Floor stands of this type are also known as so-called second displays and have proven themselves in practice. A basic embodiment of such a floor stand describes the DE-OS 29 02 573 8 and 9. They have the advantage, which is very important in practice, that the foot can be wrapped around the unfolded, square-shaped container to save space in a U-shaped or L-shaped manner, so that the one filled with the relevant articles Can be sent together with its foot to save space. At the point of sale, for example in a retail store, the floor stand is then unfolded in a few simple steps, for which the foot only has to be brought into its extended position, after which it is pivoted under the container. During this pivoting process, the foot is automatically unfolded, namely because the distance between its front and rear walls is increased to the distance from the position of use in the mentioned pivoting process.

While in the mentioned DE-OS the connection between the foot and the container took place via two separate adhesive tabs, the European laid-open specification 54 884 describes a similar floor stand, the connection between the foot and the container taking place via a roof field that the front and The back wall of the foot is stretched to a certain extent. The present invention can be used for all types of such floor stands according to the mentioned DE-OS as well as the mentioned EU-OS.

It is common to both previously known floor stands that the bottom of the container is flat. The items stored in the container are therefore at the same level. For reasons of sales psychology, however, it is advantageous if the items are presented to the buyer in an increasing row from front to back.

Here the floor stand according to US Pat. No. 3,164,350 already suggests a usable solution when the rear wall of the foot and the part of the two side walls adjoining it are extended upwards. Corresponding slots are provided in the bottom and in the rear wall of the associated container so that the container can be placed on the foot from above such that the extensions of the two side walls pass through the bottom of the container and to a certain extent in the rear area of the container protrude into its interior. A flat blank is then formed from above on the projections thus formed. The container is also divided into a rear and a front compartment by a blank which is bent in an L-shape in a side view and which bears with its rear partition against the front edges of the extensions of the side walls. The L-shaped blank is also loose from. placed in the top of the container.

The disadvantage of this is, on the one hand, that this known floor stand is not designed as a second display. This means that the construction of the floor stand is relatively cumbersome, because after the foot has been unfolded, the container separated from the foot must be placed on the foot. Another disadvantage is that there is a risk that the L-shaped profile will move backwards during transport, especially if there are only loosely packed articles in the container. Such a shift to the rear is possible during transport because the container is separate from the foot. When later unfolding there is a risk that the butt the step-forming upper edges of the rear parts of the side walls of the foot against the horizontal plate of the L-profile, so that the unfolding process does not proceed properly. °

The German utility model 19 03 353 describes another type of floor stand, the foot also being formed separately from the container. In the bottom of the container, through openings for upwardly projecting posts of the foot are formed and the flat-folded foot has dimensions such that it can be transported in the container. A tiered arrangement of the articles is not possible. Another disadvantage is that the volume of the container is not available for the transportation of articles to be sold.

The invention avoids these disadvantages. It is based on the object of designing a floor stand of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that, while maintaining the advantages of this so-called second display described at the outset, the articles in the container can be presented in several stages, the stages being intended to form themselves properly during the unfolding process, that means without additional handles.

To achieve this object, the invention is characterized in that the rear wall of the foot is extended above the hinge connecting the rear wall to the roof panel (folding line), that the side walls on their rear sides are also extended approximately to the same height that then forward in the side walls at least one step is formed, that cutouts are formed in the bottom of the container for the passage of the step-raised parts of the side walls, that matching incisions are formed in the rear wall of the container and / or in the rear extensions of the side walls of the foot, that in the container in front of each step of the side walls of the foot there is a partition wall, the ends of which are fixedly connected to these side walls of the container, and that cut strips are provided for those compartments of the container created by these partition walls and into which the steps project from below, which can be inserted loosely into the relevant compartment from above and which rest on the upper edges of the steps of the side walls of the foot when the floor stand is unfolded.

If the foot is folded from its flat-folded, stretched position under the container, the extensions of the side walls pass from below through the cut-outs mentioned in the bottom of the container and, together with the cut strips placed on the steps, form in the compartments of the container formed by the partition walls Steps out. The articles in the container are raised during this process so that they are presented to the viewer in a stepped arrangement that increases from front to back. The unfolding process takes place automatically without any further action, among other things because the ends of the partition walls are firmly attached to the side walls of the container and therefore cannot slip.

The number of levels will be taken according to the respective circumstances, especially the type and size of the Container packed items. At least one level is provided and generally one or two levels will be sufficient. Basically, however, the number of levels is arbitrary.

The attachment of the partition walls to the container, which is important for the invention, preferably takes place in that the side walls of the container are designed as cardboard walls, the partition walls being double-layered with holding tabs bent at right angles at their ends for receiving between the layers of the side walls. The double-layered nature of the side walls including the rear wall and possibly the front wall of the container can also be used to insert billboards and the like into one or more corresponding slots in the rear wall of the container.

The invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of an exemplary embodiment from which further important features result. The figures show a floor stand according to the invention with three compartments of the container, corresponding to three stages. The structure of a floor stand with more or fewer compartments and stages is basically the same.

The foot has a front wall 1, side walls 2 and a rear wall 3. In the side walls, longitudinal fold lines 4 are formed in the center from top to bottom. In addition, a lower transverse fold line 5 is formed in all the walls of the foot and an upper transverse fold line 6 above it. Following the example of the two published documents described above, the upper transverse fold line 6 can possibly also be omitted, or. it is only intended as a fold line for one of the adhesive tabs.

A roof panel 7 (see FIG. 3) is articulated on the front wall 1 and on the rear wall 3. The fold lines provided for this purpose are located on the front wall on the upper one Edge of the front wall and at the rear wall preferably at the same level, that is at a distance 8 from the upper edge of the rear wall. Fig. 1 shows that the container of the floor stand is aligned horizontally in the position of use; but if the container is to assume a slightly inclined position, the distance 8 will be reduced accordingly.

The roof panel 7 is divided by a transverse folding line 9 into a front part 10 and a rear part 11. A bottom 12 of the container 13 mentioned is glued to the front part 10 of the roof panel.

The container consists of the bottom, two side walls 14 and possibly a front wall 15, which, however, as shown in particular in FIG. 2, can also be cut out; it can also be omitted entirely.

In particular Fig. .3 shows that the rear wall 3 of the foot is extended upwards by the distance 8. The adjoining part of the side walls 2 of the foot is correspondingly extended and thereby forms an uppermost step 16. This is followed by a middle step 17 and in turn a front step 18. As already mentioned, the side walls can also be designed in two stages, four stages, etc.

In the bottom 12 of the container 13, cutouts 19 are provided which allow the steps 16, 17 of the side walls of the foot to pass through during the unfolding process. In the rear wall of the container, the cutouts 19 pass into slots 20 which are at a predetermined distance below the end of the top edge of the rear wall of the container.

The container is divided into several compartments by partitions 21 which extend in the transverse direction. In particular, Fig. 4 shows that one of the partitions is in front of each of the steps 16, 17. Fig. 5 shows that the partitions 21 are double-layered with holding tabs 22 bent at right angles at their ends. One of the layers of the side walls 14 has slots 23 in the region of the partition walls 21. The partition walls 21 are thus fastened well at their ends to the side walls 14 of the container by the cardboard walls formed in this way.

Fig. 5 also shows that the rearmost partition 21 has cutouts 24 on its underside for the passage of step 17.

Flat cut parts are placed on the upper edges of the steps 16, 17, which are somewhat smaller than the compartments created by the partition walls 21, the side walls and the rear or front wall of the container (FIG. 4 shows a total of three such compartments). The articles in question are thus stacked on these flat blank parts.

If the flat-folded foot is unfolded, the extensions or steps 16, 17 of the side walls thus pass through the cut-outs 19 in the bottom of the container and the flat blank parts resting on these steps, together with the articles on them, are raised so that the articles themselves present to the buyer in several stages.

The rear wall and possibly the front wall of the container are double-layered. One or more slots can therefore be provided in the rear wall of the container, into which holding tongues of a further blank are then inserted from above. This blank is either upright on the rear wall and serves as a billboard and / or it can also be folded forward, in which case it acts like a lid and protects the items packed in the container.
