Description

The invention relates to a hinge arrangement, in particular scissor-type bearings, on window frame hollow profiles, with a base plate which has holes for the passage of fastening screws and has bearing eyes between which the hinge axis extends for mounting the scissor arm which plunges through an opening into the hollow profile (DE -A-2801445).

In order to achieve a good fit of the casement in the window frame, it is necessary to fix the base plate carrying the scissor arm immovably and permanently. As a rule, it is not sufficient for the corresponding fastening screws to pass through only one chamber wall of the hollow profile. That is why they went the way to add a second chamber wall. It is also known to screw the fastening screws into the steel profiles inserted into the hollow profile (DE-A-1 810 224). However, the latter then have to be tailored accordingly, which proves to be complex.

The object of the invention is based on the object of designing a hinge arrangement of the presupposed type in such a way that an immovable and permanent fastening can be achieved in a simple manner.

This object is achieved in that the fastening screws pass through an abutment plate which is arranged on the inside of the hollow profile and is angled in through the opening and which forms a shoe extending into the opening.

Es lassen sich hierbei große Spannkräfte erzeugen ohne Gefahr zu laufen, daß die Schrauben « durchdrehen •.As a result of such a configuration, a generic hinge arrangement, in particular scissor stay, is created on window frame hollow profiles, which ensures a firm, immovable fit of the base plate and thus the bearing point for the scissor arm. It is not necessary to use a second chamber wall to hold the fastening screws. A steel insert does not need to be cut accordingly. The abutment plate, which is angled in through the opening anyway, now serves to hold and secure the position. Whose shoe reaches into the opening serves as a handle so that the abutment plate can be brought into its prescribed position, in which the drill holes of the abutment plate are aligned with the holes in the base plate for the passage of the fastening screws. With regard to the abutment plate plus shoe, it is an additional component that can be produced in a cost-saving manner using the stamping process. If the scissor bearing is used in the upper corner area of the window frame hollow profile, the abutment plate overlaps the miter joint and thus the inner bead formed during welding. The two fastening screws provided at one end of the base plate then enter the hollow profile on both sides of the bead and thus also into the abutment plate, the bead being able to serve as a support for the abutment plate. If fastening screws with self-tapping threads are used, the corresponding thread is created when they are screwed into the bore of the abutment plate and the base plate is pulled firmly against the stop surface of the hollow profile. Large clamping forces can be generated here without running the risk of the screws «spinning •.

An advantageous further development can be seen in the fact that the shoe comprises the lower region of a box of the base plate lining the opening. In this way, a positive connection is achieved, which increases the tight fit.

An easier insertion of the abutment plate is made possible in that the shoe has a U-web tapering backwards in a triangular shape.

Furthermore, it is favorable that the end of the abutment plate facing away from the shoe has a support lug angled in the direction of the base plate. This presses into the material of the hollow profile when the fastening screws are tightened, thereby contributing to stabilization.

The insertion of the abutment plate is further simplified in that a roof-shaped niche is provided on one longitudinal edge of the abutment plate, which is diagonally opposite the triangular tip of the U-web, the distance from the niche base to the triangular tip corresponding approximately to the width of the opening.

Technological advantages are achieved in that the rear narrow edges of the legs of the shoe lying outside the web side edges lie against the outer surface of the frame profile. This limits the insertion of the abutment.

Finally, it is also advantageous if the upper front edges of the U-legs jam to form the frame profile. After installation, the abutment plate therefore remains in its correct position. It also does not change its position when the base plate with box is used.

An embodiment of the invention is explained below with reference to FIGS. 1-6. It shows
  • 1 shows a section of a window frame corner with this associated scissor stay,
  • 2 is a perspective view of the abutment plate,
  • 3 shows the section along the line 111-111 in FIG. 1,

  • Fig. 5 shows the section along the line VV in Fig. 1 and
  • Fig.6 is a view of the window frame corner while angling the abutment plate.

Fig. 3.In the exemplary embodiment, the window frame 1 consists of a hollow plastic profile. The hollow profile is miter cut and welded in the area of the frame corners. After processing The outside of the window frame has weld beads on the inside of the hollow profile, see FIG. 3.

To accommodate a scissors-type bearing 2, the corresponding upper window frame corner is provided with an opening 3 created by milling. The width x of the opening corresponds to the width of a box 4, which starts from the back of a base plate 5 of the scissor bearing 2. Opposite to the box 4, two bearing eyes 6 are provided on the base plate 5 with a parallel spacing from one another, the bearing bore 7 of which accommodates a hinge axis, not shown, for mounting the scissor arm, not shown. The scissor arm, known per se, plunges into the inside of the box 4 and thus indirectly into the opening 3.

The elongated base plate 5 has two holes 8 on each side of the bearing eyes 6 for the passage of fastening screws 9. The same are equipped with a self-tapping thread. The fastening screws 9 running below the lower bearing eye 6 engage in a steel profile 10 which is inserted into a chamber 11 of the vertical hollow profile leg 1 'and extends approximately to the opening 3.

The fastening screws 9 located above the upper bearing eye 6 are held in an abutment plate 12. A connecting bracket 13 is bent at a right angle from the latter. This continues through a right-angled bend in a U-web 14, from which angled U-legs 15 extend in the direction of the abutment plate 12. The U-web 14 is such that it, viewed from the U-legs 15, runs backwards triangularly. The triangular tip 16 diagonally opposite is a roof-shaped niche 18 on one longitudinal edge 17 of the abutment plate 12. Then the end of the abutment plate 12 facing away from the shoe 14, 15 is provided with an angled support lug 19 which, when the abutment plate 12 is inserted, in the direction of the base plate 3 points. When the abutment plate 12 is installed, its bores 20 are aligned with the corresponding holes 8 in the base plate. The fastening screws 9 cut the thread into the holes 20 when reaching through these holes 20.

Between the one U-leg 15 and the connecting plate 13 lying in the same plane there is a gap 21, the width of which is greater than the thickness of the inner chamber wall 22, into which the opening 3 also projects.

Fig.5. Before attaching the scissor bearing 2, the abutment plate 12 is initially used. The shoe or its U-leg 15 serves as a handle here. The abutment plate 12 is angled into the opening 3, as can be seen in FIG. 6. It comes to such a position, the distance from the niche base 18 'to the triangular tip 16 corresponding approximately to the width x of the opening 3. This allows the abutment plate 12 to be completely angled. In the inserted position, the holes 20 are aligned with holes 23 of the window frame hollow profile. The abutment plate 12 cannot then be moved any further, since the rear narrow edges 15 'of the legs 15 of the shoe lying outside the web side edges 14' rest on the outer surface of the frame profile A, cf. in particular FIG. 4. Furthermore, the upper end edges 15 ″ of the U-legs 15 clamp on the outer surface F of a profile web 24 of the hollow profile, see FIG. 5. At the same time, the support lug 19 acts on the inner surface of the chamber wall 25 supporting the base plate Weld bead 26 of the miter joint of this chamber wall 25 such that the two fastening screws 9 adjacent to this weld bead 26 can engage on opposite sides of the weld bead.

After arranging the abutment plate 12, the scissor bearing 2 is to be attached. Its box 4 engages in the opening 3 and then enters between the U-legs 15 in such a way that the shoe positively embraces the lower region of the box 4 lining the opening 3. The four fastening screws 9 can then be screwed in. The lower two enter the beam profile 10, while the upper two fastening screws 9 dip into the abutment plate 12. In this way, a permanent, immovable seat of the base plate 5 and thus the scissor bearing 2 can be generated. When the upper fastening screws are tightened, the case may arise that the abutment plate is supported on the weld bead 26 and that the support lug 19 digs into the chamber wall 25 slightly.
