Abstract
An electric vacuum regulator (EVR) (20) in response to a
pulsed electric signal regulates its output vacuum value. The
pulsed electric signal, which is generally generated in an elec
tronic control unit (26), is typically duty cycled so as to mix in
put vacuum with some other source of air pressure, such as
atmospheric, to achieve the desired level of output vacuum.
