Im wesentlichen unterscheiden sich die beiden Vorrichtungen durch ihre Kupplungseinrichtung. Das konische Übergangsstück 21 ist mit einem Ansatz mit einer zentrischen Gewindebohrung 22 versehen, die auf die als Gewindespindel ausgebildete Zugstange 3 aufgeschraubt ist. Mittels einer umlaufenden Schweißnaht 23 sind das Kupplungsteil 16' und die Zugstange 3 drehfest miteinander verbunden. Das Kupplungsteil 16' weist zwei in Bohrungen 21 eingesetzte nach innen ragende Zapfen 34 auf, die jeweils außen mit einer umlaufenden Schweißnaht 35 befestigt sind.The two devices essentially differ in their coupling device. Claims (18)

  1. Device including a sheet-metal-encased gas-purge brick and a device for extracting a sheet-metal-encased gas-purge brick with a centric gas-connecting pipe from a well block (2) or a well-block sleeve, consisting of a frame (1) adapted to rest upon the exterior of the well block (2) or the well block sleeve or upom the outer wall of the metallurgical vessel, a drawbar (3) displaceable axially in said frame in relation to said metallurgical vessel and adapted to be set up in alignment with the centreline of the gas-purge brick (5), a device (4) provided on said drawbar, for coupling the end thereof to said gas-purge brick and a driving means (10) for displacing said drawbar in a direction away from the well block (2), characterized in that the coupling device (4) comprises the following elements:
    a) a coupling part (16) provided at the end of a drawbar (3) and having at least one hole (20) disposed at right angles thereto;
    b) a countercoupling part (18) provided on the sheet-metal end (17) of the gas-purge brick (5), the counter-coupling part (18), fitted to the gas-purge brick (5), is in the form of a cylinder (24) which has two holes (27) in alignment with each other and is longer than the gas-connecting pipe (26) which it surrounds concentrically, the distance between the said holes (27) and the sheet-metal end (17) of the gas-purge brick being greater than the length of the gas-connecting pipe (26),
    c) a coupling pin (28) adapted to be passed through the holes (20, 27) in alignment with each other.
  2. A device according to claim 1, characterized in that the coupling part (16) on the drawbar (3) comprises a cylindrical end section (19) with two holes (20) in alignment with each other.
  3. A device according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the inside diameter of the cylindrical end-section (19) of the coupling part (16), provided on the drawbar, is greater than the outside diameter of the cylindrical counter-coupling part (18) fitted to the purge brick.
  4. Device for extracting a sheet-metal-encased gas-purge brick with a centric gas-connecting pipe from a well block (2) or a well block sleeve, consisting of a frame (1) adapted to rest upon the exterior of the well block (2) adapted to rest upon the exterior of the well block (2) or the well block sleeve or upon the outer wall of the metallurgical vessel, a drawbar (3) displaceable axially in said frame in relation to said metallurgical vessel and adapted to be set up in alignment with the centreline of the gas-purge brick; a device (4), provided on said drawbar, for coupling the end thereof to said gas-purge brick and a driving means (10) for displacing said drawbar in a direction away from the well block, characterized in that the coupling device (4) consists of two cylindrical coupling parts (16', 18'), fittable into one another, and in that one of the coupling parts (16', 18') is provided with at least two radial studs (34) inserted into the cylindrical wall and projecting inwardly and/or outwardly, and in that the other coupling part (18', 16') comprises a corresponding number of slots (36) running from the outer end, of a suitable width for the accomodation of the said studs, arranged in equal peripheral distribution, each of the said slots running initially approximately axially and then running at right angles, in the peripheral direction, for more than one stud-diameter, the said coupling parts (16', 18') being adapted to slide freely one into the other and to be locked together.
  5. A device according to claim 4, characterized in that, for the purpose of easy accessibility, the gas-connecting pipe (26) projects beyond the coupling part (18) fitted to the gas-purge brick (5).
  6. A device according to claim 4 or 5, characterized in that the studs (34) project substantially inwardly, the relevant coupling part (16') being larger in diameter than the coupling part (18) provided with the slots (36).
  7. A device according to one of claims 4 to 6, characterized in that the coupling part (16) carrying the studs (34) is secured to the drawbar (3).
  8. A device according to one of claims 4 to 7, characterized in that, in order to faciliate the introduction of the studs (34), the outer ends of the slots (36) on the coupling part (18) are widened (33).
  9. A device according to one of the claims 4 to 8, characterized in that the dead end of each slot(36) is provided with a bulge (32), directed to the counter-coupling part (16'), for engangement with the studs (34).
  10. A device according to one of claims 4 to 9, characterized in that the studs (34) are made of steel rod.
  11. A device according to one of claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the frame (1) is in the form of a tripod, the three legs (7) being seated upon a central guide-sleeve (6).
  12. A device according to claim 11, characterized in that a holder (9) is provided on the frame (1), adjacent the guide-sleeve (6), for the accommodation of the driving means (10) which displaces the drawbar (3).
  13. A device according to claim 12, characterized in that the driving means is in the form of a hollow-piston-cylinder (12) actuated by a pressure-medium, arranged in alignment with the guide-sleeve, and traversed by the drawbar (3), the said drawbar being adapted to be locked on or in the hollow piston (14) at least during the extraction process.
  14. A device according to claim 12 or 13, characterized in that the drawbar (3) is in the form of a threaded spindle which carries, on the end projecting from the hollow piston (14) and remote from the coupling device (4), an internally threaded handwheel (15) which is adapted to be screwed towards the end-face of the said hollow piston and can be brought to bear upon a bearing surface on the opposing end-face therof.
  15. A device according to one of the claims 1 to 14, characterized in that means are provided for locking the handwheel (15) to the threaded spindle (3).
  16. A device according to claim 15, characterized in that the end of the threaded spindle (3) projecting from the frame (1) comprises a hole or a slot (30), while the handwheel (15) has a transverse hole (31), the said spindle and handwheel being adapted to be locked together by means of a split-pin (37).
  17. A gas-purge brick which can be withdrawn from a well block or a well block sleeve with a device according to one of claims 1 to 3 and 11 to 16, characterized by a counter-coupling part (18), provided at the sheet-metal end (17), which consists of a cylinder (24) welded to the said sheet-metal end and surrounding the gas-connecting pipe (26) concentrically, the said counter-coupling part being longer than the said counter-coupling part and the section of the said counter-coupling part projecting beyond the said connecting pipe comprising two holes (27) in alignment with each other.
  18. A gas-purge brick which can be withdrawn from a well block or a well block sleeve with a device according to on e of claims 4 to 16, characterized by a counter-coupling part (18'), provided at the sheet-metal end (17), which consists of a cylinder (24) welded to the said sheet-metal end and surrounding the gas-connecting pipe concentrically, the said counter-coupling part being shorter than the said connecting pipe, and either being provided with at least two radial studs (34) projecting inwardly and/or outwardly, or comprising slots running from its outer end, each of which originally runs approximately axially and then runs at right angles in the peripheral direction.
