Description

The present invention relates to a concrete security wall as it is used in particular in building a safe. Such walls, which can of course also be ceilings or floors, are intended to offer the highest possible level of security against break-ins, specifically against all security techniques, in particular blasting, drilling through with a crown drill or burning through with an oxygen lance.

It is known to increase the security or to make the break-in more difficult to use sandwich-like wall constructions in which concrete elements are combined with other elements, for example steel cladding. The effectiveness of such sandwich constructions is limited, however, because the individual layers can be separated from one another relatively easily, for example by blasting and in that each layer can be broken down using the most suitable technique.

The object of the present invention is to significantly increase the safety of a concrete wall with little additional material. The basic solution to this problem is that armored elements are cast into the concrete, each of which is surrounded on all sides by concrete, in such a way that a monolithic concrete structure is present. It becomes practically impossible to isolate individual parts of the wall and break through them separately.

The structure of the concrete safety wall and its effectiveness is explained in more detail below using an exemplary embodiment, of which the drawing shows a section through a wall piece.

The wall shown is a monolithic concrete structure, which has the usual static reinforcement 1 with transverse reinforcements or connecting reinforcements 2. Strip-shaped armor plates 3 made of manganese steel, alternately offset in the direction of the wall thickness, are cast approximately symmetrically to the center plane of the wall. These plates 3 have a thickness of 5 mm, for example, and they are offset from one another by 6-20 cm, depending on the wall thickness. With a wall thickness of 60 cm, for example, the offset can be 10 cm. In the longitudinal direction of the wall, armor elements 3 are practically seamless. In places, however, there may be a gap in the longitudinal direction of, for example, about 3 cm width for the passage of the transverse reinforcements 2 and the eventual passage of formwork ties, which are not shown in the drawing. In any case, however, the individual armor plates are surrounded on all sides by concrete, i.e. Concrete bridges are formed between the edges of the armored elements, which are approximately one behind the other in the direction of the wall thickness, and are partly solidified by the transverse reinforcement 2 and partly also by an assembly reinforcement. There is therefore a monolithic rigid concrete structure which is above all completely pressure-resistant, but also has a considerable tensile strength. The assembly reinforcement just mentioned has longitudinal bars 5, between which the armored elements 3 stand or lie and are thus secured. This assembly reinforcement is connected to the static reinforcement 1 by means of brackets 6. The mounting reinforcement also has reinforcing bars 7 running parallel to the armor plates 3.

As already mentioned, the concrete wall shown offers a high level of security against any of the usual burglary techniques. With a drill bit you can probably advance from the outside to one of the armor plates 3, but then the drill bit will grind on the high-strength steel plate fen, which will at least significantly delay further progress. When an oxygen lance is used, only a relatively small hole is burned in the armor plate 3, so that further dismantling of the concrete hardly takes place within the armor plate, because the material cannot flow off and the lance goes out. Even if the concrete is completely burned out, the remaining webs of the armor plate cannot be cut through before the concrete in front of it breaks out. The wall is difficult to blow through and can be destroyed to a sufficient extent.

In a variant, you can. the armor plates are provided on at least one side with a covering which develops gases and / or vapors which obstruct at least when exposed to heat. This measure would not only hinder and delay the break-in, but at the same time the covering is designed to be mechanically damping, as a result of which pressure waves are advantageously reflected in the explosion of explosive charges or bombs.

Other variants are possible. The armored elements can be designed, arranged and dimensioned differently. It is crucial that they are arranged in such a way that a monolithic concrete structure remains and that on the other hand they represent practically complete armor.
