are separated from one another and, for example, also in the case of transporter shocks or the like. the change and the reserve money cannot mix.

In a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that the lid has an edge which is bent down substantially over its entire circumference and which overlaps the upper edge region of the cash insert and that the outer contour of the lid edge is essentially flush with the outer contour of the transport safe. Together with the lid, the transport safe forms a visually appealing, smooth body without annoying projections.

In order to secure the cash deposit from the transport safe containing the reserve money at the cash desk after removal of the cash insert, in a further embodiment of the invention it is provided that locking means are provided on the transport safe, which are arranged with locking means arranged at a predetermined parking space for the purpose of fixing the transport safe on this parking space work together. According to the invention, these locking means comprise a mushroom-shaped peg which is arranged on the parking space and projects inward through the bottom of the transport safe, and a tab or the like which is displaceably arranged on the inside of the floor of the transport safe and which engages under the head of the peg in its closed position. Since the tab is arranged inside the transport safe, which can be closed by the cover, it does not need to be lockable by a key.

Further advantages and features of the invention result from the patent claims, the drawing and the description of the drawing. An embodiment of the invention is shown in this drawing and described in more detail below. Show it:
  • Figure 1 is a perspective view of the individual components of the overall arrangement.
  • Figure 2 is a side sectional view of a transport safe with inserted cash register and attached lid.
  • FIG. 3 shows the cash register insert according to FIG. 2 with the cover attached; FIG.
  • Fig. 4 is a partially sectioned front view of a transport safe according to FIG. 2 with an illustration of the locking means.

This consists of a drawer 6, which is normally inserted into the housing of the cash drawer 4 and is closed by a cover 8. For a checkout process, the drawer 6 can be made accessible by at least partially extending it and opening the flap 8, as shown in FIG. 1.

In the drawer 6 there is a till insert 10 which is suitably divided into individual compartments for holding paper money and hard money. This cash register insert can be removed from the drawer 6 for the purpose of being transported and inserted into a transport safe 12. In Fig. 1, below, the till 10 is shown in dashed lines. In the interior of the transport safe 12, support stands 54 (FIGS. 2, 4) are mounted on the side walls thereof, on which the till insert 10 is seated. Below the cash insert 10 inserted in the transport safe 12 there remains a space for receiving, for example, bundled or rolled up storage money.

Ein Schloss 16 dient zum diebessicheren Abschließen des Deckels 14.The transport safe 12 can be closed by a cover 14 which can be placed thereon. A lock 16 is used to securely lock the lid 14.

As can be seen in particular from FIG. 1, below, the upper edge of the cash register insert 10 lies essentially over its entire circumference on the inner, upper edge region of the transport safe 12, so that the opening of the transport safe is closed by the cash register insert. Since the opening contours of the transport safe 12 and the till insert 10 are essentially congruent in this way, the cover 14 can also serve to close the till insert 10, as has already been described in the introduction.

As can be seen from FIG. 2, the till insert 10 is on its outer rear side with a recess. Mungen 22 provided that are aligned with recesses 22 'formed on the upper edge region 18 of the transport safe 12 when the cash insert 10 is in the transport safe 12. Protrusions 24 formed on the rear edge of the cover 26 engage into the recesses 22 through the recesses 22 '.

The front lid edge 28 has approximately the profile of an open box in cross section. This on the one hand increases the strength of the lid, and on the other hand this box also serves to accommodate the lock 16. This comprises a bolt 34 which is pivotably mounted in the direction of arrow 30 in a recess in a support bracket 31 and is loaded by a compression spring 32 in the opening direction, which can be pressed into its closed position by a lock lever 36 which can be actuated by means of a key, as need not be explained in more detail. The support bracket 31 is attached with its first leg on the inside of the front lid edge 28 so that its second Leg runs parallel to the upper cover surface of the cover 14. When the cover 14 is placed on the transport safe 12, the second leg of the support bracket 31 is supported on the front upper edges of the transport safe 12 and the till insert 10. In its closed position, the latch 34 engages under a projection 37 provided on the front of the till insert 10, which is formed by a nose 38 projecting from the front.

The front wall 40 of the transport safe 12 is provided with an inwardly stepped step 42, the depth of which corresponds approximately to the depth of the box profile of the front lid edge 28. This shape makes it possible to design the outer contour of the cover 14 in its overlap region to be flush with the wall of the transport safe 12.

As can also be seen in FIG. 2, the latch 34 extends through a recess 44 formed in the front wall 40 of the transport safe 12 and in this way locks the cover 14 also with respect to the transport safe 12. The cover 14 can therefore be used to close the transport safe 12 alone , the transport safe with inserted cash register 10 and for closing the cash register 10 alone. This latter configuration is shown in FIG. 3, in which the parts that are the same as FIG. 2 are provided with the same reference numerals.

To secure the transport safe 12 in its predetermined parking space, locking means 46 are used. These comprise, on the one hand, a mushroom-shaped protruding from the storage surface 48 and projecting inwards through the bottom of the transport safe 12 Pin 50 and, on the other hand, a tab 52 slidably arranged on the inside of the safe bottom, which engages under the head of the pin 50 in a closed position, but releases this head in an open position. Since the tab 52 is arranged inside the transport safe 12, it can only be actuated after the lockable cover 14 has been removed, so that a separate, lockable lock for this tab is not required.
