Definitions
- the invention relates to a protective grille, in particular for securing building openings or for enclosing plots of land with straight, hollow grille bars which contain an optical monitoring system which triggers an alarm signal when a grille bar is severed.
- Protective grids of this type are known from DE-OS 3o 29 712.
- the protective lattice has hollow, serpentine lattice bars, into the cavities of which electrical or optical strips are threaded.
- Several such protective grids are put together to form a fence. If the bars of such a protective screen are cut, the optical or electrical conductor is also interrupted or damaged, which triggers an alarm.
- a disadvantage of such a protective grille is, on the one hand, the complicated and expensive manufacture. On the other hand, after damage to the protective grille, the repair is extremely time-consuming because it is difficult to thread the new lines into the repaired grille.
- Another disadvantage of the known protective grille is that the monitoring system does not react to a more or less strong deflection of the protective grille because the electrical or optical conductor can bend with the grille rod without an alarm being triggered.
- a similar protective grille with the same disadvantages is known from DE-AS 26 53 o56.
- the object of the present invention is therefore to develop the protective grille of the type mentioned above in such a way that it is easier to manufacture, more convenient to repair and triggers an alarm even when the grate bars deflect a certain amount.
- the invention proposes that light sources or light receivers are arranged at the opposite ends of the bars and that the light passes directly from the light source to the light receiver through the cavity of the bars.
- the light sources are light-emitting diodes and the light receivers are photodiodes.
- Light-emitting diodes and photodiodes have become cheap, mass-produced items that have proven their functional reliability. They work with little energy and can be built as small as required.
- the sensitivity of the protective grille can also be adjusted. If the alarm is to be triggered when the bars are deflected only slightly, the sensitivity of the light receiver will be as follows set that a slight weakening of the incident light is sufficient to trigger the alarm. If, on the other hand, the response sensitivity of the protective grille is to be lower, the sensitivity of the light receiver is set such that only a stronger weakening of the light that occurs triggers an alarm.
- the inside of the tubular grille bars can optionally be provided with a protective layer. This protective layer protects the inside of the lattice rod against corrosion. The smoothing of the surface of the inside of the lattice rod caused by the coating also contributes to an improved light-guiding behavior of the lattice rod, so that it is possible to work with more precisely defined lighting conditions.
- the interior of the lattice bar can also be completely or partially covered with transparent material, e.g. be filled with a clear plastic.
- the tubular lattice bars are expediently arranged horizontally and their ends protrude into the cavities of the fence posts.
- the light sources and light receivers located at the ends of the horizontally extending bars are protected against external influences, e.g. Weather conditions or the use of force, protected.
- a security fence equipped in this way cannot be seen from the outside that it has an electronic monitoring system.
- Another advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the light sources and light receivers are arranged on rails accommodated in the fence post.
- the manufacture and repairability is further simplified.
- the bars of the protective grille do not need to be individually equipped with light sources and light receivers, so that a destroyed protective grid can be quickly replaced by a new one in later use, the rails with the light sources or light receivers being removed from the old protective grid and onto the new one Protective grids can be attached. If, on the other hand, faults occur in the area of the light sources or the light receivers, only the rail in question is replaced. A lengthy search for the source of the error can be avoided.
- Fig. 1 shows a protective grille, which is designated by the reference numeral 1.
- the protective grating consists of grating bars 2 arranged parallel to one another and perpendicular to these grating bars 3, also arranged parallel to one another.
- the grating bars 2 are tubular.
- In the openings of the tubular lattice bars 2 there are light-emitting diodes 4 on one side of the protective grating 1 and photodiodes 5 on the opposite side. Both the light-emitting diodes 4 and the photodiodes 5 are connected to energy supply and signal transmission lines 6.
- the protective grille 1 serves as a fuse for a skylight dome 8.
- the protective grid 1 works as follows.
- the light emitting diodes 4 continuously emit light which falls through the tubular grating bars 2 onto the photodiodes 5 with a defined light intensity. If a tubular grid rod 2 is bent or even cut through, no light or only light with insufficient light intensity falls on the photodiode 5.
- This deviation from the set sensitivity value of the photodiode 5 is determined by the electronic monitoring device 7, which triggers an alarm in this case.
- the sensitivity of the photodiodes 5 can be adjusted so that, with less deflection of the bars 2, the light which reaches the photodiode 5 by scattering through the bars 2 is still sufficient to withhold the triggering of the alarm. It is hereby achieved that the protective grille is not triggered even at slight loads, for example by children playing or animals colliding with the grille.
- the inner surfaces of the tubular lattice bars are optionally provided with a protective layer 9 (see FIG. 3), so that corrosion cannot endanger a long service life of the protective lattice 1 and the lighting conditions remain constant over a long period.

Description
The invention relates to a protective grille, in particular for securing building openings or for enclosing plots of land with straight, hollow grille bars which contain an optical monitoring system which triggers an alarm signal when a grille bar is severed.
Protective grids of this type are known from DE-OS 3o 29 712. In the lattice fence described there, the protective lattice has hollow, serpentine lattice bars, into the cavities of which electrical or optical strips are threaded. Several such protective grids are put together to form a fence. If the bars of such a protective screen are cut, the optical or electrical conductor is also interrupted or damaged, which triggers an alarm.
A disadvantage of such a protective grille is, on the one hand, the complicated and expensive manufacture. On the other hand, after damage to the protective grille, the repair is extremely time-consuming because it is difficult to thread the new lines into the repaired grille. Another disadvantage of the known protective grille is that the monitoring system does not react to a more or less strong deflection of the protective grille because the electrical or optical conductor can bend with the grille rod without an alarm being triggered. A similar protective grille with the same disadvantages is known from DE-AS 26 53 o56.
The object of the present invention is therefore to develop the protective grille of the type mentioned above in such a way that it is easier to manufacture, more convenient to repair and triggers an alarm even when the grate bars deflect a certain amount.
To achieve this object, the invention proposes that light sources or light receivers are arranged at the opposite ends of the bars and that the light passes directly from the light source to the light receiver through the cavity of the bars.
The manufacture of such a protective grille is simple since it is not necessary to thread any cables. The repair is just as easy. If a tubular lattice rod is destroyed or damaged, only this needs to be replaced; if a light source or a light receiver fails, they can be replaced quickly and easily. In addition, the monitoring system of such a protective grille already responds when a grating rod bends, because in this case the light does not reach the light receiver, or only insufficiently.
In an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the light sources are light-emitting diodes and the light receivers are photodiodes. Light-emitting diodes and photodiodes have become cheap, mass-produced items that have proven their functional reliability. They work with little energy and can be built as small as required.
If the sensitivity of the light receiver can be adjusted, the sensitivity of the protective grille can also be adjusted. In order to ensure safe operation of the protective grille according to the invention over long periods of time, the inside of the tubular grille bars can optionally be provided with a protective layer. This protective layer protects the inside of the lattice rod against corrosion. The smoothing of the surface of the inside of the lattice rod caused by the coating also contributes to an improved light-guiding behavior of the lattice rod, so that it is possible to work with more precisely defined lighting conditions.
For the same purpose, the interior of the lattice bar can also be completely or partially covered with transparent material, e.g. be filled with a clear plastic.
When using the protective grille according to the invention in a security fence with hollow fence posts, the tubular lattice bars are expediently arranged horizontally and their ends protrude into the cavities of the fence posts. As a result, the light sources and light receivers located at the ends of the horizontally extending bars are protected against external influences, e.g. Weather conditions or the use of force, protected. A security fence equipped in this way cannot be seen from the outside that it has an electronic monitoring system.
Another advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the light sources and light receivers are arranged on rails accommodated in the fence post. At this Embodiment, the manufacture and repairability is further simplified. The bars of the protective grille do not need to be individually equipped with light sources and light receivers, so that a destroyed protective grid can be quickly replaced by a new one in later use, the rails with the light sources or light receivers being removed from the old protective grid and onto the new one Protective grids can be attached. If, on the other hand, faults occur in the area of the light sources or the light receivers, only the rail in question is replaced. A lengthy search for the source of the error can be avoided.

Bei diesem Ausführungsbeispiel dient das Schutzgitter 1 als Sicherung für eine Lichtkuppel 8.Fig. 1 shows a protective grille, which is designated by the reference numeral 1. The protective grating consists of
The protective grid 1 works as follows. The light emitting diodes 4 continuously emit light which falls through the
The inner surfaces of the tubular lattice bars are optionally provided with a protective layer 9 (see FIG. 3), so that corrosion cannot endanger a long service life of the protective lattice 1 and the lighting conditions remain constant over a long period.
Alternatively, the interior of the hollow lattice bar can also be completely or partially filled with transparent material, for example plastic glass, as indicated in FIG. 3 on the right-hand side with the reference symbol lo.
Fig. 2 shows a portion of a security fence with a protective grille according to the invention.
