Abstract

An electric vacuum regulator (EVR) (20) in response to a pulsed electric signal regulates its output vacuum value. The pulsed electric signal, which is generally generated in an elec­ tronic control unit (26), is typically duty cycled so as to mix in­ put vacuum with some other source of air pressure, such as atmospheric, to achieve the desired level of output vacuum.
