Abstract

1. Support for invalids'beds, in particular a stretcher support or treatment table in ambulances or the like, with pneumatic springing which optionally also permits vertical adjustment of the sprung support part, and also with a possibility for blocking the spring support part to render it vertically immovable, characterized in that the sprung support part (2) is connected with a rod part (12, 13') which executes a longitudinal displacement during sprung strokes of the sprung support part (2) and can be fixed relative to the non-sprung support part (21) or the floor by means of a pneumatically actuatable brake (17), which engage with its brake jaws (31) in chuck-like manner around the rod part (12, 23') which cooperates with it.
