Description

The invention relates to a display wall for the presentation of feathers and / or down, in which transparent receptacles are arranged in a frame for receiving different types of feathers and / or down, which carry a translucent cover and a light box on top of them.

Sein Anwendungsgebiet ist das Einzelhandelsgeschäft, in welchem Federn und Betten verkauft werden und in welchem einzelne Kunden zu beraten sind, was eine leichte Transportierbarkeit und kompakte Bauform des Ständers voraussetzt.EP-A-0 039 833 discloses a demonstration stand according to the preamble of claim 1 for the presentation of feathers and down and of pillows filled with them. With this demonstration stand, the feathers and down are shown in vertical, tubular, transparent containers, which are arranged in a group on a frame. The arrangement of the containers is such that they are partly side by side and partly one behind the other, so that a comparative view of all feathers or down is not possible from one direction. Since only a single light box is provided for all containers, the light distribution over the containers is uneven, which leads to falsifications of the outer appearances of the different types of feathers and downs which are visible to the viewer. Due to the curvature of the container wall, the feathers and down also appear slightly distorted. In addition, the number of containers is very limited, because when the number is increased above z. B. five containers beyond the confusion even larger and the stand would be impractical bulky. Its area of application is the retail store, in which springs and beds are sold and in which individual customers are advised, which requires easy transportability and compact design of the stand.

The invention has for its object to provide an advertising effective display wall, through which prospective buyers can be informed about the quality and nature of different spring material in a simple manner.

This object is achieved according to the invention by a display wall of the type mentioned at the outset, which is characterized in that the containers are arranged in a row next to one another and are flat on the front side, that the container cross section corresponds to an isosceles triangle, the base of which is directed towards the front side a light box is arranged for each container and a translucent cover is arranged between the container top and light box.

The display wall enables customers to clearly demonstrate different types of feathers and down side by side. In addition, a particularly effective advertising effect is achieved due to the large-scale presentation of the spring goods in the individually illuminated containers. The display wall makes it easier for the customer to assess the different spring qualities due to the flat design of the containers on the front side, since an undistorted view is possible. Prism-shaped containers are used to hold the feathers and down, the cross-section of which corresponds to an isosceles triangle, the base surface being directed towards the face. It is important that these containers not only give the customer a flat presentation of the feathers and down, but also an impression of the packing of the feathers in a thicker layer, without the need to use a lot of spring material.

In a further embodiment, the display wall also offers the customer the opportunity to feel the quality of the individual types of feathers or down. For this purpose, each container has an opening on the flat front side of the container above the down pack, which can be closed by a flap made of transparent material.

Further advantageous embodiments of the display wall are specified in the dependent claims 3 and 4 and are explained in more detail with reference to the following description of a drawing of an exemplary embodiment. Show it:
  • FIG. 1 shows a top view of a display wall,
  • FIG. 2 shows a view of a spring-filled container of the display wall according to FIG. 1,
  • 3 shows a longitudinal section through the container of Figure 2 and
  • Figure 4 is a view of the top of the display wall in the area of a container.

According to FIG. 1, the display wall 1 has a frame 2, in which several containers 3 are arranged in a row next to one another.

The containers 3, which are prism-shaped, are oriented so that one of their flat side surfaces, namely the base surface, is directed towards the viewing side. These flat surfaces form the front end of the display wall.

As FIGS. 2 and 3 show, the containers 3 can be filled with feathers or down of different quality up to an opening 4 on their flat front. The opening 4 is at a comfortable gripping height and is normally closed by a flap 5 articulated at the upper edge of the opening. To assess the quality of the springs, the flap 5 can be pivoted and springs can be removed from the container 3. Container 3 and flap 5 are made of transparent material, for example plexiglass, so that an unimpeded visual inspection of the spring material can take place.

A light box 6 is placed on top of each of the containers 3 and contains a light source 7 on the inside. The cross section of the light box 6 corresponds to the container cross section, so that the containers 3 are optically extended by the light boxes 5. The side surfaces of the light boxes 6, which are also made of plexiglass, are provided with an opaque, decorative paint. Light from the light source 7 in the light box 6 falls through a translucent cover 8, which is arranged between the top of the container and the light box 6, onto the spring filling of the container 3.

The frame 2, in which the containers 3 are arranged, has a base plate 9 and a head plate 10, which run parallel to one another. In the base plate 9 and the top plate 10, recesses 11 are made opposite each other, into which the container 3 with its underside or the top of the light boxes 6 are inserted. A U-profile strip 12 on the front edge of the head plate 10 reinforces the frame construction. The profile strip 12 also serves as a guide for the wiring of the light sources 7. From the profile strip 12 branches off in the area of the cutouts 11 for the tops of the light boxes 6 webs 13 which serve as a holder for the light sources 7.
