Abstract

An improved device for separating out single coins from a collective plurality of coins solves the problem of separating stacked coins, namely two or three coins lying one upon the other with their total thickness being smaller than or equal to that of the thickest coin. In accordance with the device, to separate the coins, a second coin stripping arm (15) embodied by a narrow and thin guide finger (16) is provided downstream of a first coin stripper (14), considered in the direction of rotation (Arrow 5) of the coin disc (3), the first coin stripper (14) being adjusted to the thickness of the thickest coin, and the guide finger (16) projecting beyond the disc outer edge and guiding the respective underlying coins (11) on the coin disc (3) directly into a guideway (8) above which a first conveyor belt (12) is disposed. Another conveyor belt (18) extending parallel to the first conveyor belt (12) runs above the guide finger (16) and pulls off any overlying coins (11) which rest on those coins (11) which lie directly on the coin disc (3) thereby returning those overlying coins to the coin disc (3). The guide finger (16) co-operates with a crescent-shaped spring-biased pivot or ball closing element (25) by which the entrance (7) is opened at every instance only to an extent permitting a single coin to pass along the front edge (17) of the guide finger (16) into the guideway (8).

Description

The invention relates to a separating device for coins according to the preamble of claim 1. This is used for double coins, ie. H. in the case of thin coins placed two or three times one above the other, push the upper coin or the upper coins off the lower coin. Such double coins can indeed pass the first coin stripper arm if their total thickness is less than the thickness of the thickest coin. However, the second coin stripper arm must ensure that double coins are separated with certainty.

Ferner hat sich gezeigt, daß der zweite Münzabstreiferarm leicht verschleißt und verklemmtIn a separating device known from DE 29 12 016, the second coin stripper arm is pivotably arranged above the coin plate and is formed from two spring parts that act under spring action. Thus, the second coin stripper arm is complex and expensive to manufacture, in particular a complex adjustment of the second coin stripper arm is necessary. This must be designed differently for each coin collective and adapted to this. It has also been shown that the second coin stripper arm wears out easily and jams

In the non-generic coin transfer device according to DE 32 44 292 A1, the coin plate is structurally modified in such a way that it has an inner plate and an outer plate with an annular boundary wall located therebetween. This has a height that is slightly smaller than the thickness of the coins to be separated. Double coins on the inner plate are thrown outwards onto the outer plate by the centrifugal force of the coin plate. The separated coins are removed from the inner plate by means of an elaborate, bridge-like coin transfer, the coin transfer bridging the outer plate. After the coin transfer, the coins are returned from the outer plate to the inner plate by means of a guide body. In addition to the structurally complex change of the coin plate, the capacity of the coin plate is also limited, and if the outer plate is overfilled, double coins can no longer be flung from the inner plate to the outside. Furthermore, the bridge-like Coins transfer is complex, especially since the home must be listed l ente serial structurally complex this.

Finally, DE 21 20 353 discloses a non-generic separating device for coins, in which the coins withdrawn from the coin plate behind the first coin stripping arm by means of a first conveyor belt are guided against the guide rail of the guideway and are taken over there by a second conveyor belt assigned to the guideway. Immediately next to the coin plate, a flat step is formed in the guide rail, the height of which is approximately equal to half the height of the thinnest coin. Immediately after the step, i.e. H. A dropout opening is provided outside the guardrail. Thus, outside of the coin plate, those coins can be sorted out into the exit opening which lie above the coins guided against the guide rail. Only these are fed from a transfer roller to the second conveyor belt. With this separating device, the double coins fed to the exit opening must be placed again on the coin plate for separating. This means that double coins issued continuously from the opening must be returned to the coin plate.

The invention has for its object to develop a separating device of the generic type in such a way that a separation of double coins on the coin plate is possible with low construction costs and components that are as simple to manufacture as possible, in particular unsorted mixed coins of several coin collectives, i.e. H. Coins of different diameters and thicknesses can be separated.

The solution to this problem results from the characterizing features of claim 1. With the narrow and thin guide finger, an easy-to-manufacture and easy-to-assemble component is created, which can be used without the need for adjustment work for the safe separation of double coins even when unsorted mixed coins from different coin collectives, d. H. Coins of different diameters and thicknesses must be separated. The narrow and thin guide finger guides the lower coin on the coin plate, which runs along the guide finger, into the guideway on which the coin is taken over and transported by the conveyor belt located there. All the coins located above the coins touching the guide finger are withdrawn from the lower coin by means of the second conveyor belt arranged above the guide finger and conveyed back onto the coin plate via the narrow and thin guide fingers.

In contrast to the known second coin stripper arms, which are arranged at a distance from and above the coin plate, which hold the upper coins in each case and let them pass behind the lower coin or return them to the coin plate, the narrow and thin guide finger arranged directly above the coin plate guides in each case remove the lower coin and feed it to the inlet into the guideway, whereas the upper coins are conveyed further on the coin plate in the direction of movement of the coin plate by means of the second conveyor belt arranged above it.

So there is absolute security against that Occurrence of double coins in the inlet of the guideway. The separation of the double coins is also carried out directly on the coin plate, so that, in contrast to the known separation of the double coins after leaving the coin plate, there is a significant advantage that the coins are not fed back to the coin plate manually or by special mechanical devices from a dropout opening have to.

The thickness of the guide finger is smaller than the thickness of the thinnest coin and is in particular about 1 mm. The guide finger is made of high-strength, wear-resistant steel sheet. The guide finger is preferably directed at an acute angle against the radius of the coin plate in the direction of the inlet and is designed as an angled extension of the guide rail of the guideway. This enables the coins to be conveniently derived from the coin plate by means of the guide finger, as a result of which the coins are simultaneously conveyed to the guide rail of the guideway.

It is already known from DE 11 99 528 an extension of the guide rail protruding over the coin plate. However, the guideway is directed radially to the coin plate, the extension of the guide rail only having the task of guiding the coins away from the coin plate and guiding them into the radially adjoining guideway. Since with such a device only one type of coin, i.e. H. Coins of the same diameter and thickness are counted, and by setting the first coin stripper arm to the thickness of the coins no double coins can occur, the problem of the double coin does not exist.

The coin separating device comprises a frame 1 with a base plate 2 as the top. A horizontal coin plate 3 with an axis 4 perpendicular to the drawing plane of FIG. 1 is rotatably mounted on this in the plane of the base plate 2 in the direction of the arrow 5 and is surrounded by a plate collar 6 fixedly attached to the base plate 2 and having a recess in the area of the inlet 7 includes in the guideway 8. A conveyor belt 12 extends along the guideway 8 at a small angle against the guiding edge 9 of a guide rail 10 for the coins 11, which conveyor belt is guided in the region of the inlet 7 into the guideway 8 around a deflection roller 13 which can be pivoted on one above the base plate 2 hinged, not shown bracket is stored.

In front of the inlet 7 into the guideway 8, a coin wiper arm 14, which is adjustable in height but is fixed during operation, extends above the coin plate 3, the lower edge 14 'of which is arranged at a distance from the surface of the coin plate 3 which is somewhat larger than that Thickness of the thickest coin 11. The coin stripper arm 14 runs essentially parallel to the guide track 8. It has a guide plate 14 ″ for forming a guide channel which ends shortly before a coin guide nose 6 ′ which is approximately aligned with the guide edge 9.

A second coin stripper arm 15 is arranged between the first coin stripper arm 14 and the inlet 7 into the guideway 8. This is designed as a narrow and thin guide finger 16, the thickness of which is smaller than the thickness of the thinnest coin 11, the thickness of the guide finger 16 preferably being approximately 1 mm. The guide finger 16 is arranged directly above the coin plate 3 and is formed as an extension of the guide rail 10 of the guideway 8. The guide finger 16 projects essentially radially over the coin plate 3, but preferably at an acute angle α against the radius of the coin plate 3, the guide finger 16 being pivoted by the angle α in the direction of the egg run 7 of the guide track 8. The guide finger 16 is fixedly attached to the guide rail 10, its front edge 17 merges directly into the guide edge 9 for the coins 11. The free end of the guide finger 16 protrudes approximately below the first coin stripper arm 14. Immediately below the guide finger 16, the coin plate 3 runs freely beneath it. Above the guide finger 16, a second conveyor belt 18 is arranged essentially parallel to the conveyor belt 12, which rotates above the guide track 8. The conveyor belt 18 runs around a deflection roller 19 which is also mounted above the inlet 7 on the bracket (not shown in more detail) which is pivotably articulated on the base plate 2.

In the inlet 7 there is also a closure 20 which adjusts the width of the inlet 7 to the diameter of the coins 11 and which consists of a lever arm 22, which is pivotable about a shaft 23 which is fixed to the housing, and which adjusts the width of the inlet 7 this is formed articulated about the axis 24 crescent-shaped closure element 25.

The function of the coin separating device described above is explained in more detail below.

When the coin plate 3 rotates in the direction of the arrow 5 about the axis 4, the coins 11 are guided in the direction of the inlet 7 of the guideway 8. By means of the first coin stripper arm 14, the lower edge 14 'of which is set at a distance from the thickest coin 11 from the coin plate 3, such double coins are already used zen separated out, the total thickness of which is greater than the thickness of the thickest coin 11. Here double coins are referred to as double or triple superimposed coins, the total thickness of which is smaller than the thickness of the thickest coin. Such double coins run after passing the first coin stripper arm 14 against the second coin stripper arm 15, which is formed by the narrow and thin guide finger 16. Along the front edge 17 of the guide finger 16, the coins 11 of a double coin lying below are conveyed into the inlet 7 of the guideway 8, which takes place first under the effect of the centrifugal force of the coin plate 3 and then under the action of the lower run of the conveyor belt 12. Any upper coin 11 lying on a coin 11 resting on the coin plate 3 cannot get into the inlet 7, since the thickness of the guide finger 16 is smaller than the thinnest coin. The upper coins 11 are drawn from the lower run of the second conveyor belt 18 over the guide finger 16 and fed back to the coin plate 3 in the direction of rotation (arrow 5). In this way, there is an absolutely safe separation of double coins with simple, non-wearing components, namely the guide finger 15 projecting freely over the coin plate 3, which is attached to the guide rail 10, and the conveyor belt 18 guided over the guide finger 16, the lower strand of which is directly above the surface of the guide finger 15 is aligned.

19 angebrachten Doppelpfeilen dargestelltBoth the conveyor belt 12 and the conveyor belt 18 running over the guide finger 16 are resiliently mounted on the bracket (not shown) and can thus relate their distance from the plane of the guide track 8 or the coin plate 3 to the thickness of the coins 11. adapt a double coin, in the latter case the upper coin being withdrawn from the coin 11 guided along the front edge 17 of the guide finger 16. The resilient movements of the conveyor belts 12 and 18 are shown in FIG. 2 with double arrows attached next to the deflection rollers 13 and 19, respectively

The angle α, by which the guide finger 16 is angled with respect to the radius of the coin plate 3, is between 20 and 30 °.

The closure element 25 interacts with the guide finger 16, as shown in FIGS. 4 to 6. The closure element 25 prevents several smaller-diameter coins 11 from entering the inlet 7 of the guideway 8 immediately behind a large-diameter coin 11. A coin 11 which runs along the front edge 17 of the guide finger 16 and has a large diameter can pivot the closure element 25, which rests against the arm 22 with a stop 29, together with the arm 22 in the clockwise direction, the circular-arc-shaped, convex outer side 28 of the closure element 25 slides along the coin 11. As soon as the large-diameter coin 11 has passed the tip 26 of the closure element 25 (FIG. 5), this snaps under the action of the tension spring 21 into the position shown in FIG. 6, the crescent-shaped recess 27 pushing the coin 11 against the front edge 17 of the Leitfingers 16 presses. Subsequent coins 11 of smaller diameter are derived from the outside 28 of the closure element 25 in the direction of the guide finger 16. Furthermore, the tip 26 prevents two coins 11 of smaller diameter from being able to get into the inlet 7 behind the coin 11 with a large diameter. In this way, the closure element 25, the arm 22 of which rests against a fixed stop 30 in the rest position (FIG. 4), works in an excellent manner together with the guide finger 16.
